- Proposal for additional quantum of Pension after completion of 65,70 & 75 years of age - Rejected summarily
• The Parliament Standing Committee in its 110th report recommended during February 2022 to consider the demand of additional pension at the rate of 5%, 10% and 15% to the pensioners attaining the age of 65,70 & 75 years respectively.
• On 8.12.2022, action taken report was tabled in the Rajya Sabha under report No 120
• Information collected about the age group of pensioners to work out the additional quantum of pension in all the departments like railways, postal, defence etc.
• Proposal was sent to DOE about the financial implications. DOE questioned that DOP&PW has not stated as to how the additional financial implications would be met.
• DOE observed that due to Old Pension scheme the liabilities are not only large (2.7 lakhs crores during 2022-2023) but increasing year after year.
• Further increase is not desirable and will put in to significance pressure on the Govt finances.
• It will have a cascading effect on the state of Finance and similar demand will arise from the retired State Govt employees.
• DOE not agreed the proposal and rejected.
• The Parliament Committee takes note of the reply and do not wish to pursue this matter further.
• Thereafter SCOVA meeting was held to discuss about the pensioners issues on 22.2.2024.
• The Department of Pension & PW released the 33rd SCOVA Meeting held on 22.2.2024 on 3.4.2024.
• Enhancement of additional pension to the pensioners after every 5 years ie. 65,70 &75 years of age before 80 years was discussed.
• The Govt rejected the demand and the minutes stated that the proposal has huge pension liabilities due to old pension scheme.
• It will have cascading effects on the Govt finances since the same demand will be raised by the State govt employees.
• Due to financial constraints the proposal has not been agreed to.
• Unless there is a political decision this is not possible at this juncture.

5,1 வருடமே பதவி வகிக்கும் M LA மற்றும் M Pகளுக்கு எப்படி ஓய்வூதியம் வழங்குகிறீர்கள்.30 - 35 வருடம் அரசாங்கத்தில் பணியாற்றி ஓய்வுபெற்ற ஊழியர்களுக்கு மறுப்பது அவர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கு செய்யும் துரோகம். அடுத்த தேர்தல் வரும்போது இந்த கோரிக்கைகளை நிச்சயம் நிறைவேற்றுவோம் என வாக்களிப்பார்கள்.

Sir, Kindly clarify at what age a central government pensioner will get additional pension of 20% whether at the age of entering 80th year or at the age of 81st year. I remember that the Apex Court passed an order to Grant additional pension when entering 80th year instead 81st year.I am not sure.Kindly clarify, Sir.

There are plenty of judgments, The Govt is concerned with Siddarj and Muni..... cases
First let the Govt release 18 months DA/DR with held during Corona period. Govt's claim is the economy is very sound and collection tax is excellent and economy is growing. In the case of 65, 70, 75 it is a new demand. Whereas, that 18 months payment with held is rightful one. Let the Association pursue it.

நான் 60 வது வயதில் 1000 ரூபாய் வாங்கினேன் என்றால் 65 வயதில் பணமதிப்பிழப்பால் அது 60 வயதில் வாங்கிய 1000 ரூபாய்க்கு உண்டான மதிப்பு இருப்பதில்லை. இதை கருத்தில் கொண்டு தான் 5,10,15 சதவீதம் ஏற்றுகிறார்கள். விலைவாசி ராக்கெட் வேகத்தில் போகும் போது வயதானவர்கள் அந்த பழைய பென்சன் தொகையில் எப்படி காலத்தை கழிப்பது. முன்னாள் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு மட்டும் எப்படி ஏற்றி கொடுக்க முடிகிறது.
