Hi
Hi weird boi
How did you film them during Corona? Genuinely curious.
@@EFFeCTED18 they work in an essential shop
$800,000 per stamp??? You might wanna lay off the reefer. Lol
It was later sold in auction for 323000 . The guy got robbed
@@bart4543 where did you hear that?
I thought he said 800 to 1000 🤔
@@bart4543 source?
@@choosenaddict He did. They mis-heard what he said.
I had to replay it a few times to make sure I heard it right. He actually DID want 800k per stamp. 😂😂
Modesty at work.
PER STAMP, that dude wanted to walk out of the pawn shop a multi millionaire 😆
Nah g he wanted 800 to 1000
Same. At least he came down *A LOT*
It was killing me watching them touch the stamps with their fingers.
0:24. 800,000 per stamp? Lmfa what
I think he said 800-1000
@@josefstalin8002 Either that, or he was joking and they used the joke footage instead of the serious footage.
He’s talking JPY.
If he believed he had like over $10million worth of stamps in his possession he would have sold them instantly, he wouldn’t have waited until his retirement 😂. Moreover he’d also know a pawn shop doesn’t carry that kind of cash.
I had to re watch because I thought I miss heard what he said. 800,000 thousand per stamp 😂
I love seeing vids with the old man, he’s such a legend
Lol he pumped up Eisenhower’s civil rights agenda
I was amazed when I saw the expert folding the booklet open with force and thus bending the cover and the rest of the booklet. Stamps/stamp booklets is to handled with care!!
I’ve worked for a printing company my whole life. Next time we screw up a job I’m just going to say we’re making collectibles.
"Let me call a guy who knows a lot about stamps"
*Calls in the local Postal Worker off of the street*
@Pawn Stars stop doing this please.
@@PlushbearR who tf out of all ppl would u want to impersonate pawn stars?
@Pawn Stars no
Im a mail carrier for the post office and I am offended 😂

After watching pawn stars
Me: something in this house must be a treasure
I know right? lol
*MAJOR Value for MISPRINTED Stamps*
appraised at 500-700$ lmao
$2 worth of stamps, with a unusable page, appraising for $500 - $700 isn't considered a major value?
That's called "clickbait"
@@delvesdg you got a point there. Value key word
@@gavinnosler6028 Making money off the UA-cam clicks too , genius
He was also a Major in the Army for 16 years.
Pawner: “I’m getting close to retirement“
Old Man; 🤨
I'm surprised Rick offered that much for them.
Rick: It’s says $2.00 on the cover. Tell you what, I’ll give you 25 cents for it. I have to get it framed.
Rick: Look how crooked these lines are. Half of these are misprinted and unusable.
Miss the old man , hope this show goes on for much longer .
What happened to him??
@@Waves118 he Died
The USPS doesn’t print stamps. It’s sourced out to different printing company. I worked at one of those companies and the quality assurance and security is amazing. A misprint or miscut stamp is extremely unusual, at least from the plant I worked at. They were so paranoid of it that we had to be checked, even to the bottom of our shoes, and our containers searched. To my knowledge not one misprint ever got out.
He wanted 800 000 per stamp 😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
He said 800-1000 per stamp
He meant from 800 to 1000
It was $800,000. He was even talking about retirement at the end.
He said 800 to a 1000
He was clearly joking about the 800k
"I have a guy who studied the architecture and everything about the stamp his whole life"
Lol people really do collect stamps though.
"What do you wanna be when you grow up?" "A USPS STAMP EXPERT!"
That offer was an insult to the misprinted, miscut stamp community.
I'm sure all 14 of them are livid with anger at this outrageous evaluation.
What about the imperforate stamp community???
That is true...
@@hamzawaseembajwa6870 - There are at least 17 of us. (We have a thing on Discord)
@@WavyFBaby - Those guys... the imperforate stamp community is basically my nemesis.
Plot twist: "Rick actually sold them for $800K per stamp"
Rip old man 🐐
I wouldve thought a lot more. Some stamps are worth a nice house.
I have a feeling he got screwed.
No he made good money. Here's the real story, not this "expert's" fantasy.
This is what is called a fold-over error. When the booklet was assembled, a sheet somehow got mishandled before it was cut into individual booklet panes. From the looks, some of the sheet was folded over by some mishandling. When the sheet was then cut into booklet panes, the folded-over part of the sheet remained attached to the "regular" booklet pane.
This actually happened quite a lot with this issue, it had production problems. Many of those freaks passed quality control and ended up in the stamp trade one way or the other.
What we got here is a regular booklet pane and attached to it, some odd piece of a booklet pane. This odd piece, however, does NOT contain any imporforated or imperforated-between stamps. An inperforated stamp must show the entire stamp design. What this guy has is a miscut piece of a booklet pane, likely still attached to the top pane in the booklet. Notice that the odd piece is inserted backwards in the booklet, as it comes from a folded-over sheet piece.
At a stamp auction, this item would sell in the $75-$150 range (depending on how much enthusiasm the auctioneer is showing), as it is an oddity, but nothing spectacular. Actual fold-over errors with a pair of true imperforated-between stamps could bring $500 to $750.
The pawn shop owner will lose money on this, unless he finds a dupe (like this "expert" he called in9.
totally should have put them on e-bay.
The Stamp Guy is pretty good... seems knowledgeable and fair...
for $400, I'd just keep them.
Rick bought them for himself I bet.
Rick is gonna sell them for at least $800. The stamp appraiser guy didn't seem all that excited, but I bet he will come back and buy them.
Rick: “I don’t know what this values for but I got a buddy who knows”
Rick has buddies right around the corner who are experts in whatever item rolls in the door.
That old man everytime come in between
What the old man said: Eisenhower
What the captions said: oxen hair
What my brain said: 🤪🤪🤪
The old man was definitely a fellow military veteran short to the point and very efficient nothing more nothing less than what needs to be said or done because that's all u needed
I love how they have an expert for literary everything.
Ya fr lmao
They live behind the dumpster on the block.
Dude: I'm hoping to get $800,000 per stamp so I can retire.
Rick: I'll give you $425 for all of them.
Dude: Okay I'll take it.
Dude said he wanted $800,000 a stamp 🤣💀
I think he meant "I'm hoping to get $800-$1,000 per stamp".
@@SuperGamingeek lol no. Go back and listen closely. He said “eight hundred thousand per stamp”
My man thinks like the typical get rich from investments. I think his hopes were a little to high. Could of done some research.
@@showpremedior7409 lol no. It makes much more sense when you assume $1,000 per stamp rather than $800,000 per stamp. People have some wild valuations in their head for things, but near a million dollars for any stamp is outlandish.
It makes much more common sense to think your stamps may be worth $800 to $1000 each. It's high, but at least it's within the realm of possibility.
It's equally likely he said $800-$1000 per stamp if you just "go back and listen closely".
@@SuperGamingeekHe definitely said $800,000 per stamp. But he didn't say that was what he thought was reasonable, or what he was going to ask for. Sounded like it was a joke because he had no idea what it was worth.
Plot twist, he put $425 into bitcoin when this episode aired and now can afford to retire.
Seller: "I have this antique crack pipe I found in my basement while moving in. I think it might be worth something."
Rick: "It looks like an interesting item, but I just don't know what it's worth. Lemme bring in a buddy of mine who is an expert on this sort of stuff"

