St. Paul was my very first Iron Maiden show. We had a great time. The bar across the street from the Venue was serving Trooper beer so it was a long night. We were at the Hyatt and it looks like you guys were too. Nice rooms.
I watched the rest of this and remember when I first saw IM, it was in 1988, seems like a century ago now. I was 21 and here you guys are, what around 25?! It's cool that you traveled so far and followed them like you did! What a great experience you had, never forget it!
We are a bit older than that but thank you for thinking we are 25! 🤣 Yes, still too young to have seen them for even a couple decades after 88', so we are very thankful they are still out there doing their thing so those of us born too late can still enjoy them!

I see me in the background waiting in the FTTB line lol. I had the Clairvoyant shirt on. I felt so bad… the guy with the leather jacket that wrote my FTTB number on my hand, he had to leave the show before Maiden. He got sick/light headed during the Hu, security saw and they made him leave. He looked terrible. It was a great show otherwise, my first FTTB. I said hi to Mike in the bathroom… I was aloof. I just said “I know who you are” then wandered off fast😂😂 I was next to Tommy from a kiss podcast, Three Sides of the Coin, if anyone is a big Kiss fan. Annoying people couldn’t shut up for one bloody second during Bruce’s speech.
I saw Paul Dianno 2 times in concert in Copenhagen 🇩🇰 in 2006 and 2008. Great memories. Wow Maiden gig nr 50 ? I have done only 19 gigs since Roskilde Festival in Denmark 🇩🇰 year 2000. The gig in Copenhagen next year will be mine nr 20.
One of my friends was drinking with Paul Di Anno in a local pub here before he had his illnesses and said he was a great guy and very friendly, I may have crossed paths with him too but I didn't see him that night. Thanks for sharing, I still think you are too close to the front at these shows for the best sound and atmosphere but I guess it's an American thing, got to be looking right up the bands hoo hars 😂
Pooch does a great job with sound, and it's actually quite good up front! There used to be hit and miss nights with it sounding not so good sometimes, but it is pretty consistent now. I like to be up front as I am short and can see everything that way, and in the US crowds can be kind of subdued even a few rows back and I like to be around others who have similar energy as me without feeling like I'm going too crazy haha. Nice that you got to meet Paul 🤘

I'm not able to catch a show this year but, God willing I'm definitely gonna try for "Run for your lives tour" here in the states in '26
You guys are lucky I only get to see them 2 times per tour haha. I started seeing in the late 90’s. And haven’t seen them 50 times yet haha. How are you getting off from work for this long? Are you going to any east coast shows.
We have flexible schedules now, but even when we were more limited with time off we would try to work with all of the weekend shows on a tour to make more happen! I definitely count myself very lucky to see what I have seen.

It’s random… but if you are pretty sociable and know a lot of people, you can convince them to let you be their +1s. Go on the fan club forum, and ask around. This was the only FTTB I’ve ever done(I did actually win it, I didn’t beg😂😂), but I see lots of the same people asking on the forum for people’s +1s.
Hey! Enter the draw and pray. Both of us have FC memberships. My luck this tour hasn't been good but James has won a few and taken me as his spare lol. If not that, a friend will sometimes win and offer spares. If FTTB draws and you don't win, there are threads on the forum to ask for spares, and you can even sometimes find one in person if you see the line and politely ask if anyone has a spare they'd be willing to share with you (and it's a good way to make new FC friends even if there's no dice!) Next year is going to be a tough ask for any show, I think. It's s a mega popular tour!

Hey. I'm the guy that fist-bumped you on the stairs at 10am. I had just arrived from the airport, then they let us in but they kicked me out for having my back pack with me. I left and went to the St. Paul Hotel and I was lucky that they let me check in early. Then I walked back to the venue. I asked one of the door guys how come people are there so early. He said "That's how these guys are. Are you coming in?" I said, "No, I'm going to eat something and I'll come back later". I walked to the "Town Square Complex" and ate Potbelly's then went back to the hotel to use the bathroom and charge my phone. After that I returned to the venue at 12;30 and you can see me there sitting on the floor at 8:39 wearing a white t-shirt (because I was going to buy a concert shirt anyway, and I did) and a brown camo hat. I laid down flat of the floor and even passed out. Six hours later they let the "VIPs" in and then your group. At 6:40 they finally opened the doors for the rest of us. I ran, got my shirt and sprinted downstairs. I had about four rows of people in front of me (not too bad) and was surrounded by most of the guys and gals that waited in line with me. I even saw you with your people at the barrier to the left side, I was in the middle. During the concert, people began to push and I ended up right behind the barrier people. I don't think I've ever been as close as this one! (And two times I had to fight guys trying to push their way to the front!) All and all, it was an awesome show and a great experience. I didn't realize this was such a demolishing workout too, climbing those stairs HURT! After the show, I went back to the hotel, took a shower and passed out immediately. The next morning, I was wearing my concert shirt, I talked to other Maiden fans at the hotel, and as I got in the plane to get back home, some dude sitting in first class yelled at me "Nice shirt!". He had a Maiden sweater, I gave him some devil horns in return. Today MY BODY IS CRUSHED from all the jumping and standing up for hours. Totally worth it, though! Let me tell you, I am a regular Maiden fan. You and your people are not just fans, you're Iron Maiden FREAKS! \m/
