First off... I'd like to thank Prymaxe for doing all these tutorials on so many pedals. It's very time consuming for them and we get to enjoy all their hard work for FREE!! It has saved me countless hours and days not having to drive to the guitar store where I have to "try" to hear what a pedal can do in a really noisy environment. We can enjoy this INSTANTLY for 10 minutes and get a really good idea of what the pedal is all about. So grateful for this convenience.
I'm a Mooer fan and think they make really great stuff for the price point. Some pedals better than others. That being said, I've never heard the "Solo" before and my jaw is on the floor!!! Honestly can't believe so much raw sound is coming out of such a small box. I'm a pedal snob and NOTHING sounds like this for $88. Not even close. One thing I really enjoyed is the "EVH sound" this thing puts out. You could easily play Van Halen's early stuff and people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Very impressive!

For those who don't know this pedal is a Suhr Riot clone. And a darned good one!
Yeah, tha'ts what the told me once, small but poweful.
Color scheme looks like a Shiba Drive, but the font is the Riot one.

Nice playing as usual!! This has great classic Marshall-like overdrive/distorted sounds. I suppose if you really want a Marshall sound you should just buy a Marshall, but this little box gets you in the ball park for less than $60. I have a Wampler Super Plextortion, which sounds a little more amp-like than the Mooer (new ones go for around $190 or $200, but I bought mine used for around $140). Still, I definitely dig the Mooer Solo, and it has a little more gain than the Wampler.

The sound is really good. Nothing quite equals the sound of mic'ing up a great amp. You always hear those little digital artifacts in the guitar sound with these boxes and with computer generated effects. This one sounds better than most.

This is another good pedal. My favorite is the ultra drive but this one is growing on me more and more.
Just got it today and I loved it. Very clear sounding with chords! I'm using the drive at 3 o'clock and put a MXR Distortion+ in front of it for when I need extra Sustain and bottom. Anyone else noticed a blue light behind the level knob when the switch is o "tight" and a red light behind the tone knob when it's on "classic"? That surprised me...

I've played on a Mooer pedal a couple of days ago, and my god! They are sooo small, but they do sound great. Might add the Reverb to my board!

This is my favorite pedal,really sounds good in solo instrumental.perfect together with boss feedbacker booster and reecho delay mooer with tc electronics chorus pedal.

It's a Riot clone. You can get the same pedal probably cheaper in the Donner Morpher pedal
Is this a demo of soloing or for the Mooer solo?...you can sell any pedal if you can play so well..jus kidding, great demo video and pedal sounds great..what percussion is being used at 2:55?
Sounds decent enough but for me, any lack for attention to detail can be aggravating. It would not have been terribly difficult to put white markings on those microscopic volume/tone knobs. After all, they put it on the largest knob. Sure would help considering the diminutive size of them. Of course the buyer can do that himself but still....little details like that matter to some of us. Other than that, certainly appears to perform as advertised.
Maxx61 Note that Mooer starting putting the white markers on the knobs sometime last summer. This is just an older review.
LincolnFStern And I just got one and dammit, they are still not putting white markers on this pedal!! dammital. All my other Mooers do have the white markers. Urg, off to buy some white out.
+Maxx61 One of those pens which have white correction fluid (Tipp-Ex; White Out; you know the stuff) work brilliantly -- 10 second fix :-)

Tune that guitar!!!!!!! lesson one: tune your guitar before you play or record or whatever. Distortion and everything else won't sound good! The harmonics start to beat!!! It shouldn't be so hard!!!
