I didn't see any of this. I only saw exactly how to fold and tuck a sandwhich using waxpaper expertly done. And if you need to ask Google if you can use a combustible, thin, wax coated paper .... essentially a candle wick ... on any hot surface you should step away from the kitchen and let us burly men handle the cooking.
I HONESTLY appreciate this! I prefer wax paper to plastic baddies that leave a funky taste SOMETIMES on the bread. But even better? When you unwrap the wax paper? It becomes the placemat that protects what you’re eating from the tabletop. Especially if you’re eating in a public/shared lunchroom at work or school. Thanks for this very useful tip! 🙂

Good to know the wrap technique. I've been using wax paper then placing in a sandwich bag for years but just give it a basic wrap like a cold cuts in a deli The wax paper helps to reuse baggies for a week at a time without a mess or even a food odor
This was oddly satisfying. It’s a little more wax paper than I would like to use only because I try to save as much as possible but I prefer this far more than plastic baggies. I actually have the Ziploc brand wax paper bags that are for sandwiches and snacks.
Made. A sandwich last night, wrapped like this, put in fridge until lunch today. Bottom slice of bread was perfect but top slice was dried out and stale. Not wrapping it well enough?
Pretty neat they would done that when my dad was little in the 1940s that the old way to wrap sandwich, I think wax paper would make the sandwich last long keeps it fresh cause of the wax in the paper.
I feel like ziplock bags robbed me of this lost art....and I had to show my roommate how to use the pleated sandwich baggies. So the next conundrum is how do you wrap the pickle for lunch without a zippered bag or tin foil?

Your perception of this technique is that it's useless. Pretty much anyone who reads your comment will immediately see your: A) lack of life experience; B) inability to think beyond your own life experience; and / or C) incredible rudeness. Some of us don't want to use plastic bags, and a reusable container isn't always feasible (such as when you: are packing a lunch for air travel, have been instructed to send a disposable sack lunch with your child on their field trip, etc.).
I'm not knocking the guide - this is exactly the information I came for, and for that I thank you. BUT THIS HOUSE MUSIC IS GOING SO HARD

Give up and stuff it in a baggie. I tried this 15-20 times. Wax paper too slick. The seam in the middle comes loose when you work the ends.
