@@maunatlalathetechguy859 You should get an email with a response on whether you’re invited to the bootcamp or not. At that stage you’ll go through a 2 week coding program and they select the people they believe can make it in the entire program. They took about 25 days to reply with the invitation after writing the test. I’d recommend applying to WeThinkCode as well because they generally reply faster, and if you make both you can choose between the 2
Thanks, for the content Naledi. I quite enjoy your channel, I've beeen looking for more SA tech related channels cause I wanted something more relatable than the US channels 😂. I made a career shift from construction to tech because after I finished varsity I struggled to get work in what I studied for. Currently I'm at Explore Data Science and I've been enjoying the course so far. However, one thing I would say from speaking to people who are in different bootcamps and having done tests for some of these bootcamps myself is that, it is recommended to at least expose yourself to some basic coding. This can be through watching UA-cam videos or looking for free platforms online like freecode camp. Most of these bootcamps say they are friendly (in terms of being able to grasp content ) for people who've never even printed a hello world statement but if you've been part of any you'll know that isn't the case 😂. Since these bootcamps are trying to compress what you'd get in a four year degree in 2 years it is understandable that they will be a bit pacey but they are doable. My suggestion to those looking to get into tech, would be to at least familiarize themselves with some basic concepts before going to coding bootcamps so that you can make a smooth transition.
Hey, thats what I atrying to do before applying for the bootcamps. I guess my question is what are the basics exactly?I am new to the developing sector , and alot of courses keep saying beginner I tend to feeo lost and wonder if maybe I haven't skipped any foundation work
