First of all, the closed captioning interpreted your ducks quacking as "laughter" and the sound of your sewing machine as "applause," which I think is both delightful and appropriate. Secondly, I'm so glad to see someone who hates sewing and struggles with their bobbins as much as I do! Thank you for showing this slice of reality! I especially agree with your remarks on how it feels to produce instead of just consume. I remember the first time I wove a tea towel on my loom, and how ridiculously proud I felt. I produced fabric! I am warrior woman! Tee hee.
We may not have all of the answers to raising children, but you are doing a marvelous job and all of the right things!! I've raised children and had only a fraction of your insight as a young mother. Again, you are giving your child a rich and engaging life. They will contribute much to society from your example. Being good stewards of our planet is a monumental contribution. Good for you Mom!!!🙏💕
I watched your video on all the things wrong with your tiny house and thought why would anybody want to live like that, thank you for helping me understand your choices. Curtains look great!
So thankful that you are sharing your very inspirational story! Your girls are so fortunate to have you as mom; what they are learning and experiencing is invaluable!! It's great that your love for looking after your animals can help give you that strength and energy to get beyond your pain when you are not feeling well. Don't be so hard on yourself during the times when you need to rest as your courage and strength during your good days is remarkable! ❤
I think you have the right ideas about growing your own food and raising your children in nature is the most important things that you are doing. Koodos to you.
I’m loving this video! New sub here! We have a similar size channel! I’m also a single mom, trying to currently get to the point where I can even buy land just so I can live more simply with my children. You’re doing great mama, and you’re inspiring! Glad I found you! ❤️
You and I are 2 peas in a pod... Except my children are adulting already. This IS the healthiest lifestyle for our brain types. I'm not an inside person one bit. I've known my whole life I'd never be an office staff. I have an education enough to be a mucky muk, but I'd rather be mucky😂. Those are lovely curtains. As for hating sewing I get it. In school I was happier in industrial arts (80% Shop class) than in cooking and sewing (10% in sewing, 25% in cooking) but now... I love cooking, I'm good at cooking, and honestly I love sewing too. Sometimes hating something is not seeing it's value or understanding the mechanics of the process. I've made quilts. Beautiful quilts and and 1 actual skirt (out of an old paint covered duvet cover with dolphins on it, and a coat out of actual curtains I found at the charity shop. Do you have a po box? Or email address?
I live in a tiny house. My son and I built together. I'm single. I could not afford to live in an apartment. Too expensive. It can be hard. I bring in water. I have a lot of solar. I'm sooo happy.
Oh, wow! Hello, friend! I am so glad that you were able to find a way to live a GOOD life without money. It is hard, but it is fulfilling. Thank you for commenting - it is wonderful to know that there are others like us out there! Congratulations on building your house with your son! What a gift.
A idea... Your home is a classroom! Filled with love, kindness, reliability, care, creativeness, food, answers ATENDANCE, attention, cleanliness, communication, innovative creations, cooking, warmth, building on ethics, with many windows of nature through active participation.
I agree with a lot of what you say. I don't live the same kind of life style but my philosophy to life is very similar, I work for myself doing something that is needed. It gives me a certain freedom and choice over my routine. I also unschool my ADHD daughter.
I try to do the best that I can with what I’ve got too. (…and I’m blessed with autism - but only diagnosed at 40 when my best/only friend died in the March and my next best friend/only friend died in the August, and I just wasn’t coping, and went for counselling - and it was suggested to me that I was autistic. To prove them wrong, I took the test with them and it turned out I was very autistic! I phoned my sister to tell her and she said it wasn’t normal to run away from home at 18, to go live in a field miles from anywhere, and three hours travel away from home - who knew?!)
Part of the reason you have little money is that YOU SAY you hate money. You speak poverty into your life and the way you feel so passionate about hating money is a large part of why you have little of it. We are creators of our own experiences. We create the life we want by speaking it into existence and working from that perspective. Money is not inherently bad or good. It is a tool that we use to make our lives better. The more you have of it, the more you can do without struggling to accomplish the things you want in life. Money is a good thing because of what it helps us to achieve. This is my perspective from observing the things you discuss in your videos. I think you're doing amazing and trying to teach your girls the right way. By the way, hard work is not what you're doing. It's productive work and you're being a role model.
The more you have, the more dependant on it you become. All the commitments, set life standard that's only possible with money will suck your life away. For some freedom is more important.
And no, it's debetable will her daughters benefit from hard work. Yes and no. She saw her mother suffer through life and now has her mother's mindset. The girls are next in line, but life of struggle is not the only way.
@@sylmarie6494 what I don't get is why is it seen as a struggle, its living, its life, its an adventure. Ive lived the easy comfortable life thats considered "successful".. .. I now live a life simular to this... I wouldn't have it any other way... an easy life is not necessarily fulfilling.
@sylmarie6494 - I am so disillusioned with “speak it into existence” I haven’t been able to walk since 2012, because I don’t have working ligaments in my right leg, and all my joints are weak and unstable - and if I try to stand up, I faint because my blood pressure drops. (I have EDS). I loved walking and was walking 25 miles a day, up until about a month before I couldn’t. I have tried everything to be able to walk and multiple physio’s and doctors have said I’m causing too much damage by continuing to try to walk (I’ve broken both hips and they keep dislocating). Everyday I say “I can walk” and “I will walk”, so why isn’t it happening?
Ask God to guide you. The Bible says if we ask for wisdom, God will ALWAYS give it to us. You are doing the right thing. You have a good balance. We need to teach our kids the wrong that is going on in the world, age appropriate so they know not to participate in that when they grow up. Hence, the meaning of the Scripture verse that says Come out from among them and be ye separate. "them" being the world and the worldly ways rather than the ways of the Lord.

Jesus can deliver us out of any dark place.! With that said. That is great that you are working to be sustainable! Praise God for His provision.

I agree: balance is what it's all about.

I see where some channels have a super "Thanks" tab so we can send you a financial gift. Are you able to set that up so I can send you one???
Solo mom of 4 definitely a must!
Whoa. Keep a chin up and a happy outlook!
Peanut butter, and summer sausage. Good shelf life. And jams.

Think youth of your age group. Be a leader in helping others know the health benefits of living with nature.
