- One of my favorite characters of Attack on Titan, Zeke Yeager. Short write up and analysis of his character.
Episode today was an absolute BANGER. Ymir backstory had wonderful color choices, voice actors were especially great.
Zeke didn’t hate subjects of Ymir he just wanted to stop the hate cycle without genocide
Zeke is underrated af
You can’t help but love Zeke, so phenomenally written, he’s simultaneously a GREAT antagonist while carrying MC energy.

Great video. Zeke was a flawed individual but was infinitely more “heroic” than many other characters. Can you imagine how differently we’d see things if the series started in Marley instead of in Paradis with Eren?
Extremely underrated channel.
One of the very few things i didn t like about season 4.I felt like Hashirama made such a big build up for him from the first moment he appeared as the beast titan, the wonder child with strange unique powers, the brother of Eren, the mysterious guy who nobody knows what he actually plans to do, then the twist with him actually being on Paradis side wanting to save the Eldian race just to end up being only a puppet for Eren rumbling power (and a tool to nerf Levi).I loved his "final arc" with Grisha telling him he regrets everything etc and overall it was really good but i feel like he could have been used more.
I think being a tool doesn't mean anything Itashi was a tool too and he is still considered the best character in his show or at least on of the best.
Zeke is a compelling and an incredibly well written charactere he is the most interesting one in my opinion with a twisted set of morals and an incredibly unbiased worldview willing to make the hard yet right decisions also got a goated backstory.
I don’t see how you have so few subscribers and views considering how much of an understanding you have of each of these topics. you and sages rain and invaderzz are my faves right now

What hurts me the most is Zeke genuinely loved Eren even tho he only found out about him when he was much older in life.. He wanted to protect and be with his brother even after he found out Eren betrayed him in paths.. I love Eren but he could have been a little nice towards Zeke atleast with his words.. Instead he called him pathetic for letting their father's past haunt him.. Sure boy :/ you're lucky you weren't raised the way Zeke was
I’m here after watching the final episode of the anime, and I have to say that I agree with all of your points. Zeke is one of my favorite characters in Attack on Titan, and while I’m not going to say that he’s a good person (hell, practically no one is in this series) I’m happy you were able to put into words how I felt about his character. He’s extremely underrated in my opinion, and I’m glad you were able to shed some light on why he’s such a well written character. Great video.
Thank you for this video man, I'm kinda late but I hope more people will see this. Zeke is definitely the best arch nemesis of Erwin. While Zeke saw life as meaningless and painful, Erwin saw life as painful but has meaning to every suffering. They were both my favorite characters in this series.

Lol first nobody gives a shit about the trash manga ending and second both trash shit character dogkasa and Levi were incapable of doing anything and it's first Zeke eho surrendered and let midget Levi kill him and second it was all Erens plan and he let the clown alliance fight in the first place and he let them reach till him. But that was the manga timeline kiddo in the anime soon u will see u gets crushed under collosals 😂

@@elisennesh7641Uhhh, no. Paradis was a metaphor for Imperial Japan. It was a nation that caused untold horrors in East & Southeast Asia but was brought down by America’s atomic bombs. Any imagery from Nazi Germany and WW2 was coincidental because when were Jewish people ever an empire that subjugated their neighbours like Eldians did? Please learn some media literacy and history, ffs.

I'm honestly shocked to find one person in a UA-cam comments section who knows we weren't! Look, I agree that there were clear allusions to Imperial Japan (the importance of the royal/imperial family to the Eldian Empire), but Isayama was also clearly mashing them up with elements from other aspects of history, including, yeah, the Holocaust.

Zeke is not so different than King Fritz and Willy Tybur, still adhered to the ideology of Eldian race as those who inherit the sins of their ancestors and still shall be punished upon, and that's also the reason i hate him.

He is not horrible... you guys fail to see that although it's unfair for Zeke to decide the fate of all Eldians but his plan was the only plan which could have a peaceful conclusion to the Eldian race and titan curse.. You saw what Eren did.. was that right? Also Armin's talk no jutsu wasn't going to work with the rest of the world either
