    That's been a typical day fishing for a majority of my 55 odd years of going to the Seaspray/ Golden Beach area😂, I notice comments about catching toadies off the beach, I assumed that was the norm since I've caught multiples🤷🏻‍♂️?!
    Good video again Steve.

    Hi Steve , it doesn’t matter what you try on the beach if your not in the right spot then nothing works . I once walked onto the beach at paradise and we fished next to a guy who’d been there all weekend and we pulled in 52 large salmon in just over 1 and a half hours using the same bait and rig as him with one difference ( blue popper) never done that again 🎣my friends and families did well from that trip.

    “….don’t want too much curry powder in there….” LOL. That cook up would have been an awesome segment on Steve’s Cook Ups. Pity about the fishing at the moment but, you can only catch the fish that are there….the heavy weather may have pushed them out for a while. Anyway mate….thanks for sharing.

      @@Mark-ew5jm lol.. as it turns out it wasn't too much.
      I might do another rice cooker special on the cook up channel..
      An 'all in one' dish.
      For cheap one it cooks really well.
      Thanks Mark 👍

    That's why it's called fishing not catching,lol. Everyone has times like that. At least you can have the claim to fame as being the only person I've heard of catching a toad fish off the surf, pretty stiff there. Hopefully the beach improves with the weather and carves out another channel along there. Tight lines mate

    How far out do you cast? Been fishing here for the last year on weekends, spent 100 hours easy and caught one salmon, same set up as you to the tee

    • @SteveOutside
      @SteveOutside  20 днів тому

      @adamcroft6114 up until the big storm we had here last month we had an awesome gutter running along here. Which fished really well, so didn't need to cast out far.
      That's almost completely gone now.
      On this video I reckon I was casting out about 80 metres.
      I think the fish have been pushed further out now.
      Just can't find any lately?

    Hi Steve would you educate me as to what a blue popper is please

    • @SteveOutside
      @SteveOutside  20 днів тому

      @garybrooks2730 especially it's a lure.
      Mostly it's tied to one of the drppers on a two dropper paternoster surf rig.
      As it moves in the current of the waves it resembles a baitfish.
      Salmon and Tailor love them.
      I even caught a Gummy on one a few weeks ago.

    • @SteveOutside
      @SteveOutside  19 днів тому

      @garybrooks2730 to be honest I don't know if they come in different sizes.
      The hook on these look about 1/0 size.
