Started this little techwear interest fall of 2020. I now currently own 4 acronym pants, 2 Rosen x pants, 8 Enfin leve pants. Needless to say I have a bit of a problem. But each and every piece I’ve gotten has been a 100% worth it
@@corbincore I highly recommend trying out the different colors that Enfin Leve have to offer for Stotz. The anthracite color, the charcoal dye, and the white color have been some of my favorites
@@yohannjardiniano6726 I really wish they had different colors for Dryskin too. Honestly I'd change my whole aesthetic if they did, but I guess I'm stuck with being a guy who wears black everyday :)
Part of me is like, "just spend $600, it'll be a prime piece in my small wardrobe" and the other part is like "Will they really give 3x the enjoyment as my $200 pairs?"
For my recommendations for cheap pants I usually tell people to get the true spec cargos and get them altered at the tailor. Reason for this is they are very similar looking to the 2016 acg cargos and if tailored right they can give off a really similar vibe.
literally finishing altering a pair of craghoppers hiking pants (like 100$ but often on discount) right now, and then gonna waterproof em later, you can certainly get some bang for your buck if your willing do do a little work on it. ill come back and edit this later after a few bike commutes in the rain to evaluate the diy dwr, aka silicone sealant dissolved with mineral spirits and then brushed on, im excited, the standard "splash under a sink" has been promising
This is very true, even beyond just fashion, if you put in the work for something, often you get a much better deal (i.e. working on your own car etc). I'll have to look at the craghopper pants!
Bro this is a very good video, you are the reason why I rock 511 tactical pants and I to love mine as well, I used to love acronym for the aesthetic when I first started wearing techwear (which has only been for about a year) As the desire for acronym grew stronger I started asking myself why, especially because of the prices and I think it’s everything to do with hype which is why I started looking at Rosen X and Enfin leve pants because they’re not as hype, you get custom creation for your body for half the price and arguably to me they look more unique with the different cuts, but that’s my opinion.
I really appreciate it man! it was way longer than anticipated. I think demand/hype has something to do with the price, even in the second-hand market. I really respect Acronym for what is has done for fashion: incredibly inspirational. the R&D process is insane
id kill to get something like ameztus or even p10’s ,because i do find they have a different look imo, but god is it hard to find anything non custom and with technical fabric when you’re thicker than a snicker. been curious about getting the hitens in DS cause of that
Great Video, kwisatz haderach level in detail for real! I agree that enfin leve pants are the most bang for the buck in term of fit, styling and fabric, but honestly I gotta go with Acronym in term of technical design and though out usage for the wearer. Only if they did custom sizing damn it
that new Dune movie be fiiireeeee. The thing with acronym is that next-level design. really nothing like it and Obviously i'm not that opposed to the price, considering a have gotten 3 acronym pieces. got to respect the R&D and the influence Acronym has had.
Great video! I got the enfin leve ameztus thanks to you and they're my favourite pants I've ever had. Well worth the price for me, nothing else has come close to the comfort on them
Same here. Got the ameztus second hand (like new) for like $350. Way over what I'd spend on a clothing item, but they are my favorite pants, like, ever.
I heard enfin leve is willing to do minor changes to waist/length free of cost if you email them before purchasing. I hadn't had a chance to try it yet cause enfin leve says custom sizing for me isn't necessary. Also, schoeller dryskin is an umbrella for different types of dryskin fabrics. Some dryskin fabrics are composed of different materials that's why EL dryskin feels different from acronyms. Some dryskin get different treatments too (Coldblacck, Ecorepel, 3XDRY, etc). Nice vid btw
Probably for a super minor tweak it seems reasonable! Ah yes yes good point on the different dryskins. Makes sense, I know many of the enfin leve dryskin has coldblack and or 3xdry.
What's up homie!! Love when we get uploads from you. I was wondering if you could drop a video on how you take and edit those fire ass, cinematic, misty landscape fit pics you post on IG. Asking for a superfan.
aye thanks man! I was in Ireland and Iceland this summer and got some good fit pics (sister took the ones in iceland). I did a couple travel vids on a roadtrip in Ireland on my second channel called "CorbinCore"
what is your attitude on enfin leve as a brand tho? I can definitely tell they are heavily "inspired" by acronym, there are people saying they are just fake acronym, even kat kinda calls them out as blatant. But as far as my experience go, they do make quality pieces and not just crappy replica stuff, and since acronym hasn't released stuff like p10 and p23 for a while enfin is sorta the only choice other than find used.
Generally I like really like them. Usually each season there are several pieces that I would love to have in my wardrobe. I can see the similarities between some pieces such as the p10s and ameztus. However I wouldn't say its a direct copy, but definitely *cough* "inspired by" like you said. I think this is an example of the market providing a solution to a supply/demand issue. Even if P10s were still available for retail, they are incredibly expensive and the demand is high, its natural for someone to have a similar alternative. I think, from my biased POV, that they are just different enough yet still serve as an alternative (plus custom sizing and for less money). I think on a macro-level, if you showed me a full Acronym fit, and a full Enfin Leve fit, they would give off very different looks, yet when looking at specific pieces (ie p10/ameztu), some are oddly similar. at the end, I would say its a favorite brand
IMO they are obviously taking design elements from Acronym, sometimes maybe more than they should, but a lot of the ”lol fake acronym” is just weido superfans who think every slanted pocket must be blessed by papa E himself to be trve techwear
Nice video, really loved the comparison and analysis! I think this will make a really valuable resource for people considering moving up from the less expensive pants or just starting their techqear wardrobe. I totally agree that the Ameztus are amazing; they are my favorite pants I've ever had and really are amazing in every way. They fit really well on you too. The one thing that annoys me a little is the baggy knee. Also, if I walk around in them in 75F weather, I start to get sweaty in them. But as a fall/mild winter pant, they are perfect. I actually wear them to work and to formal events, too. I'm even wearing them right now lounging in my house as I type this :) It might be cool to make the spreadsheet public and maybe add on to it if you come across pants you really like.
Thank you man! It came out to be way longer than originally intended! i do agree with the baggy knee, I find leaving the ankle unzipped helps the the baggy knee part (but hey it does move really well). I've really considered wearing these to the office with a smart/casual shirt and some clean shoes. I wore mine today as well :) I think that idea could be really cool across all items in my wardrobe.

Acronym is overpriced but you certainly do get amazing design details for your money. I love Enfin Leve though, they have worked with me to create the perfect pair of pants (they created a new pattern etc) and their customer service is the best I've experienced anywhere.
their R&D is definitly priced in, but at least its a good quality build! That's really good to hear that they would do a completely custom pair, I didnt know that! I think im going to get a jacket from their most recent collection soon

i used to view them from a perspective of brand identity but now that they released all the merch tier asus ROG stuff and the new nike collab stuff their brand has 0 value for me anymore. this is good because now i can view each piece on their own merit and when i do i can more objectively compare them with other brands and it really doesnt hold up.
It does have a cult following for sure which plays into hype and even in the second hand market. I will give it to them that what they have done is, from my POV, incredible revolutionary/inspirational.
