Totally clean , lush green , cycles so air must be of super quality. I just love it ! Super Netherlands! My good wishes from India. Hope to visit these places some day .
Seems like just about everyone rides a bike in Utrecht. 😊 The one thing I found bizarre when I was there last spring, was that for as healthy as people are... I've never seen so many smokers (cigarettes) in my life! I'll bet @VeeTravels noticed that too. As far as the other smoking (toking) it didn't take me long to figure out that Coffee Shop doesn't mean a place to buy coffee... LOL. Awesome rail system there and super easy to get around the country!
@Eric Cartman not if you compare it with Mumbai. I have a lot of Indian colleagues. When I close my nose because of an old dieselcar passing they applaud for the clean cars and air. 😅

Netherlands isn't perfect by a long shot. We're widely and increasingly regarded as the most selfish country in Europe and if you ask me it's a correct assessment. And the dutch openness is a myth, there's very much an incrowd outcrowd culture.. We are, when push comes to shove, calvinistic at heart. I still love my beautiful country though.

Nice. The top of the watertower Heuveloord is now a restaurant with a beautiful view over the city. I grew up there at Tolsteeg, but left Utrecht 25 years ago.

I stayed in Utrecht for a week in October of 1981 visiting a friend. It was really a beautiful city and experience but it must have grown and changed a lot! I didn't recognize much in the video. (My friend lived on Magdalenastraat). Of course I'm old now- there's probably a lot I don't remember!!
Yeah, it has changed significantly (to put it mildly). The 1980s had been the decade when Utrecht was at its peak/pinnacle as a car-centric city; since then, but, especially, in the last decade, much of the central (and historic) district (as well as other parts of the city) have been closed down to (driving) private cars, and repurposed (as means of transportation) only for cycling, public transportation, and, of course, pedestrians (it looks/is so much cleaner, and more sustainable).
@@jaimemoreno7077 as a matter of (personal) preference, and generally speaking, I, also, believe that countries like Denmark, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, or United States are beautiful (countries), indeed; however, when it comes to specifics (and, again, as a matter of personal preference), the only places (cities), in these countries, that I find beautiful enough (i.e. great/awesome) to live in, are: Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Dublin, Utrecht, Geneva, Basel, New York, and Los Angeles. Now, I know that lots of Danes, Dutch, Irish, Swiss, and Americans would be harsh in their condemnations (towards me/my choices), and lament that those cities have "nothing to do with what their countries are all about" (at least, have nothing to do with their nationalist interpretations of what their countries are all about), but, besides the fact that those cities are famed, Worldwide, as being some of the best cities (in the World) in which to live, they, also, have a prestigious/stellar reputation for being great cities of culture (in fact, they are the capitals of culture of their respective country). Hope this didn't come across as boring/tedious, but I felt compelled (by your reply) to relate some of my (own/personal) thoughts on the topic of "beautiful countries".
We've started doing video walks too, mainly in the UK and it's lovely to find someone doing a similar thing. I've subscribed and very much look forward to seeing more.

Great stable shots of great locations but I think you have to give people a reason to subscribe and provide additional value. Commentary maybe good if it’s information they don’t know already if they wanna travel there or it may just be easier to do a walking video and just let people relax to the ambient noise and make it more of a street walk. This video is compelling! I loved the sweep shots, did you do those with the AX53 free handed? I would have had to use a tripod to get that smooth as I have a bit of a shake in my hands. I like how you do a sweep shot, then a still shot, then a shot of someone bicycling and repeat it. Good editing. A couple of your zooms were a little rough (I struggle with this as well) but it sure was a great video. Checking out some more of yours now.

There are 2 things that I would say to critique this video. 1: Use smoother transitions, and 2: Something was going on with the music, it kept glitching, and starting over itself for some reason. Other than that, it was fantastic!
I live in Utrecht near the Domtower. Seeing this video makes me proud to be dutch and live here. It's sad there's no shot of the Dom tower only Domplein. The Dom tower is absolute the main thing to see in Utrecht. Disappointing. Also second icon: Nijntje (Miffy) and the Nijntje museum. Pitty!

@@VeeTravels omg it was wonderful, we went to the st. martins cathedral and the DOM tower and walked around alot just to site see. had an amazing breakfast at Annas too and a nice lunch on the canal.

Wow the city is so clean and modern but also a bit of traditional.
The Netherlands will always have its traditional house building and cycling infrastructure, that's part of the Dutch Culture.
It’s essentially a very old city with a big medieval centre (imo the most beautiful in the Netherlands)

As a Dutch guy I don't agree. The Netherlands is not perfect. It's kinda boring. Many other countries are way better.

I was there only for a day back in late April. Fell in love with it instantly. I like Rotterdam better, but damn this city impressed me! ♥
