Hey I’m a see your candy apples are beautiful I have a question if I wanted to do only white apples I can just leave the base color there which is white or do I have to add anything to that? Also if I wanna make the apples black do I use the white base then a black gel color?
Sorry to be asking so many questions but I have an event coming up and I want to make sure I’m doing the right thing also for the gold dust the ones you tagged on Amazon is a smaller container your container looks bigger ,is that the exact product?also for the white coloring can you tell me the exact name (brand)please thank you
Yes that's correct... I only made black apples one time and I used white as a base and they came out a dark purple... So yes black by it self no white base.
The one I used was for decorating purposes. So the item I listed is edible. Brand doesn't matter it just has to be gel food coloring... But I brought mine form hobby lobby.

Hi you don't have measurements for the food coloring . what if you put too much pink in there, would it get darker or will it stay that soft pink color
Do you use any cooking spray on your parchment paper??? I used wax paper, and I might as ell had used papertowel.. It stuck to the bottom... They looked adorable, but I went to package them and "riiiiiiiiiiip".. .I was so disappointed... I'm new to the candy making world, so any tips and tricks that you can offer, I. AM. GAME.
Hello I use parchment paper or wax paper (no spray) and I've never had any problem with the candy sticking to the paper. You may need to check your recipe you may be using too much of one ingredient that's what's causing it to stick to the parchment paper. If you go back and take a look at my other video with Apples I also used a silicone mat as well before.
Hey I used your method but my candy sticks to the Apple however it is very easy for it to slide off. When I bit into it candy pieces everywhere. Is that how it should be😬
Yes I did watch the video and I let the candy get to 300 and remove and let settle until bubbles are gone. How should I store after dipping? I wish I could post how they came out it’s just the sticky candy 🤦♀️
Hi I tried your recipe yesterday and my color came off Carmel like I’m not sure if it’s because the sugar got burned ( it didn’t smell like it )or I did not add enough white coloring in my mixture because I was going for a white candied apple with gold accents . I unfortunately put the candied apple on wax paper and the paper got stuck on the bottom 🤦🏽♀️😩😩I wish I could send a picture of what it looks like but thank you so much this really does work I have to keep practicing because I have an event coming up 🙏🏽

Good morning and great Joe on those Beautiful apples!!!! I have a few questions ... First what's the name of and where did you buy the gold/luster coloring that you added to your mix and lastly did you have to cut your treat bags down or do they come that size?
Thanks so much... there's a baking store near where I live in they actually have the luster there and I cut the bags down once I seal them or put a ribbon on them I cut the plastic down to show the stick.
Does the lemon extract help set? I didn't have the dust so, I tried with AmeriColor airbrush Sheen. 30 mins later, still sticky. I ordered the dust, pray it gets here before my order is due
Hi! Can I just ask what’s reason for/ why you chose the the strawberry flavor? It’s just that I’ve seen quite a few videos on candy apples & everyone has used different flavors (such as lemon, watermelon, and even cake batter)
Hello... That's just my go to flavor it pairs well with the apple to me... But your Welcome to use whatever flavor you like. I've also use Watermelon, Cherry & Grape as well.

Do you have to use the lemon abstract with the gold powder or could I just use water? Ty
Honestly I never tryed water... But the reason behind using the abstract is because it dries super fast.
Using water will make it too thin and it will run if that makes sense
