I lived in many locations around the world including several Eastern European countries one of which was Belarus. I was in Borisov or baysaw as it is sometimes transliterated. I agree with all you say here, I lived in training camp hotel in a forest miles from the city. I have never tasted the air before when you are outside it was like you can feel and taste the oxygen it was so clean and fresh. The only equivalent place that had air like that was when I lived at altitude in Switzerland. Obviously the vast amount of forest is creating such conditions very healthy.
You must visit Slovenia and Austria, the air is fresh and clean, no rubbish on the streets anywhere in the country. 70% of Slovenia is covered in forests. These countries have the Alps, but also a much better attitude and policies towards the environment and sustainability than Italy for example.
I am from Belarus myself. Completely agree on nature, people, partly on food. Since I've spent part of my life in Western Europe, Singapore, China, I can compare what is like living in these parts of the world. When I am abroad I miss Belarusian forests and lakes, girls are really pretty and smart at the same time, food is lovely but a bit bland for my taste after Singapore food LOL :) I want to spice up everything and miss Laksa soup badly when in Minsk. However, the political and econimical situation in Belarus are complicated. I was born in Minsk, lived almost all my life in Minsk, married a girl from Minsk, we have two kids, but we still don't have a place to live in Minsk. I am a researcher and research jobs in Belarus are limited and with unstable salary. Here in China the govement understands that research is meaningful for the economy in the long run and has ability to put way more money in research. As an American I will say this. 1. My last girl friend was from Belarus, nothing negative to say. 2. I prefer all Slavic women in general. They are more aesthetically pleasing. Mean while in the USA 70% of the women here are overweight or obese, 50% are married are engaged, which leaves me with -20% women to date.
When I started visiting Lithuania and Belarus I realised how ethnically and culturally diverse my own home town has become over the last 20-25 years. Brought back memories of when I was growing up which was unexpected (and the cars, there were still plenty of these 1980s Ford, Volkswagen etc. on the streets of Minsk at that time). It also seems that Belarusians have retained more cultural, religious and folk traditions than in my own country, and national identity is not as controversial a subject. As far as food goes I quite like Belarusian cakes, the big ones you can buy in the bread plant shops and in supermarkets and Soviet classics like Kartoshka.

actually all these are good reasons and I can also confirm that, as Belarus is also my motherland. But, Lukashenko doesn´t have his citizens as a first priority, don´t make a mistake or mislead your audience. Luka(shenko) only bothers to have absolute political power with no opposition whatsoever. No independent TV or newspaper, no criticism of the country leader is allowed. Country with no human rights, courts without any justice, but only with mostly guilty verdicts. Yes, that´s nice to live here with no worries enjoying the bright site of belarus, but, there is no future for the nation with Lukashenko. That´s why many young and initiative professionals migrate from Belarus. Many more want to do this also, but not everyone can. Anyway, good luck and enjoy Belarus :)
Yuri, I live in Ukraine and I visited Belarus, so I can compare. You need to count your blessings. Thanks to Lukashenko, Belarus is not an IMF slave, has preserved its industry and has almost no unemployment.
You are telling a lie. Of the 15 registered political parties in Belarus, at least 6 are pro-Western oppositionists (# 4,5,6,10,12,15 - rec.gov.by/ru/spisok-politicheskih-partiy ). At least 2 opposition newspapers of republican significance are issued (Nasha Niva, Narodnaya Volya). At least 2 opposition radio channels are broadcast (Radio Liberty, Radio Raciya). At least one television channel (Belsat) is broadcast. All these parties, channels, newspapers, are only engaged in direct criticism of the current government and continue to continue their activities in Belarus.

Sorry to say, but as soon as a Belarusian lady hears that you're from abroad, she becomes as nice as you can possibly imagine. That's the way they are raised. Low self-esteem, raised as an accessory in a man's life, raised with the feeling of not being enough without a man, with the idea of being successful if there's a man from abroad next to her, etc. Or another scenario - they're too confident and you're nothing but a step in their life of looking for better and more. You can be a homeless buddy from NY, but as soon as she hears "NEW YORK" in her mind she's already holding a US flag (or a passport) and standing next to the Statue of Liberty, or shopping in Gucci on 5th Avenue, or chilling in LA, etc. She's obsessed with the idea of HER being in US, HER holding a "status" of an American wife, HER being so trendy and chic, HER being so international and speaking English, etc. In both scenarios they will be the worst hypocrites and pleasers in order to ''get'' you or make you like them in order to achieve their personal goals. Sure, it can be flattering, but it's simply fake.
Kelly B Sure, go ahead if you want to share your life with a fake facade which also will raise your children. A fake facade that will smile and say "yes, honey" and at the same time will talk shit about you behind your back. And that most likely will leave you with nothing once she realizes that she was nothing but a pretty and convenient facade for 30 years (plus the years of her childhood). At the end of the day, trust, love, and affection aren't for everybody.
You mean the women are brought up like they should be? That's a shame, i like my women to loathe children, have several cats and pursue careers in which they can pay lots of tax over having meaningful relationships. Pity.
True but still, I was in Hradec Kralove and Trutnov last year, that's the eastern part, and things were way cheaper than in Prague. I could not believe you could get a beer for 1 or 2euros or a good meal for 4-5 euros. Doesn't change a fact that Czech rep. is beautiful, especially the nature. Perhaps Prague is hyped up, but rest of Czech rep. is not, for sure.
as for prices, everything is probably due to the fact that for locals it is too expensive, you need to be a very hardworking local, and for foreigners of course it is cheap
@RO3 that is nonsens and absolutely intolerable. For one, Europe is not destroyed by any means and linking that to the color of one's skin is racist. If you want to have a look at how white folks destroy culture come and visit Amsterdam and have a look at British bachelor parties...

