- Introducing the new Canon EOS R6 Mark II. It is equipped with an in-body image stabilizer, up to 40fps burst shooting, and enhanced subject autofocus detection and tracking that now includes horses, trains and planes. Besides stills, this camera is also perfect for video content creation, with 180p FHD for slow-mo videos, 4K60p with 6K oversampling, and UVC/UAC support for convenient plug-and-play webcam usage.

What price range do you expect ?
i think, most use high MP is just for croping, for print, like 24R, 24MP is plenty, and for me, basicly wedding, some where 20-30MP is much easy to handle and storage. Rather have big MP, i rather big dynamic range. And for video, 4K 60 with no crop and no overheating ? this is really tempting.

It's definitely gonna be a close competition between this camera and Sony A7IV this Christmas.
The only disappointment of this model is its resolution.
I'm hoping a 30 MP model will also hit the shelves in 2023. And please with a shoulder display and sleek design of the original EOS R again.
24 or 40mp no real difference. but this is uncropped 4k 60, the a7iv has 1.5x crop in 4k 60 basically making 4k 60p as apsc. lol

I think the lenses will be the biggest thing that will sway most people. I’m happy to invest in RF lenses over time. 24 mg duel pixel is a sweet spot IMO. Great low light performance, good size files and can still crop in most situations. Topaz do some good stuff for extreme cropping also
It is enough for video..... remember the Sony A7S3 was 12 MP
And it was a high demand video camera....
And the Canon R6 mark ii have a stacked sensor
your lenses are too expensive, please open your mount to Sigma, Tamron etc.
Get an adapter. There are loads
Canon isn't for the weak budgeted. Better stick to nikon

If you already own a R6 and you primarily do video, definitely worth the upgrade assuming you’d trade your R6 in pay the difference. Photography wise…I don’t believe so. Now if you were considering getting a R6, obviously get this unless you’re just wanting to save a little money.

It's a Game Changer for me
Whats about zebra and focus peak at same time in video mode? Since r6 already upgraded? And whats about in photo mode? After 2 year since i got my r6 i decided to change brand because this simple thing can be get in a camera (and whats about warming issue?). No canon. That was the last chance to sell something and get trust from me. I dont care about new cameras if older models cant be fixed. Its just incorrect policy.
How come there isn't a top LCD screen for the settings like all of the Canon DSLRs?
This feature is very important to those that don't need the R5 and R3.

I think I am ready for an up grade from canon m50 apsc....I have adapters for most of my lenses to fit my m50. What do you think? Would this r6 be a good upgrade? My other lenses are (I think they're full frame lenses) tokina 100mm f2.8 ef mount, Canon 16-35 usm f2.8 wide angle, nifty 50 ef mount,
I’d love to know if Canon R6 mark ii lets you record internally to SD card when you connect it via HDMI to an external monitor (like R5 does). Original R6 won't let you record to your SD card when connected to an external monitor. Thanks

I am waiting for the game charger R6 Mark III. Totally every two years is a new canon R6 model.
HELP !!!, which cable do i neeed to do the WIRED CONNECTIVITY FOR EVEN FASTER FILE TRANSFERS ? ( on 2:27 minute) The Canon Camera Conect App suggest : an Anker 514 Lightning to USB-C Accessory Cable (0.9 m, for Camera), which is MFi-certified. But i havent found it yet on Amazon. THANKS

Ok so I own a RP & I shoot with an R, R6 & R5C. Both photos & video. R6 Mk2 looks great but, can you record during live stream which the R6 nor RP can't do. Then there is the over heating within 4mins of 4k 60. Also the auto focus is snappy but at times it tends to jump from one person to another & even to the backround right at key moments now in video yes you can turn it off but I would rather if there was a lock so lets say I tap a person face the camera locks the focus in no matter what or who passes in front the camera. Also in photo mode the camera is always hunting which sent my EF 85mm crazy, like in video mode where you can press the AF button to turn off the auto focus please put it in the new cameras (or if its there I stand corrected). Now another thing on the screen when I go to take off the auto focus in the left hand corner I tend to either tap the shutter or end up putting the focus bracket below which throws off who or what I have in focus so if that button could come up a little bit great. While on the screen there is also the press record button which is a welcome addition how so ever it is to close to the quick menu so bring it down a little bit. Lastly its nice to see all the top youtubers Jared Polin, Manny, Peter, Vanessa, Tony & Chelsea etc etc get the camera to use ofc marketing they have viewers doh all their reviews are pretty much the same. Lend the cameras to real every day people, people who now starting off & have a rebel, people who have an RP etc, people who can really say what they feel about the camera which is also good for business. Oh finally Canon the R5C battery life is 33-31mins in 1080, you all need to develop a new battery even if it's specifically for that camera. The moment you put it on a gimbal & take 2 clips the time it take to change your battery key moments passing & people don't want a work around cause yes we could use vmount battery but it takes a toll. Thanks & a RP MK2 should be on its way with auto focus in 4k no over heating better battery life a rp log like c-log 120 1080, full hdmi port lol... Thanks.

Nope, no stack sensor in R6 Mkii. It's an entirely new sensor for this model and not a transfer from R3.

For a photographer point of view I was expecting a little more! To much hype. At this moment the open of rf mount usage to third-party lenses manufacturers is something that really matters. Rf lenses are great but way too much money!

You only fit in mobile phone camera, not pro camera...mp is not everything.
Higher megapixel doesn't necessarily mean it's better, especially for video.
You clearly don’t know much about photography. 24 mpix is loads. Only scenario it isn’t enough so if you’re an extreme cropper.. Then I’d argue you could buy a longer lens😅
