I just absolutely love the Core Design Tomb Raider games. They’re full of heart and soul unlike the Crystal games
A game about solving puzzles to find ancient mysteries first spawned TRosetta Stone (a reverse engineering project) that helped find interesting things about the engine, and now there are ingame clues for real world files. That's so meta.
A true Tomb Raider puzzle and now mystery 🤔.

I wonder why they removed this... I think it was a pretty cool unusual kind of easter egg/mystery. Is the text still under the desk since the update?
I didn't have chance to check before putting the video out so I didn't include it - but the #13NOT!HER code is not under the desk in the updated version
@@TheGameBreakersUK The password seems like a jab at Crystal Dynamics' survivor reboot trilogy, suggesting something like "Tomb Raider 2013 Lara is not the real Lara".
@@maskeddog2077 This is exactly what I thought they meant by it. The fact that it was also the password to a folder of HD remastered renders of classic Lara also seems like it's doubling down on that message. I bet it was CD who made them remove it lol

When people theorized about what the message could be, nothing clicked with me.🤷♀ Some people even wondered if it was the #13 clue. But there would be more clues discovered by now. THIS makes way more sense! Thanks for sharing.

I'll be honest I actually saw the one Cut 10 file in launch week but didn't think to click on it. I saw all the other Cuts with map files so I was thinking level maps. And of course All Hallows wasn't available in that version if the game so I thought cut 10 was the missing All Hallows.
I was also thinking when I first saw what we now know as the password was the 13th clue and there were others in the game to find

But I don't get why they used !13NOTHER as password, because it makes it sounds like they dissing the survivor reboot trilogy (rightfully so)

Don't spin the narrative Im just pointing out the truth tho, Crystal Dynamic never got close to the level of quality as the og trilogy (made in the 90s), and this comes from someone who started playing TR with Crystal Dynamic's Legend and Survivor timelines first, after playing the remasters the only fun and decent/good games from them (for me) are Underworld, Rise and SOTTR, so I mean

They are uploaded to the tomb raider chronicles site, TR Forums and are all over social media
maybe a tomb raider gallery mode was planned then they scrapped it
Or maybe this was intentional.
I remember reading something from XProger (A Developer) that said that half of a secret is found but not fully solved. I believe this was it as we had the code pretty early just had no idea what it was for until this came out

You need the original launch version of the game to access these files directly.
The PNG have been posted on social media, and on Tomb Raider Forums and TR related websites to download.

Awful Ai textures… so bad quality and made so lazy and lame. Original textures uses real photos of signs and real ornament. Remaster is only parody… ai not so good
A bit late, but friendly reminder that it actually ISNT AI! They look weird because they are actually 3D Renders but flattened so they become a 2D texture! Atleast it isnt AI
