I had a sciatica and lower back for a long time!
My physiotherapist told me the same thing! Curving you back backward is wrong which cause a lot pain! Push your pelvis forward like he said and tighten your lower abdominal muscles! Push your shoulders back, push your pelvis forward and tighten your lower abdominal area (internal and external oblique)-more tightening on external oblique!!!

This is completely true, we do this in tai chi, and probably other martial arts. It helps me every day and at my age that’s saying something.

I've done this stretch for just a few days (adding at the end bringing hips toward the heel of front leg that he added in a different video). I already have gotten lower back pain relief🎉
