Company recommend 10 w 30 grade mineral oil for my 200 cc bike but i am facing heating issues on driving above economy mode and after heating it lacks refinement and sounds like a stressed one. Can i upgrade it to motul fully synthetic 10w 50 ? Is it safe to do so?
Why not pour at operating temperature.. And frankly most car owners think oil viscosity will be same in crankcase when they see it pour down while changing oil. The confusion at ice cold temperatures and full hot Saudi Arabia's temperate still hits the imagination of the car owners!! Manufacturers could make a hole to put oil on cams as bikes oil their chain isn't it 😅😎🤣. And 100 years of racing records are still there with normal oil too !!
Using the information, provided, in the Video, it seems as though the "40" would be thicker or "not as thin", as it's viscosity is maintained, through the "higher end " of the Temperature range, but, not as high, as, a "20W-50", which would, seemingly, at least, be thicker, still, as both numbers are higher. I hope you can tell i am making shit, up. Boredom, you know.
I understand much better now
Is this oil is the same as hydraulic oil which is used in hydraulic machinery or different?
5w30 good for summer hot water ?

If there is a reputable Motorcycle Mechanic, in your area, i would ask him or her.
Need a better explanation of the high temperature numbers
30 = 30000 Degrees Celsius. 20 = 20000 Degrees Fahrenheit @ Room Temperature, but, only if you are high.
