UPDATE: After talking with my Son-in-Law, who has never had a problem with this firearm, I learned that he had changed the recoil spring to a heavier rate for shooting hot 10mm loads. As I was shooting normal, low-power range ammunition, the pistol's timing was probably off, which could have caused the malfunctions that I was experiencing. The range day was a good demonstration of what can happen when the incorrect recoil spring rate is used for the ammunition being fired.
@@gurugoguzhanson Thanks for watching and commenting. He is correct. Stainless-steel expands faster than carbon steel under heat. This expansion means tighter clearances between moving parts as parts heat up and friction increases - like slide and frame and barrel to barrel bushing. Firearms like the 1911 and other stainless pistols with substantial slide-to-frame surface areas are susceptible to "galling" if not lubricated properly. I would rather run mine a little on the wet side than not.
Its a shame you had all those issues with that Tanfoglio! I have several Tanfoglios including a Witness Pro in 10mm and never had and issue. Is my favorite 10mm handgun!
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, it was a shame. I like the pistol, the size being about the same as my CZ 97B. It just did not perform as I expected from it. My Son-in-Law, the owner of the gun, said that e never had problems with it. Maybe I was just having a bad day.
Thanks for Watching and commenting. EAA (European American Armory) was the importer. Tanfoglio, of Italy, is the manufacturer. Tanfoglio firearms are now imported by IFG - the Italian Firearms Group.

According to my old gunsmith, stainless steel pistols need more oil. Just guessing it might have played a little part.

Great video. Big 10mm fan here.
But FYI, the "G" in Tanfoglio is silent.
So it is pronounced as "Tan Foe Lee Oh"
Thanks for watching and commenting and thanks for providing the correct pronunciation. I probably always mispronounce Fiocchi, as well.

Nothing I want to deal with,,,,10mm is not my favorite round, hard hitting with both targets and my wrist….good luck…..
Thanks for watching and commenting, once again. The 10mm can be abusive, for sure.
I thought EAA was German and Turkish, but I guess not this one
