Theres something about this band....how it all just works. The studio recordings are so perfect that you wouldn't think these tunes would work faster or more lively....but somehow they all manage to lock in and fucking nail it no matter what. These cats remind me of magazine, not sound wise just how everything fits together perfectly.
Being a sonic youth fan, i received this album like fresh wather on the face. They are unique but one can easily recognize the influences on this band, what a great band.
This. Is. Everything. This really takes off and flies. That voice keeps us tethered while the guys zoom off with all the feelings she’s only intimating. What a vibe. I’ll take your oven chips.
the more i listen to these the more genius is revealed. spoken work in music is nothing new but here the music and the speech are two completely different unrelated entities that both stand up as a single piece. they dont need each other to be a complete track. you could have the instro or the poetry alone and it would still be good. this is what most people dont get about music or art in general.
Yeah, they’re just incredible. Like all the best bands, they sound totally unique and fresh, and yet also echo everything that’s come before AT THE SAME TIME.
Did not peg these guys as a band to mosh to, but if they play this song at this speed when concerts are a thing again, this will absolutely light the pit up. Can’t wait!
They should promote themselves with scratchcards on personalized lanyards and the winning scratchcard could be like two free tickets and loads of signed goodies. Just a thought I have everytime I hear this song
Yes they are utterly brilliant and literally only found them on Spotify a mere few hours ago. I shall now play their tracks morning noon and night. Love them!!!
@@marvincheeseman6173 Florence? Has an incredible voice and the music works so well with it and vice versa. I love that they are so unique. Lyrics are awesome too. Sadly I probably will be waiting a long time to see them as all the way over the other side of the world in NZ.
Hope you get to see them eventually. Really looking forward to the album whenever it gets released. New Zealand - never been but my brother has, he loved it.
@@marvincheeseman6173I eagerly await the release of their album ........hoping that it won’t be too far into the future. Glad to hear that your brother enjoyed his time in NZ. It’s an incredibly beautiful country with a very diverse landscape. in the 80's This Charming Man went for a walk in the Forest because his New Dawn faded and Love had torn him apart again , he died there and turned Golden Brown , but one day was reincarnated as a Dry Cleaner.
I’m obsessed with this band. Superb.
I could (have literally) listen to the song on repeat for an entire day!
@@ToddHenkelprofile same here, mate. I watch the KEXP session regularly.
Glad I'm not the only one.
Haven't had a new favourite for years and these come and smash me right in the face.

Got the album this morning, been listening all day, love it!
listened to this about 10000 times and this is my fav version on here

They’re so tight.
They’re the Anti-Grateful Dead.
The fucking guitar tone is outstanding!
Dude I know right? Guitar work on this song is amazing. I could listen to just the guitar and bass track.
Thought I was the only person to notice this.
Try listening to some of We Are Scientists' stuff from about 2006, the style is similar.
Agree. The tone and chord progression is similar to Drink The Elixir by Salad
Currently the best thing happening in music thank the lord we’ve been saved !!!!!
Most important band since the 90s
Most important band since the 1890s.
objectively false
Pat Dad on the head - “Alright you big loudmouth?” and “Thanks very much for the Twix.”
Being a sonic youth fan, i received this album like fresh wather on the face. They are unique but one can easily recognize the influences on this band, what a great band.
Love how the drummer is super happy with the guitar part at 3:23
Guitar riff on the chorus hits the spot each and every time.
0:47 when my coworkers ask me if I want to go out for lunch.
PERFECT!!!!

Best tune this year! I’m obsessed!
THE GUITARS!!! Oh those sweet, sweet guitars! sounds incredible!
They certainly do! I love it!
The Fall are no longer with us. Dry Cleaning fill that void so well. Thought, integrity, art + skills!

Sonic Youth meets The Fall with the lyrical esoteric nature of Wire's best work. But also nothing like the before mentioned things
Very post punk.
Guitar sound and sparsensss very Wire. But danceable! 👍🏻👍🏻
Would love to have seen a colab with the great MES
Wow. Thank God I watched Jools last night. Extraordinary genius. I love them overnight lol
same here, never heard of them before - but what a great sound
Yeh the video for this song is great to 👍

Really unique and special band. The new album couldn't come sooner.
Their tunes are the closest I’ve seen lately of being able to describe the time period we’re living in

Vaguely reminds me of Disorder. Might be the guitar and bass lines.
Good one... The Fall too....
I can’t wait to see this band live, the crowd is going to be ridiculous

What a nice Stereolab-like Motorik!

The only reason I can think of for not wanting oven chips, is that someone pissed on me in the big Sainsbury’s
Are there any other kind of chips?
They dont want me. She seems sad too.
I can’t decide who has the most incredible hair, I think the bass manie has my vote
Beautiful performance, I can’t stop listening 💕