That's almost Rick's net worth! 🤣

Yes please scam me
Rick's default answer is always 50 bucks
This guy was on something to ask for that much. Good lord lol.
$800 per stamp is crazy enough, but $800,000??
The expert from Americana said for mis cut its 50k to 100k
Then for imperferate *pair* it is 500k to 700k
Overall the Paen shop made a good investment vos they have to make further almost 100k money.
All good here!!
Mr. Brown used those stamps back in the early 70's famously.
When he showed him the stamps, somehow I knew. He will say “ I know a guy!
I live in sherman texas right nexted to denison texas were Eisenhower was born. My ex lived right down the street from the house he was born in which you can still visit.
I have a guy name chumlee that licks rare stamps and put them on his dashboard
I remember finding a small box with a bunch of old stamps from an old house owned my a soldier.. but threw em away 🤦
If Rick had people working for free. The Nevada department of labor would be investigating him.
@Pawn Stars Thanks for the tip.
I remember when a stamp was 3 cents .
You can tell Rick was just trying to show his Father who was boss on the 425 offer lol

When I was a kid and cleaning up grandma's possession's I found a small box full of stamps and I outright threw them all away. Never thought it could have some value. But atleast I kept her old 50yr old coins hidden
Millennial. Smfh
Should have asked Rebeca to come in. These stamps were in a small book after all
Calm down Simp
It only has 2 pages. Not a leaf though because they are on 1 side not both sides.
Good job Fred
Ricks laugh sounds like my neighbors car that starts up on a cold morning.
$425 for the misperfed and miscur booklet pane was a fair offer. The seller might have made more on Ebay but it would have taken longer to sell and Ebay would have taken a big cut. Most people who compare prices on Ebay fail to cosider Ebay's (and Paypal's) fees.
800,000 per stamp?? Haha this dude was big time trippin lol 😂
Dude lucky they even offered that
just because there aren't popular demands for an item doesn't mean they won't sell for a good price...you could have two wealthy guys who want an item way outbid a million not so wealthy people bidding on it
Mans really said I'm looking to get 800,000 per stamp.
800000 what is he smoking 😂
I love when people think their crap is worth $$$$$$$, and an expert comes in a tells them their crap is only worth $.
800,000 dollars per stamp???? in that case lemme sell these milk duds next to me for 300,000
The best i can do is 20 $ and im taking a risk
This guy is nuts
I have stamps during hitler and Stalin era. I even have some gold ones and many very old foreign stamps too.
stamps are a hard item to sell, you will pretty much never get anything close to what they are worth trying to sell them.
I would have kept them
