There is a beat and the other guy says "disgusting."

Reva and Grand Inquisitor were ridiculous. Sabine though was off to the side and received immediate medical attention. Still I think it would have been better if Shin had cut her leg off and then she got a robot leg.

A lightsaber stab through the thoracic arch, where the aorta comes out of the heart, which was that third middle stab, would be fatal. Nearly instantly, in fact.
This is where blood feeds both lower part of the body but also where it branches upward into the head. It's a wrap at that moment.

I agree, which is why they shouldn't have stabbed him in the first place. If that affected their plot, they should have reworked it considerably, rather than deliberately write themselves into corners for shock value.

I didn’t really like the cut where it showed him pulling out the shoto. Looks like Jecki just ran into it. Would have been better if we saw him block with the main lightsaber then her get stabbed by the shoto, we saw him put it back on the lightsaber so we would have worked out what he did.
She did run into it, or rather he turned it on right as she reached him.
What are you talking about, what you described is literally what happened, he blocked with his main saber and stabbed with the shoto.
@@MyLibertyTV I was saying we shouldn’t have seen him draw the shoto. Just her getting stabbed by it. Then him putting it back on his main lightsaber. It’s a small detail that could have given a bigger impact.
Way I look at it, the quick cut is essentially them saying these things happened at once, but filming it that way wouldn't look how we want, so we'll represent it like this.
To be fair, there are a lot of just bad cinematography and choreography moments throughout the whole episode. I mean it's filmed so tight throughout to hide people doing nothing in the background. Really this isn't the most offensive moment both from a suspense or story perspective.

First Starkiller got stabbed by Lightsabres and thrown into the vacuum of space which then he survived of course nobody cared back then.
Second Darth Maul got cut in half and he survived but getting stabbed is too much I guess.
Third Sabine got stabbed in the side and possibly didn’t get hit anywhere important also it cartelised the wounds.
And fourth, the grand Inquisitor and the third sister used the power of revenge to stay alive just like Darth Maul did, funny how it went back around to before Disney.
If you are going to criticise something in the Disney Star Wars, then you have to acknowledge the same fault before, you can’t pick and choose what do you want to have a go about.
It’s like people complaining that fire was in space in the first episode of the actual completely forgetting that Star Wars has had fire in space since A New Hope, or did everyone forget that the death star blew up?

Jecki is dead. Period. I understand the frustrations people have with people surviving lightsaber stabs, but at the same time, it depends on the spot. Maul was CUT IN HALF and survived through certain justifications. Sabine survived bc she was stabbed in a spot that literally would not kill her, plus she got immediate medical attention. Barriss was stabbed in the center of her body-the spine-like Qui-Gon, meaning they’re dead. If lightsabers cauterize the wounds like we’ve seen in pre-Disney canon, then it makes sense for situations like Sabine getting stabbed make sense. It just depends on the spot they’re stabbed at. Jecki is definitely (unfortunately) dead.
Whilst it's funny she got stabbed multiple times, its concerning they now have to go to such lengths to drive the home the point she is dead. The other shows have really taken away the impact of lightsaber stabs to the point people are still speculating she could come back. Hell, for all we know, in the next episode they will reveal her species has no vital organs in their torso and she just passed out from the pain

I mean, how many times was 50 cent shot? People survive close range grenade blasts. Buuut, if you keep bringing back every character that gets stabbed by a lightsaber, then it loses all meaning.
I suppose they could argue that she's an alien, and her internals are different, or has a stronger healing factor, etc. Personally, I'd rather that there be stakes in the Star Wars universe. I don't like plot armor.

To be fair, surviving a stab wound makes more sense than surviving being burned alive or cut in half.

If you hadn't quit so far, you'll swallow that too, like a good boy. Corporations are happy to have people who can't stop consuming crap just because it has a familiar label on it.
The real question is why any of these villains stab someone and then proceed to carefully pull the saber straight back out so as not to cause any further damage, instead of just flicking it to the side. It's a freaking lightsaber, not an actual sword, not like the body would offer any resistance...
I am about to get blown up for this, but 2 things.
1. Maul was cut in half and survived for over ten years only on anger and revenge, and no one bats an eye.
2. Kinda funny how the only shows that do the stabbing and not dying are the ones where Dave Filoni is one of the main directors. Filoni may be a Star Wars fan, but he is the one commonality between most of these Star Wars shows.
Dave Filoni is the new George Lucas, as far as I can tell, at least to a good number of "fans". If it's good, it's because Filoni is at the helm, if it's bad or simply doesn't make sense, it's Disney's fault.

@jamesarnold7253 you're right, it's basically a holdover from the pulpy origins of screen space opera where aliens had to be humanoid as those types of creatures were basically costumes that had to accommodate human actors. Now that CGI exists, I'd love to see more creative types of aliens that would have been impossible to depict without that technology.

I’m am about 98% sure that lightsabers should almost immediately boil and vaporize all the blood in a persons body if they get stabbed by one.
This thing is literally a high grade sword of pure plasma!
People try to refute this by saying something along the lines of the plasma is contained by a magnetic field which gives the blade its shape and limits its heating capacity merely to the level of cauterising wounds (blatantly ignoring the fact Qui-Gon's lightsaber blade reduces a steel door to molten metal)... but intuitively, and from a storytelling standpoint, I agree with you. A clean stab through the torso with a lightsaber should 100% be a fatal blow.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the two Jedi that got decapitated came back

In my own head canon, Shin Hati intentionally wounded Sabine with a careful thrust that was serious but not fatal, in order to slow down Ahsoka. If Shin had killed Sabine, Ahsoka would have continued the chase...really pissed. If Shin had intended to kill Sabine, even if the thrust was initially non-fatal, all it took was a flick of the wrist to make it fatal...it's a _saber_ after all, not an epee. Did the writers actually think all that through? Probably not.

It’s already been more than three times when a character has survived being skewered by a lightsaber, and lived. In my books, it’s “three strikes, YER OUT!” Not to mention all of the other swing-and-a-miss Disney has been producing with Star Wars. Forget about it! You think a second season of “Andor” is enough to keep me around? That show was an ANOMALY that doesn’t belong with the rest of the series, and only reminds me that a Jar-Jar Binks, or a Babu Frik type character could step in at any moment.
No, I am OUT. It’s even getting to the point where I’m not getting pleasure from watching videos of fans bashing Star Wars anymore. It’s just sad now. Star Wars used to be the throne of cinema. I was alive when it was known as a perfect trilogy of films, like “Back to the Future” still is today. Now, there’s a series that didn’t sell out.
Ugh… just imagine completing watching the “Back to the Future” trilogy, and having to mentally block-out a lousy prequel that explains WHY Doc Brown invented the time machine, and how he and Marty became friends. Just think of all of the mental gymnastics you’d have to do to omit the sequels that had Doc & family skipping through time and space on a ridiculous flying steam train. No way, man. The Two Bobs stuck to their guns, and “Back to the Future” will ALWAYS remain a classic trilogy.
Oh, well… I’m used to all of my childhood heroes being ruined now. Luke Skywalker is dead. Indiana Jones is dead. Doctor Who is dead. Marvel sucks. Star Trek is lame. James Bond has vanished. Superman has suffered an identity crisis… ugh… I give up. I’m too old for this shit.
