New subscriber. You are one busy mom. Beautiful family. Precious kids. Brings back so many memories. My parents are both 89 years old. I’m truly blessed. I live across the road from them. They are both in fairly good health. I see them everyday. I help mom cook supper everyday. Thank you for this great video. Excited to follow along on this channel
That’s wonderful you live so close to your parents. We are also planning on having my parents live nearer to us eventually, it’s such a blessing to have family around. Thank you for following along!
Hello there and welcome to UA-cam world, look forward to watching your channel. I’m a mama of 9 only 2 are still at home, we have always homeschooled, home birth and homestead . Blessings!
Welcome to UA-cam😊 ❤ I grew up on a homestead and my husband and I are returning to one with our offspring this spring in Maine lol ! Can’t WAIT! To start raising them how I grew up! I’ve been baking sourdough and eating grass-fed beef in preparation! I also homeschool my 3 children as well🫶🏼 Love your channel and your farm and can’t wait to see what’s next for you!!! Totally subscribed for the journey 😊 Oh, you started the video saying you already got all those things done… would love to see your morning routine😊 I like mine pretty well but other moms always inspire me🥰
Loved the video, didn't even realize it's your first until I read the comments! Can't wait to see what else you have planned for this channel. Good luck from Croatia 😊
It's so cool to be one of your first watchers! Love your homemaking. Maybe next time explain how you make the yoghurt/bread etc? I'm always on the lookout for new tips! Good luck with the channel. Love from Belgium!🥰
I loved your video! I am also a homesteading/homeschooling Mama and I feel your pain with dishes and laundry 🤣. I enjoy all homemaking content. Looking forward to your next one!
If you listen to a couple videos on UA-cam, the male guineas make one noise and the females make the other! I can’t tell them apart by looking at them but if you have both different sounds you can know that you have males and females.
I love this so much! Where are you from? My husband and I have a small ranch in Montana. We have 6 children as well and expecting our seventh. I have just learned the art of sourdough, and that has been so much fun. My next endeavor is either sauerkraut or yogurt. What do you recommend I try next?
We are in Ontario Canada so similarish climate to yours. Congratulations on expecting your seventh baby, large families are so much fun! I think I tried making yogurt before making sauerkraut because it felt less daunting but both are really easy once you get the hang of them.
Thanks for the reply! How do you do your yogurt? I have seen people do it in the instant pot, crockpot, and oven. Maybe a video on how you do your yogurt would be great. I look forward to you upcoming videos!
Thank you for the suggestion! I keep meaning to get some every time I go in there but by the time I get inside I’ve forgotten again. I just ordered some now and they should be here soon.
Yes of course! We use the whey in smoothies when I’m running low on yogurt. I also use it as an acidic medium to soak beans, or grains to make them more digestible. In the summer we’ve also used it to make lemonade for the kids which I know sounds weird but it actually worked pretty well. In the coming weeks I’m planning on sharing a muffin recipe that uses whey, an oatmeal recipe that uses whey and a granola recipe that uses whey so you can be on the lookout for that 😊.
For what you use that water you separate from yogurt just I'm wondering how about that usually I threw away water I separate from yogurt I don't know for what we can use it? I love your video:)
Hey your video came up in my suggested videos! And I'm glad! I'm also homesteading in ontario! We live on 10 acres in Southern Ontario.
So happy to meet a fellow homesteading Ontarian! It’s so expensive to homestead here, I sometimes think we are few and far between.
Hey I live in Ontario Canada as well, homeschool and sourdough mama here 👋
@@TheSacredHeartHomestead maybe...definitely more so than in the US.
Land is definitely expensive.
Wow you're doing well for your first video!
Thanks! I’m very surprised people are enjoying it.

Hello, I am so happy that more and more of us are choosing to homeschool our kids and grow parts of our food. Hi, from Canada.
That is awesome! It’s lovely to meet like-minded people 😊
Wait where are u in Canada?! Cause I’m in Canada and that’s how I’m raising my children🫶🏼

Thanks so much for the tip! I think I have 2 females and 2 males but we shall see 🤣
yes, always best to dress the kids in something cute just in case they test you!
Right!? 😂

Niceeee! Where in MT?! I was home birthed there and haven’t been back. Will start homesteading in Maine this spring😅
That’s great! I have always wanted to visit Maine. We are in the Manhattan area, west of Bozeman.

Would love to see your recommendations for prayer books/morning time reading if you’re comfortable sharing ☺️
Sure I actually just use my 1962 daily prayer missal and do the morning prayers and then the readings for the day.

Nice video, but I would like to suggest getting some chicken aprons for a few of your hens.

Hello from Maine! Dairy farmers wife, here 👋
Curious if you could share some of the uses you have for your yogurt whey!
Yes of course! We use the whey in smoothies when I’m running low on yogurt. I also use it as an acidic medium to soak beans, or grains to make them more digestible. In the summer we’ve also used it to make lemonade for the kids which I know sounds weird but it actually worked pretty well.

Wait?! No way!!! I’m moving to Maine to homestead in the spring! Where are u located?! Do u have children and homeschool?
Would love to know all the ways you use the yogurt whey!
I use it for baking (sub it for milk), for soaking grains and for smoothies.
For what you use that water you separate from yogurt just I'm wondering how about that usually I threw away water I separate from yogurt I don't know for what we can use it? I love your video:)
Thank you so much! I use the yogurt whey in smoothies, to soak grains and beans and in baking (like instead of water).
What do you use the whey for?
Sweet video
Thank you
I use it to soak grains, make granola, oatmeal and smoothies.
