I used to be like that... lol. Now having my 5th child I feel way more productive than I ever have been. I sometimes think back to the young me complaining when I only had 1 or 2 and laugh.
I so agree, and honestly, I think it's reflective of yesterday years. Being a homemaker is and always has been a huge part of families... of growing up.
We grew up this way in Canada and the benefits are a true testament to healthy happy families!! ☺️🍁🍂

I live in Massachusetts. We are having a wonderfully long fall season with no frost as well. And because of that all my plants are still active. I’m still picking green beans and just picked the last of my tomatoes which is very unusual. My eggplant is still growing. It’s so very nice, no frost and very unusually warm just like you are having
Even here in northern WI we just had our 2nd frost. I'm still enjoying some of my flowers and my strawberry basket! Heard it's going to be a warm El Nino winter.

Every recipe of yours I've tried has been a repeat worthy favorite. I'm sure many (including me!) would love to have a solid hard copy in their kitchens. Lol, each page adorned with splashes from repeated use!
I love that you are showing more real life clips. I live a very similar lifestyle, 5 kids, homeschooling, homesteading, dairy cow, etc. I would say I swap out the online work at home mom side for a lot of food preservation and we raise and process all of our own meat. In the end we have very similar schedules though and people always wonder how I get stuff done with so many kids as well. And the answer really is that you just learn to function with and around them. I very rarely sit down and play with my kids but we are together and we do things all together all day long and it looks very much like this....except not so beautiful because I don't have a heart for interior design like you do haha. It really does come down to taking back all the little moments in the day and not wasting them, waiting for the times when it would be easier to accomplish a task because kids aren't around. I love that you really seem to be showing this more and I think it helps people to see places that maybe they could squeeze other things in. The world seems to be so focused on making life easier that we as a society seem to have forgotten that its ok to do tasks in ways that are maybe a little slower and a little more challenging but still rewarding in the end.
I’ve been enjoying fall more and more. I believe it has become my favorite season. Cozy fires, soups, and changing leaves 🍁 ❤

Marigolds are a super, under appreciated flower! They bloom their guts out all summer long and really come alive in the cooler temps. They easily self sow as well for the next summer. I❤❤❤❤ them.
My daughter planted marigolds for us this summer-our first time-and I’m obsessed with them now.

When it got cold out, my dad would make me buttered toast dipped in hot chocolate. I made this for my kids and they still love it. Also a pint size glass jar fits a Kraft cheese lid, which makes a perfect container for baking soda. The lid opens on one side so u can measure easily.
That sounds good! It’s funny how we always want the foods and flavors we remember as a kid! So many memories attached!

Today I fed my starter for baking tomorrow, cooked up 2 quiche, made a pot of pasta and another of rice, and been preparing food for various quick grab lunches for our working family. This weekend we’re enjoying the beginning of Autumn on our traditional visit to a cousin’s beach home where we’ll walk the beach, grill and eat delicious food and recharge our souls before holiday season is upon us. 😊

Your podcast needs to interview YOU to teach women how you wear a newborn and raise a toddler and how to manage time and how to interact and nourish the babies of different ages and still function and get tasks done.
Please use this channel to not just cook as we are familiar with your recipes but impart your knowledge on us of your daily life.
It would be a massive success to change the direction of your channel and show us days in your life again.

I still have my vegetable garden and raspberries going strong in October here in Utah. It's been cold but it hasn't hit a freeze yet in my area so I'm trying to keep it going as long as I can. My flower garden is still beautiful too. 😊

Those marigolds are the gift that keeps on giving! They will drop their seeds and next summer you will have more marigolds! Mine dropped so many seeds this year! Your gardens looks so pretty. We just had 4 inches of snow in Wyoming, fall is short here.

Yes my husband and I were outside one night...we sat out "just for a little while" we said and then that turns into a couple of hours. Ended up taking a blanket and some hot tea. Love the season so much.

I admire your eye for home style. I’m not very good at it, so I tend to just keep rooms clean and plain bc I always say, “Oh I can’t match things. I don’t know what looks good.” Sometimes I’ll try and recreate a look I see, but it tends to just look silly bc all the other spaces are more plain and then one tiny part is super accessorized. 😜
The more you do it, the easier it gets. You may start looking on Pinterest and saving images of rooms you like and then studying them to see what they have in common...

I love being able to mark the passage of time with the changes of seasons. It makes me happy that the seasons of life differ from one another, as they do in the rest of nature. That soup looks so good, I can almost smell it. The pasta dish looked great.

So cozy! The land is looking beautiful there. I had this on while getting some pear butter started for the pumpkin sourdough bagels I have fermenting. The pasta looks wonderful, I will be giving it a try this week. I feel like fall and winter are the most fun seasons for homemaking!
