I used to go to scouts with Tom, remember bumping into Him on a train years ago when he was going to pick up a guitar from Peckham, think I may have been going to a gig. Glad you have made it the big time tom, you certainly have got the crowd going. Looks like All that moshing at subs sonic has paid off.
The singer got my attention!! Really like the sound and attitude! This is another band I didn't see on the Beeb, over Glasto weekend, I feel like there's just TOO much choice lol
What in the...?!?!! That would make me love them even more too! I actually saw Dry Cleaning in Montreal, Quebec, the home province of Voivod. Maybe that's where he got it.
Here's what the band had to say about the track : In the search for your true calling in life, it’s easy to try so many things that you end up confused. It can lead to an enormous build-up of frustration. You may fantasise about exacting revenge upon your real or imagined enemies. Ephemeral things and small-scale escapist experiences can provide some relief!
im not sure I would read into it too much.. i remember the lead singer saying she writes random phrases into her notes when she overhears people using them in daily life, and incorporates them into her songs. very unique way of writing, really cool. but does mean some songs are hard, if not impossible, to decipher
Yeah Nah. PJ Harvey is a genius and an awesome singer and guitarist. Dry Cleaning are kinda one trick ponies: the music is cool and the deadpan vocals would be cool if that was how she performed on some of their songs. But is is how she does every song and it gets dull after a while.
Absolutely obsessed with this track, and talk it constantly 🤣
WHY DON'T YOU WANT OVEN CHIPS NOW??
YY, as a parent, I am convinced this is me being SEEN
That bass tone is amazing.... I love this band.
P-bass played with a pick is always a sweet combo isnt it
It's rock n roll at its purist. P-bass and Ampeg. It don't get better.
Her expressions are genius. Nice one.
Sublime performance! The band truly deserves this kind of attention and enthusiasm from the crowd
thanks very much for the twix.... i love them

The singer got my attention!! Really like the sound and attitude! This is another band I didn't see on the Beeb, over Glasto weekend, I feel like there's just TOO much choice lol

Florence about to laugh is the cutest, it’s about time she breaks during a song 😂
She didn't break, that laugh was performative ;)
Guitarist wearing a Voivod shirt?! Legendary!!
Sonic Youth's influence keeps present all the times.
And Polly Harvey's
@@keithbate9405 where do you hear pj's influence here?
The energy and guitar playing of her first few (90's) albums.
@@littlesometin The early PJH albums from the 1990's had the same kind of energy . Also I think the Fall are an influence.

Except Joy Division had atmosphere and energy.
@@gilafunk Don't be silly.
@@fuckamericanidiot you’re one of those everything is shit nowadays but was good in my day people right?
@@SamWalsh1 Not at all. But this stinks. It's cool to sound disinterested and be completely humourless in 2022.
Love it!!
i would like some oven chips pls florence 🤲
What a band! Singer is the perfect cross between Ian Curtis and Eddie Argos, love it.
Singer is not a ''cross'' between anybody, she's her own self.

That bassist has Viking hair.
Grian Chatten mom I know you wanted to use MI6 to isolate me. Rules of the road
I hear bits of the Cure, The Pixies, The Organ, Joy Division, Nirvana, Portishead, Smashing Pumpkins and so on and so on
very melodic music, especially vocals
😬
A lot of pixies and the song.. i like it
Does she blink her eyes?
👌
Can someone tell me what the lyrics mean?
Here's what the band had to say about the track :

I like this but I keep thinking the Fall / PJ Harvey
Ian Kevin Curtis
There's this lead singer who stays in the same spot for the whole set, then there's Amyl & the Sniffers ... quite the contrast
And yet, both work.
Micidiali dal vivo
why don’t you want oven chips nowwww……….
🫶🏼🫶🏼
Can’t help feeling Lewis is the hottest guy on the planet
He's also super friendly. Met him at a festival a few days ago and he stopped to chat. Made my day. ❤️

Good band but very Magazine influenced IMO 👍
They have a great sound especially with all the other mediocre bands that have played!
They're good but I struggle to differentiate their songs
This is the one about the scratchcard lanyard
Art innit.
this sounds like pill... but with a pissed off Souixie wannabe... that said I like it
Can she sing or was it her day off? Did she have a bad throat?
Music good. Lyrics. Crap. Oven chips. Twix? Rubbbbbisb
