Great Video! I'm from Indiana, and will probably never have the opportunity to visit this place. When you record the trails and show the beautiful scenery, I feel like I've been there. Thank you for the video. Looking forward to your next adventure!

Great video and work to produce it. I had no idea there was a fabulous bike trail around the lake. We camped on the lake in August 2015 when there was a fire across the lake. We were asked to voluntarily not camp there or be on a 24-hour notice to leave if the fire jumped the lake. We stayed and learned there are some nasty mosquitos (cross bread with black widow spiders) there.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I didn't have a problem with mosquitos. This winter there was a lot of snow in the Cascades and I was expecting that the moisture from the snow would have a long term effect to increase mosquitos. But it wasn't a problem. It probably varies with different locations around the lake.

Thank you for these well put together videos. They are the best videos I have come across on UA-cam for Northwest camping destinations.

Thanks for this great staycation on UA-cam. I've been a resident of Oregon for nearly 50 years, but have never been to Diamond Lake.

Thanks for the nice feedback. With so many great places in Oregon, it is difficult to see them all.

Next time check out Hosmer lake. Not as big but the most perfect picture at sunset and incredible fly fishing it’s my favorite lesser known gem

Very nice video. Been there a time or two, but I still enjoyed the video very much. Makes me want to go back and take my time this time.

Loved the video! Endless trails. My son built a cabin in Diamond Peaks, and you can get on a four-wheeler and go to Diamond Lake by trails from his backyard.

I live seven hours away from this beautiful lake. After visiting Lake of the Woods last year, I've decided to come here this year.

Great video! Of course, I’m in it so I may be biased. But I’m definitely thinking of going back there. One note to viewers: UA-cam automatically put the resolution at 360. It looks much better in 1080 HD!

Thanks for the nice comment. I think that the campgrounds close for the winter. But the resort is open and people come to the area for skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

I have only been to Diamond Lake once, so I don't know about conditions at different times. I suspect that time of year and the specific campground where you stay makes a different in mosquitos. When I visited in August 2023, I wasn't bothered by mosquitos. Of course, for most places, the spring is usually much worse.
