So happy you got your channel back Nigel. I don't do bonsai myself, but I enjoy watching your videos. Lovely to see what a master can do with some of the plants I have as simple houseplants.
What a beautiful tree Nigel, so happy to be part of the community, and see all the progress of the trees in The Bonsai Zone🌱❤️ it keeps me motivated to improve my own trees. Bonsai made my life so much better
Removing that last branch was the icing on the cake. FrankenFicus is becoming a masterpiece. That view from below really creates the illusion of being under a massive banyan tree. Bravo! Thanks, keep growing
I may have said it before, but I have to say it again. Nigel, without a doubt, You are the best bonsai gardener on this platform hands down. Not because You love plants or have a cool hairstyle, but primarily because no other content creator really shares Your philosophy or attitude towards this hobby or nature in general. In my humble opinion, the right foundation is of paramount importance for any endeavour and can never be changed midway. Whatever one may do, the underlying philosophy and attitude of how one sees things just always shines through. it’s impossible to hide it. So Nigel, thank You again for seeing things so nicely and for sharing your vision with us and leading the bonsai zone by the best example we could ever hope for. Blessings to You brother.
Yes the Ficus will look majestic in your beautiful marble pot, what an triumph that pot is after all your work on it! Humble congratulations, God bless you and keep you Nigel 🙏✝️ ✌️🇺🇦🌻
I think that marble pot fits really well. The tree looks like something you would find growing at the ruins of some ancient Mesoamerican city and the pot will especially fit that theme once it gets a little weathered
So nice to have Ficus Friday’s back! Great job and lots of nice carnage! 🤣 You’re going to get a nice early suntan this year working in the greenhouse. 😀
Gorgeous tree and it almost died! Super excited for your Desert Rose landscape to come....I love Adeniums - can't wait to see your tips, tricks, and techniques...!!!
Must be nice and cozy in your greenhouse - you are working in shirt sleeves. Thata ficus is developing nicely. It will look fantastic in the marble pot.
Hey Nigel! Another great Ficus Friday, glad your account is all fixed, I had commented during that whole fiasco and let you know I finally took the plunge and bought my greenhouse, but I assume you never saw it, so I'm very excited to have that coming in a few weeks and start that long project this spring. Thanks for all of your hard work on these videos, I look forward to them every day. Sounds like you're feeling better as well! Take care.
@@TheBonsaiZone Your videos on the foundation and building of yours really inspired me to just go for it, I'm on the south tip of lake Michigan so I'm hoping it extends my growing season quite a bit. Also hoping the 10mm triple walled polycarbonate is sufficient enough, I just couldn't get a glass one on my budget, I did manage to get a 10x13 with a tubular frame though so I'm super thrilled to get some aerial roots going and get my trees thriving even more! You are truly inspirational Nigel and I am grateful for all of your videos and the amazing input you've given me in the past. Thanks again!
That pot is going to be perfect! Love seeing the decision processes, helps me take an extra minute or two on my own trees! Super excited to see the adenium video, just got one a few months ago and have no clue where to begin 😅😂
It really helped to see the marble pot from your perspective before you carried out any work. I had never thought of marble as an option for a pot - was it a happy find or something you deliberately went for? I remember when you did the original fusion so it is incredible how far it has come. :)
Great work as always master. Looking forward to see the fusion ficus in the marble pot. It going to look amazing! Any tips to get a benjamina to back bud lower on the trunk?
Ha! My first tree was from Home Depot too. Almost five years ago it probably wasn’t more than a few years old. Needless to say, it resembles nothing of what it did as it started off about 5” tall and was almost 4 feet tall at one point before it’s current 8” or so height.
I would honestly pay good money for a cutting of this tree. Good leaf size /foliage density for a benjamina or ficus in general. Kinda jealous. Haven't been able to find one like yours yet at any stores. Either leaves are too big or 'Too Little'
Maybe just a bit disappointed as I was expecting to see the Frankenficus on the Marble Pot by the end of the video… I hope we won’t have to wait too long for it to happen!
Hey Nigel, I love your videos; watch daily. I was wondering, do you have a t-shirt mercy site? Have a good day, brother. I live in Orlando Florida. Not sure how postals are going nowadays
I live in Europe and got some search hit on Amazon on seeds for ficus benjamina. I just took a wild guess from your name and found it on their spanish website. Good luck or look for a very young tree to buy and develop. 😊 I love ficus species, but Benjamina I found have more "temperament" and more sensitive than others😄.
I’ve received weeping fig seeds from Yugen Bonsai Store as a birthday present. You can find their store on Amazon, eBay, or Etsi. I believe benjamina seeds are quite difficult to germinate: none of mine did! The seeds from Yugen are anyway high quality as I’ve successfully grown many blue spruce and zelkova seedlings. I eventually bought a 9cm pot of benjaminas from the Camden Garden Centre (London, UK): there were 3 plants 10-15 cm tall each that I successfully separated and now I’m growing as a forest. In 6 months, they doubled in size: they grow so fast that you can see them growing if you stare at them long enough! That’s why the last couple of videos from Nigel on the Frankenficus are so helpful! Not sure if this nursery ships across Europe: Brexit is a terrible thing despite what some Brits say… you can easily find them on Google!
Hi,I know my comment has nothing to do with this video specifically, but it is the most recent one ,does anybody know a good website,or place to get ficus religiosa plants ,or even seeds? I tried several on amazon but all have grown to be anything but ficus :) .What did i expect. I live in Eastern Europe .Thank you

Missed the premiere again🤦♀️ Frankin ficus is looking fabulous. I remember when you put it together, it's come a long way. Thanks Nigel

I was going for the shock and surprise approach!! Happy birthday Thomas!!
@@TheBonsaiZone thanks again!
Funny how the rescue mission turned into a very good looking tree... I am amazed how vigorous it is...
I like this bonsai of yours because it has an interesting story and history too it which is apparent in its looks
Fabulous ficus Friday
it is nice to see when someone like his tree . That s good. GJ Nigel
I love that you have experimental bonsai. I started a catnip bonsai and goldenberry bonsai.
Nice Ross, no harm in trying, and occasionally you will get a winner!
@@TheBonsaiZone there actually turning out pretty interesting. Have you ever tried working with coleus?
Frankly Fantastic Ficus. Going to look great in the marble pot.
Beautiful natural looking tree
Great tree. Glad to see Tom took up the slack on last week's ficus Friday for you.
Glad to see you back.
Thanks Sam, do you have any Ficus, I don't remember seeing any on the channel?

Cheers to Thomas, in the Netherlands, on turning 25! A toast to you - Happy Birthday from Seattle.
Yes!
The roots are really great looking and the whole tree is massive. A real cool looking tree.
Thanks Tom, I can't wait to see it growing well this summer!
Nice proportions. I do love ficus trees.

Thank you very much!!
Hi. I thought for a brief 90 sec I was “Foist”, but there is a live stream. I’m 80th. But it’s all good. Happy Ficus Friday!!!
Next time!
Spring is coming your way. I just seen another flock of geese heading North. That is about 8 of them.

I ordered the marble pot from China, I've seem many beautiful Chinese trees in marble pots! I can't wait to see the Ficus after a summer of growing!!!
Nigel also spent hours carving the details on what was a completely plain pot,& drilling drainage holes, see vids...