I have to agree that its a very safe place although you are not the only Irishman there I know a brother Liam who is also Irish and lives in MInsk.
You are probably referring to Brother Liam O'Meara, a Christian Brother who runs a charity called the Burren Chernobyl Project. He doesn't live here but comes out to Belarus quite a lot.
Yes you are right he does spend quite a lot of time there though. I got involved with a charity for the victims of Chernobyl and that's why I know him hence the visit to Belarus in 2001 and after visiting once couldn't keep away. Wont be out this year but hopefully next year we could meet up perhaps.
belarus virually has no culture apart from soviet one. Real belorusian culture has been destroyed long time ago, now they don't even speak their own language
Nonsense, how are improved roads, bridges, renovated streets, monuments, etc. dangerous for one's culture? Quite contrary. BTW, the indigenous Belarussian culture has never recovered from the combination of Russification, Sovietization, and WW2.

All true but the air quality. I lived in Poland for 20 years, and, despite the number of forests, I can tell you that the air quality in that part of Europe is just awful, coal-based energy and heating system is a killer, literally, in Poland, the problem is known because of EU regulation about control of air quality, in Belarus, they just don't care. I lived 100 yards from Kampinos natural reserve near Warsaw, despite the fact being next to one of those 'lungs' the air quality was appalling. Greetings from Scotland
Why Belarus? 1. No Covid-Flu restrictions that violate our personal freedom. 2. economy is open. 3. leading at the Crypto world. 4. Very cheap in comparison to the world. 5. not PC. 6. partisans. Long live Belarus
I think every country should keeps it's unique culture. I do not like the idea of a EU system. I like different cultures. That is what is so interesting. Belarus I'd no exception. I love that it keeps it's identity alive. God bless them all. I hope to visit one day.

There is actually a more unsettling reason for why women in eastern europe appear to be more attractive (aside from looks). Due to the rise and spread of liberal democracratic attitudes, many nations in the west have been affected and pressured by groups advocating on issues such as feminism, lgbt etc which has resulted in mass demasculination of the male counterpart of society and has had the opposite effect on females. Which is why you are more likely to find a more androgynous appeal to males & females who are from highly liberalised areas such as london, new york city etc
Countries such as belarus have not been affected as much with these issues and so the women basically come across as more feminine-like and ofcourse as you said the culture thats remained intact has helped too

