Hello, I have been following you for 90 episodes. As far as I can see, you are doing beekeeping. Even though it is small, there is a type of tree that bees love very much. Especially its flowers are rare. I recommend that you buy and plant a Pavlonia sapling in your land. I wish you success. My regards and love..😊😇
Some people just work together and others struggle with it. Its obvious the two of you work. My parents were the same, trust, understanding and the fact that the significant other matters. I have only recently come across this channel and have subscribed because it is natural, humerus and intelligent. Makes a lovely change and watching is easy.
I have the perfect trick for not divorcing during renovation, and that is Stay Single lol, everyone to their own as they say :) Seriously I really admire you guys and you are my favourite YT channel. You will never split because you are the perfect couple and bounce off each other and communicate perfectly. Love the content and the humour. Looking forward to seeing the fishing footage. Big love to you both. :)
Superhuman effort ... and after all... were only human ... and no-one can be expected to be a superhero for too long. Hope the demands lesson, and you get to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Haha 1:15 Clare’s long ‘Hmmm’ says it all. 😂 Seriously, we can tell you guys are solid, and you’re an inspiration to the rest of us crazy enough to take the risk! 🙌👍😍
Once our properties were habitable. We then focused on getting room by room completed 100% ! Then moved on to the next one - we focused on the children’s bedrooms first. And had a folder with each room’s ‘to do’s’ 😊 That was a great efficient way to get the whole project finished and was so organised and not stressful at all x
I’m only four minutes in, but loads to comment. Firstly, I really enjoy your openness about your personality traits, eg going quiet when stressed…I can really relate to that. On a different level, loving the editing with the monotone freeze frame for the tips titles. Very professional! And finally (for now), I’m distracted from your swanky modern open plan office/kitchen space. Those windows and the concrete work surfaces look really great. 👍 ❤
I have done several projects with my husband. I think patience and a certain amount of looking the other way is very necessary. It all gets done in the end.
I think you know each other well and have grown together over the years. At least that’s what comes across. Doing a build, particularly when it requires skills you don’t already have can expose cracks in a relationship as it can be really stressful. It’s been so nice to watch you both find what you’re best at and what works for you. I think the house when finished (not just enough for the grant but finished-finished) will be really lovely. G’wan ye good things.
Enjoyed chilling in your kitchen - nice place to spend some time, reminded me of a completed reno in a past life which feels so long ago now. Best tip was the first bonus, don't take on too much - or in our parlance, too many sidequests. Definitely a tip we need to do better at. You guys are looking recuperated after your week off.
Both of you sound like Harry and I. We never argue and fuss when we’re in the middle of a renovation. We’ve bought a few homes and each one has needed some work and updating. Both of us have the same role you two have. Glad you took some time off for yourselves. Your place has certainly come a long way! xx
Planning and communication is the key ! I would also say celebrate your successes, and try and have a room that is completed and provides a sanctuary away from the dust dirt and reminders of all the jobs still to be done 😊 always difficult with children though, I remember being a child and my parents were always renovating and looking back it is sad that we never really had weekend outings, or longer holidays as there were always windows to glaze, plastering to be done, framing to be done, new concrete floors to put in, and central heating being installed ! When I did, do renovating now as an adult, I have involved my children, as I did learn many skills in childhood from my parents, and my children have done the same, but we have made the children’s quality time a greater priority than my parents did.
Yes you are right as I had a similar upbringing, however I did also learn a lot about building in the process also. We are aware and now we are making the time for our children which is vital 😊
The grant may have helped push you to work so hard but I think living with kids in a caravan for an extended period of time works too. Great to see you at a point where you can breathe & reflect. Ok back to it ! 😂. It’s so lovely to see your view out those big windows ✌️💚
I went to get lunch, because I knew you all were coming on. And then no cooking 😭😭😭 oh well, loved it anyway! Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖 PS my Taco's were delicious lol
Has it been a year ! I remember your first video you’ve achieved so much and learned a lot, I know it’s been tough but you’ve been a joy to watch, great you’ve had time out, by the way the grant 13 month deadline I think would have been good for me 4 years and just finishing my renovation and so sick of it now so selling up and moving on 😳😁
Painting a wall in our house, raises the chance of divorce every time! If a man can cook and is willing to cook and enjoys cooking, divorce if off the cards though.
We are using a certified electrician, who will also certify the trench for the electrical/plumbing. We already have a working septic and so are just adding to the existing plumbing ourselves 😊
Tip 7.. I kept junk at bay.. what's in North wing of barn is stuff. That's next..😅.my house is over 100 years old so I know it sturdy.. I had new windows put in ...he freaked!!
Tip no.1 very little. Comunication Tip 2....I had budget ..he didnt...😢 I did get everything paid off Tip.3...I had rules and responsibilities. He didn't Tip4..llol..what's that ?? Tip 5...I tried they wouldn't talk to a lady ..so I had to get angry til he finally did...for the roof..😮 Tip..6. Short breaks .are good.. I had to rehome my horses so no more rides😅
Tip..8 Ha..haaaaaa!! He had none!!! Tip.9... how about a good friend that came over..with a bottle!!! My get away was camping with my horses. 10..... end goal..retire and be able to..enjoy...then he passed.. US is in big trouble..buying is expensive renting stupid what to do.he did have a job .and was tired ..but one job every nite would've worked if the beer stayed at the bar
You are both HARD workers and respect each other’s talents. You don’t play the blame game.
Thanks Donna, haha plenty of blame game goes on behind the camera 🤣

What shines to me is that you are the best of friends. Encouraging each others strengths. Love you guys.
Well after so long you kinda have to be the best of friends😜 but you so right 😊

Aww lovely to read your kind words. We have our moments of course, but yes we do work well together!

So true! Thank you so much for your lovely message 😊
This title made me giggle! Can totally see how a renovation can cause divorce. 😂 Thanks for the vlog. ❤
It's important to laugh during this stressful time🤣

Well said 😊

Jill you inspire us to have the laughs! And this was aimed to entertain, which hopefully it did 🤣

We have a lot to complete but we are focusing on the big work necessary for the grant, and then the small cosmetic/intricate work afterwards 😊
You two make a brilliant team together! 😊❤❤
Thankyou 😍

Yay, thank you! Gotta try something different at times, as this whole process could be very boring 🤣

This is true, thank you for your comment 😊

Thanks for your continued support Maeve 😊

Side quests can be an evil robber of your time alright. Oh gosh much needed boat and water time had over the last few days, glad we look fresher😊
I'm glad to hear you both got some much needed time away. I hope it was enough for your body to reset. To go into low gear to push through the rest!!!
I hope so too!😊

Thanks Trish, yes loving with grown kids in a caravan is enough to push anyone to their limits 😜

Wednesdays for cooking Jacki, but lovely to hear that you were waiting for us and that your tacos went well 😉
I hope that you caught and ate lots of lovely fish

Debbie you are so right. I think without the grant push we would easily have dragged the whole Reno out 😊

This comment made us both laugh, thank you so much, I love it 😁
👏👏👏👏👏
😊😊
Did you not need a certified electrician, drain layer and plumber to need code with the government grant ?
We are using a certified electrician, who will also certify the trench for the electrical/plumbing. We already have a working septic and so are just adding to the existing plumbing ourselves 😊
😂😂😂😂😂
