I had five kids within five years. My first two were 10 months apart. The rest were 13 months apart. It was a busy busy time in life. But now they are all grown and all best friends to this day. Two are cnas at a local nursing home. One of those are in school to become a surgery teck. Two are paid firefighters and one is a stay at home momma. I am also blessed with six grandchildren... I do so miss those busy busy days..
Absolutely love your channel! Your farm name caught my eye as I Love the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and our farm is Fiat Farm! Traditional Catholic mom of 8 in MI trying my best to homestead and homeschool my children and get them to Heaven! Our families are so similar, I even have the same baby carrier and dog. You’re doing such an amazing job raising your family and they are so very blessed to have a loving faithful mother like you. God Bless you!
I love leftovers food making it for lunches. Always better the next day for some reason 😂. Thank you about the laundry reminded me on doing bedding. My clothes light out of commission. Hoping next year we will have it.
So I just found you, and I’m sitting here at 8pm getting the kiddos settled , they are having their banana (bedtime snack) and we’re going to read our book. And I just want to say I’m so thankful for you because I am forgetting to have time ALONE, by MYSELF….. no one else but me.
It’s so important! Sometimes I feel guilty for taking that time but it really does make us better mothers to prioritize times when we can think our own thoughts. I’m glad my video was a reminder to you 😊
What a precious family you have. I know exactly what you mean about the mittens!! And we also ate muffins and over easy eggs for breakfast this morning. Although I know you made this video several months ago 😅. God bless ❤
This was a fun thing to see pop up on my UA-cam feed today! We have so many similarities. We’re a homesteading, homeschooling, TLM Catholic family attending an FSSP parish, living in the snowy north with 8 kids. 😊
Sometimes UA-cam hits the nail on the head! It recommended this video and I’m so glad. New subscriber after just one video! I have 5 kids, pregnant with my sixth. We also homestead and homeschool. We do a little of everything….egg layers, meat birds, meat rabbits, turkeys, pigs, beef cows and 2 dairy cows. So fun to find another big family, homesteading momma to follow along with ❤️
Thank you for the peek into your daily routine. I enjoyed watching you with your children living within the love of the Sacred Heart. It is truly a blessing! I will remember your family in my daily masses and communions. I, too, use my sourdough starter as much as I can in various recipes. Thanks for showing your different recipes. May The Holy Family bless your family!
I've only just found your channel and I'm enjoying it very much, especially all the baking. I love your Pyrenean Mountain dogs. I had one many years ago, think around 1976, they are so affectionate. I look forward to future videos.
❤ really great video! So nice to see someone with a similar lifestyle. We are dairy farmers in central eastern Ontario with 4 kiddos and videos like these are so refreshing. Your music, the way you explain things and the content is excellent! Thank you for sharing some of your life. 😊 And I am so with you on the dressing small humans for Canadian winters 😅😅 45 min of dress work for 15-20min play time. Lol
I think you have to blend/whip egg first and slowly add oil while blending second. Hope this helps! Thanks for sharing your homestead experience. We are also praying about this too. Planning to start with chickens first lol😊
Thank you for the tip, I will try that next time. I definitely recommend getting chickens, even if you don’t end up getting any other livestock. They are very straight forward and easy to take of. You won’t regret it!
God bless you and your family! The trick with mayo is to NOT move the immersion blender first until the oil emulsifies and gets thick (just like you did in this video).
Coming to say this too. Keep the immersion blended on the bottom. It mimics drizzling in the oil since only a little can emulsify at a time. I learned it from americas test kitchen and now it works every time.
I love your channel! I’m a mom of little ones from Georgia. Thank you for the solidarity regarding the difficulty of getting those little guys out the door to play outside 😂
J’aime beaucoup ton contenu 🧡 je viens de découvrir ta chaîne 😊 c’est beau de voir votre belle routine et de voir que tu as du temps pour toi même si tu as 6 enfants. Merci pour le partage 🙏🏻
New to your channel, I liked it so I subbed. I'm older than you and I had 7 kids, homesteaded ( still do but alone now). I enjoyed watching your video and feeling nostalgic ❤️❤️
I just watched This Mamas house and she did Mayo and said that the key to keep the blender on the bottom of the jar until your sure it’s turned to Mayo. I enjoyed your video! Hugs from Oregon!
Justine, I just found your channel today, and subscribed immediately! Lovely video! Im a mom of almost 9 (I’m due next week 😅) and though we live in Missouri, I was born and raised in Canada, eastern Ontario as well (and spent 8 years growing up in northern Alberta). I have a few siblings who live there still, both out in AB and in Ontario. Your videos resonate with me for many reasons: we homeschool, garden, keep chickens, and I love all things sourdough. The name of your channel drew me in immediately as well, I knew you had to be catholic! I see you using the 1962 missal ❣️ Are you guys traditional Catholics? Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed “meeting” your cows in another of your videos and learning about the Canadienne breed. How special you have one. We love raw milk here, too (though we don’t have cows, we get our milk from the local Amish). Keep up the beautiful videos and God bless!
@@TheSacredHeartHomestead we keep ours in the counter, so them are room temperature, but maybe….I even measure now to see if that makes a difference and still have fails once in a while!
I wanted to come back to you and let you know that some others commented that you need to keep the immersion blender down until everything is emulsified. Apparently I’ve been too quick on lifting it out. Hope it helps with your mayo too!
@@TheSacredHeartHomestead yes! I keep it down for about 30-60 seconds. So I’m still not sure why it doesn’t work. It’s about 1 in every 10-15 batches, so it’s not horrible. I just turn it into ranch dressing-lol
My mother in law gave it to me and I’m not sure where she found it but this one is very very similar www.amazon.com/Totally-Bamboo-20-2083-2-Inch-Round/dp/B003PBHGHG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=37BZLA1M3Y534&keywords=salt+container&qid=1708345046&sprefix=salt+con%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1&smid=A3UD9FK955DKQN

