This movie did try to have the same vibe the first one did, and it has succeeded with audiences. Mainly for 2 reasons: 1. Nostalgia 2. The power of Glen Powell.
As a straight man I can safely say....Glen Powell had me swooning the whole time and still does to this day. This movie alone made me love country music which I despised before 😂 Also they used a lot of real life footage from actual storm chasers for the tornadoes in this film in addition to CGI
You know, I actually found it rather refreshing that there wasn't a "kiss" at the end. It was kind of interesting to focus more on the story than the romance for a change. 🤷
This was my most anticipated film of the summer. Don’t get me wrong I was excited for DP&W but I was so excited for Twisters. I love this film so much and the cast is great as well. Glen Powell is as charming as ever and Daisy Edgar Jones is really establishing herself as an actor
This a great movie. I've seen this in theaters 3 times and it's even better than the first one. Bill Paxton would be so proud of his son for his work in this.
RE: Your opening comments. Tornadoes are not like hurricanes. They grow as they go, and it happens in minutes, so it's tough to predict what will eventually be an EF 5. Hurricanes grow much slower and only over water, giving you time to prepare. RE: Who died: The main surprise was that the girl who died in the opening sequence was a pretty famous actress (Kiernan Shipka) who had been the star of Sabrina on Netflix for years (Main character) and so many other things. The other actors were not as famous-so expendable. Shipka's immediate death was a call back to Steven Segal Executive Decision's classic opening. Bill Paxton's son was the guy in the hotel-- so he paid tribute to his father with his appearance. Dorothy was the only reference to the 1st movie (and their successors, Toto and Tinman). If you haven't seen Wizard of Oz- those references are lost. Oh, and Steven Spielberg decided to cut the kiss at the end to help build continuity for a sequel. And, finally, David Corenswet, who played Scott, is the new Superman, and there's a video of the whole cast celebrating when he found out during filming.
I've looked at some of the reactions to this movie now and none of the people have, apparently, noticed that the final tornado in this movie goes through a town called El Reno. Is the El Reno tornado from 2013 more unknown than I thought? Even I, as a German, have heard of the tornado in which Tim Samaras and his crew died. And when I saw the water tower with El Reno written on it in the movie theater, I almost freaked out, in a positive not negative way. And all the American reactors don't even see it?
An enjoyable summer popcorn feature that succeeds where it counts the most. All the leads are great, the FX on the tornadoes were impressive, side characters were enjoyable and the last act is pretty strong. It won't win any awards, but it provides a good time that should be seen on the biggest screen with the best surround sound system possible.
Amazing reactions guys. Fun fact: the guy at the rodeo motel complaining about his room service and doesn't believe in tornado warnings is James Paxton, Bill Paxtons son.
Hi Tim and your Clariss . So happy to watch your reaction to twisters 🌪🌪🌪 I also watch your reaction With her on her channel too.🥰 You gotta listen to Luke combs song for this movie ain't no love in Oklahoma 🎶❤
David Corenswet’s character certainly had quite the Lex Luthor-style personality in this movie…which makes it quite hilariously ironic that David Corenswet is currently playing SUPERMAN in next year’s brand new Superman movie ^_^
I saw this movie and the old one in the drive in movies and I was disappointed in the new one it's horrible but at least I can say I've see the old one in the drive in movies 😊
Fun fact their are storm chasing groups in real life that have built vehicles capable of withstanding being inside tornados they use to get data im real life search the tiv or dominator 3 their really near custom vehicles
I'm late by the way but I watched it also funny fact I got to see in the GXT theaters and I watch it in a GXT room basically just a higher up theater quality room
Honestly, I wanted to like this film, but it was such a letdown for me. I love the cinematography, VFX, Glen Powell's rangler crew, the opening sequence, and the soundtrack. But Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar Jones just don't have any kind of romantic chemistry together. Also, Kate is an unlikable character to me. The movie looks great, but the story isn't interesting. The main character is a dick and the love story isn't as engaging as the original Twister.

Kiss was cut by Spielberg
I really loved this one! Daisy Edgar Jones rocked!
Fun fact: bill Paxtons son plays the guy in the motel office

Same. I didn’t know which movie I wanted to see more
I don't think Twisters is any worse than the first film. I would be very happy to see a sequel.😊😊
I enjoyed watching Twisters, this was my first time seeing Daisy Edgar-Jones in a movie and she was really good in this.
Same here.
This a great movie. I've seen this in theaters 3 times and it's even better than the first one. Bill Paxton would be so proud of his son for his work in this.
39:12 that one big deadly Monster

@@alextan1478 Why are we all saying the same thing?
If you feel it🤠 CHASE IT!🌪️
Got the chance to experience this in 4D.
3D with moving seats? Couldn't get me in there fast enough. 😁
I watched it in a movie theater, got the same feeling as going to a 4D movie theater.
The movie theater remind me about the drive in theater from the twister 1996
And not a single Ram truck was lost lol.
Don't get me started on the trucks I work at a theater so we had to see that stupid RAM truck advert with Daisy and Glen like a million times.
Ngl i kinda wished Helen Hunt was the mom, but i still didnt mind it not being her either
Yeah, I'm surprised, her mom looks so native american. 😅
@@tofanpurnomowaisaka503 Maura Tierney is not Native American. 😂

Bill Paxton would be proud
It took them long enough to make a very beautiful sequel, didn’t it?
There's a firenado in Into the Storm from a decade ago, Peter Pan died in it. It also starred Thorin Oakenshield & Freddie Benson.
Amazing reactions guys. Fun fact: the guy at the rodeo motel complaining about his room service and doesn't believe in tornado warnings is James Paxton, Bill Paxtons son.

Excellent
the next step is putting Sharks in the Nado.
Excellent new movie.
HOT TAKE: I actually liked this movie better than the first one
It was called Twisters because the first one was called Twister.
Did you guys notice in the 1st scene that they tried to use Dorothy from the 1st movie?
it was so good
Great 0:01
I love this movie Daisy Edgar Jones is awesome
Awesome reaction of my favorite movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊
STOP SAYING THAT
Another movie requel that was waited for years that actually works, which it did better in the box office.