Sure, it can be flattering, but it's simply fake.
thanks for telling the truth on this matter.
Well, as long as they can maintain the facade for 30 years or so I don't see a problem.
Agree
Pity.
Somebody from Ireland speaking out against multiculturalism. Now there's a surprise 😂😂😂
I think Eastern Europe in general is underappreciated. Good value for money (except Prague), beautiful scenery, loads of history.
Czech Republic is geographically in central Europe. People only refer to the country as Eastern Europe because it's a Slavic country.
@@TheCyborg94 Western Euroepans call ex-Communist Countries as Eastern Europe, sometimes "EE and Russia."
as for prices, everything is probably due to the fact that for locals it is too expensive, you need to be a very hardworking local, and for foreigners of course it is cheap
True, central and Eastern Europe are fantastic. History, culture and lovely people.
You have sold it to me. I’m coming there after lockdown is over!
8:20 speaking of Belarussian girls friendliness and the 2 girls were waving. Was that staged?!
Doubt it! We're really that friendly!
Belarus is safe haven country for Europeans to escape diversity, its hard to get into Belarus but its worth it to move there
@RO3 that is nonsens and absolutely intolerable. For one, Europe is not destroyed by any means and linking that to the color of one's skin is racist. If you want to have a look at how white folks destroy culture come and visit Amsterdam and have a look at British bachelor parties...
RO3 Europe is fine.
@RO3 your perception of destructive powers seems somewhat limited...
@RO3 Did I not mention Amsterdam? Going by your knowledge of European topography and the sillyness of your response I just ASSume you're a US citizen...
Poland Russia Ukraine Hungary are all safe havens too plus few others
Please keep up the content maybe some interactions with the locals ! I am a Canadian with Belarusian decent and would love to see more about this lovely country !
It's coming up)
Wellcom to Belarus...
Belaruss seams like a nice place to just retire and chill out, tbh all coutry regions around the area is like that, in the first part he litelarry described eastern europe
You are totally right in your five reasons why you like living in Belarus, all valid and honest. Great video by the way and look forward to more from you. On a separate note I guess the 63 thumbs down are from Irish Colleens! Just to add I think Ireland is a fantastic country and the Irish ladies are beautiful too - even that Mrs Brown is growing on me!
Ну и молодчун и красотун. Привет из Витебска. !
I went few times to Belarus, I love this country.
I couldn't agree more with you I have been coming to Belarus every year since 2001 and love the place we stay with friends who live about 500 meters from the Komarovski Rinok in Minsk.
The timing on those two girls to wawe at the camera is insane 😄
YES !!!! A President's first priority is his country's citizens. SOLID !
Your culture is more important than any structural EU funds, and Poland Czech Hungary seem to get this, great to see Belarus protect its culture!
belarus virually has no culture apart from soviet one.
Belarus is on our bucket list to travel with our campervan
Thank you. Very interesting.
For me, the culture is #1.
Great stuff. Love your videos
thanks for that video .. i had been visit minsk last year and i was in relationship with belarus woman too )) i agree with most of what you said .. in my opinion belarus will still out off tourism mass cause many of people as like people were in my tourism group think that belarus is boring !! many prefer Azerbaijan or turkey or Greece more or other countries .. i think what best think in that country its pure ..... regards from Baghdad ))
Thank you!
I sincerely liked this video.
The dacha are one of my favortie things in Belarus!
Thank's mate!
Am in Belarus now for 10 days you absolutely right agree on all and your honestly 😂
Why Belarus?
1. No Covid-Flu restrictions that violate our personal freedom.
2. economy is open.
3. leading at the Crypto world.
4. Very cheap in comparison to the world.
5. not PC.
6. partisans.
Long live Belarus
I'm sold wish I was single and 25 again
Love the architecture, as well.
Belarus is really beautiful country dear
Lady's , dacha and banya plus vodka and food makes this place very good !!!
Good video bro. Keep it up 👍
Thanks, will do!
I think every country should keeps it's unique culture. I do not like the idea of a EU system. I like different cultures. That is what is so interesting. Belarus I'd no exception. I love that it keeps it's identity alive. God bless them all. I hope to visit one day.
be part of Europe or to be part of russia. There is no otther choise. Democracy and many cultures in Europe, vs dictatorship and russian culture domimance in russia.
I don't know if you are rusians vatniks o just dump westerners full of moscow propoganda
Seriously good stuff, thanks so much for sharing it all with us.
Agree, I visited Minsk 3 years ago and to the Countryside Park & villages. Saw the partizan parade.

Welcome to India..
Please make a vlog
Best video. Ever.
wow bison in europ, I only thought they were in the America

Actually there was some cross breeding between the American and European bison, to save which species I don’t remember now
Ice ages make for ice bridges.
I'de move to Belaruse for the ladies. 😂
You should be better than local men, there is competition in Belarus :)
Can’t believe that you missed the friendly Belarus girls waving behind you at the end 😂😂
A question for you regarding nature and in particular the lakes...with the fall-out from Chernobyl how are the lakes safe to swim in? Not a dig, but interesting to know. Thanks
The lakes and rivers are super safe.
Spot on culture and the beauties.
Cold weather is the negative side of the country would rather spend it in warm Beach side town.
6:30 you mentioned Ukraine's culture was affected by mass tourism - I think this is only true for the central parts of Kiev and Lviv. I live in Kiev and if you move beyond the very center seeing tourists will be uncommon.
Odessa is quite touristy I must admit.
Украина большая страна...и там есть сильное различие между страной между центром Украины и западной частью Украины Волынь Галичина и тем более Закарпатье...
Why, I like Belarus?
How many hours do you have for this answer? I absolutely love this country.😁
Good video Brother from Ire.
All good point's to look for in a homeland.
Funny points > at the end of #2 culture,we can even hear beautiful Belarus chorus music playing in the background 👍🍻 WINNING!
On # 1 > the Women > the 2 young ladies that smille and wave to the camera 👍😉

Speaking of chicken dinner > I've heard the cuisine is very very wonderful and delicious, not to mention very low cost.
Thank you for your video SR.
I thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂🍻
I like how he is honest about the lists, especially no.1😁 It convienced me that he is talking from his personal experience and not from some written materials on internet👍
Thanks for your truth explanation. I got familiar about that nice country , culture and a girl friend that I have in Belgorod!
6:03 I understand R.I.P. Austin Tx.... 7:48 YES yes and MORE YES

If it was not for bald and bankrupt,I would not have been aware of your channel.Thank you for your insights on a country that the media spends no time on and its positive aspects.
I eagerly look forward to be born in Belarus next time for all the five reasons mentioned with the first reason being close to ny heart.love you belarusss❤️❤️❤️
Sounds like a micro version of Canada, where I live.
I really enjoyed this video. Is English widely spoken in Belarus? I totally agree with you on the globalization crap that´s going on around us!
Not at all.
