Diamond Lake, a gem in the high Cascade Mountains of southern Oregon (AI2)

Diamond Lake is a natural body of water in the southern Cascade Mountains of Oregon. It's located nestled between Mt. Thielson to the east and Mt. Bailey to the west. Just south of the lake lies Crater Lake National Park. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the western hemisphere, and was formed by ions of snow melt filling the volcanic caldera of the collapsed Mt. Mazama, after it erupted.

Good memories of summers on the lake and winter snowmobiling up to the rim of Crater Lake. Such a remarkably beautiful area. ❤