putting mittens on babies IS a discipline, a self giving and traumatic experience for all involved :) God bless you all!

That’s so lovely! I try to remind myself that it is just a season and I hope to look back fondly on these days just like you someday 😊
It is so exciting to find a unabashedly traditional Catholic homemaker! ❤
Thank you 😊
Me too!
I clicked on your video when I saw your beautiful channel name! Yay for a catholic mom blog with lots of little kids! New subscriber. ❤
Thank you for subscribing!
The baby looking at the camera is so adorable! 😂❤

I’m of the same opinion on dress for chores. The livestock doesn’t give a hoot what I’m wearing, just that they’re fed.❤
Glad you agree 😊
Yay! Finally someone I can relate to in Ontario. 6 kids here. Suburbs to homestead (recently). Homeschool and faith! New subscriber!
Wow! We have a lot in common! Thank you so much for subscribing!
Beautiful life. God bless you and the family.

Thank you 😊 It sounds like we have a lot in common. And yes we attend an FSSP parish so I would consider myself more traditional.
Also congratulations on your 9th baby!
The same thing happens to me with my mayo! Wish I knew why!
Ugh it’s so frustrating. My best guess is the temperature of the egg maybe? 🤔
@@TheSacredHeartHomestead we keep ours in the counter, so them are room temperature, but maybe….I even measure now to see if that makes a difference and still have fails once in a while!

@RiseandShineSuburbanHomestead so weird! I’ll have to see if I also have failed batches despite keeping down longer.
Omg I thought your dog was a polar bear for a split second at the very end😂🤦♀️
🤣 I can see why! I sometimes convince the kids her paw prints are wolf prints since she’s so big
Thank you for sharing! You have a beautiful family❤️
Where did you purchase your salt container?
For the mayo, the egg has to be a little bit warm, room temperature 😊
Thank you for the tip! I think this is where I might be going wrong.
