As a Christian of 37 years I now go out on the streets with my Jesus is Lord banner. The delighted faces of the young people when they see the name of Jesus' is my greatest earthly reward, the young people see something that this world cannot offer . . Jesus is Lord now and always . .

I am fed up though with clergy who turn up, happy to talk about issues like global warming but seemingly unable to share the reality of the gospel. We have a coffee morning once weekly… well attended in our village church… but when the Rector turns up, the opportunity for Christian witness is not taken. It’s all nicey nicey let’s be politey and we roll on to another week. People say she is ‘nice’, and she is… but if even the clergy are unwilling to speak out the gospel, we are in a sorry place in CofE.

I became a Christian in my teenage years , and inspite of the ups and downs of life I have never regretted it . When I look at secular society around me I feel a sense of boredendom and hopelessness , filled in by endless hours spent in front of trashy tv programs and empty discussions which only lead to more despair ...
I listen a little to the media to keep myself up to date on what's hapoening around me , but nothing can replace that wonderful book of all books , the Bible ...And Sunday , nothing better than spending my time in a good Bible believing Church than wandering around some dreary shopping complex ,where you find the same products and shops wherever you travel in the world 😊

I worry about the term Christianity. Christianity generally describes a life style. But we need to follow Jesus, we need to be his disciples and to learn from Him. John 8:31-32 “If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”

I love the quote about what has died can come back to life. It true. I have a plant in my garden it died, it was nothing but a dried up, brown mess that didn't reach my knees but I left that plant in the ground, I didn't touch it. Its now a green, full and reaches approx 10 feet tall. Dried up river beds for hundreds of years are now flowing again. I was always agnostic and I shut my heart and mind to god my entire life but from nowhere I acknowledged I felt empty, life is dull there is nothing for me on this earth and I was touched by the Holy spirit when I realised this and wanted answers from God. He answered me and I promised him I won't deny him again. Once you have been touched by God you cant go back. He is life, he is the way, he is beautiful.

I am sure Christianity is making a come back ,thank the lord. Seeing more church teachings in town centres and many different age groups are taking part in the community services and can see they are learning about our lords words and loving learning about him, and not feeling so lost, our lord is calling us back to him, which is lovely, we need our Christian faith strongly more than ever now ,with so much wickedness surrounding us and harm from terrorist. Our lord will guide us from harm and protect us and follow his teachings for a better way of life. Helping people to return to who God created them. ✝️🕊️🇬🇧🙏

A great video. When this country and the world wakes up and sees Jesus Christ as Lord, the world will be a better place. There is no hope, true peace or joy without following Him who made us and sacrificed Himself when He became human in our Lord Jesus Christ, so we can have a relationship with God the Father and be saved.
Now that is love for you, and there is no greater love.

    God be praised.
Rev. Sir, your message is blessed news. The words of the Bible shall resound throughout the whole world for it is the Lord God Who speaks.
I am a Catholic and have believed that this would happen for since a good number of years behind. For that reason I went down on my knees to pray and offer each day words of praise and deeds of ordinary living as acts of love to Almighty God. I have seen the results happening around the world. I am buoyed and would continue to invite all Christians to rejoice and be glad. The Lord shall open the Red Sea for His People everywhere.
An Anglican Christmas service was the one I first attended. However, the Lord then directed me to the Catholic Church. Have never regretted being the happy recipient of such a wonderful gift.
Arise all Christians, rejoice in our great and holy Faith. The salvation of the whole world is the mission the Lord has appointed us to be the helpers in His Vineyard.
God bless England, the UK, Ireland and all nations that have Christ Jesus as Saviour, Lord and King.

I hope you're right and Justin is right - but I'm very sceptical. Without repentance we're unlikely to see revival, or rather the first sign of the Spirit at work is repentance in His people. While child sacrifice (abortion) is common and the church is silent on it it is very hard to imagine God not setting his face against the land (Leviticus 20). The large number of people who see the inadequacies of secularism and the importance of Christianity, even while not themselves trusting in Jesus, seems to be a condemnation on the church. The fields are very ripe for harvest, but until the church asks why we are so impotent, why the Spirit has not brought about a harvest, why we seem so fruitless, I imagine the decline will continue.

I am not British nor am I Anglican but from what I hear about the Anglican church in the UK I thank God for people like you but I despair about the state of the church because of the wishy-washy "let us try and blend in with the world" actions of the majority of Bishops. The Gospel is the power of God to salvation for all who believe and it is powerful to change lives but the majority of Bishops don't seem to be preaching this.

I was saved in 1975 and have witnessed the move of Christianity away form the teachings of the bible and Jesus. Indeed the bible itself tells us that in the last days the will be a falling away from the faith. Maybe we will see a revival before then or maybe we are approaching the time of the Lord's return.

I don't want to burst Christian bubbles, I read Brierley's article, and I disagreed with it. It was mostly anecdotes from certain elites that Christianity isn't bad. It is not a shift in church attendance and reflects broader trends in culture wars. The only sign of Christian resurgence is found in ethnic minority attendance to church.

REV DAN! Would be interesting if you could discuss just how much you need to believe to return to the church. I now find myself ( after leaving the RC church 20 years ago) feeling that the nominal christianity that you could prsctise there is a very good thing. ie, you could attend and no asked you , " have you been saved" have you accepted Jesus" or such like, I mean there was room for doubts now and then, which we all have. I have been attempting to return to more protestant churches but have been disappointed, feel its failed. To be honest whilst I can totally respect JC and be a " follower" I will never belueve in such as the virgin birth and the ressurection again. So how much faith do you need to return? Discuss !

I was a devout atheist in my teens and twenties. I did a science degree and worked as a scientific researcher. And you're right, I did find things like the virgin birth and the Resurrection hard to swallow, it didn't help that my friends were Christians were evangelical protestants who also believed literally in the Adam and Eve story. I did come to faith eventually. But in order to do so I had to reconsider atheism. If atheism is true, then you must literally believe the universe with all its laws, constants and properties somehow created itself out of absolutely nothing for no reason 13.7 billion years ago (or thereabouts, the number keeps on changing as science gets better). If you can swallow that (I suspect most atheists never even think about it), then the virgin birth and resurrection aren't really that hard. As the angel said to Mary at the annunciation " all things are possible to God".

Christianity has always regrouped through the scapegoating of miniorites. Witchhunts. The us versus them, in/out,sinner/saved. There's strength in numbers...those kind of dynamics are very effective. It's how cults operate. Compare that with “I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.” 1 Corinthians 1:10. There's always a resistance to change.😪 I don't think the problem is atheism or homosexuality as much as the modern superstition, the hocus pocus, the gnosticism. That's your real enemy. Superstitious people have very weak faiths.
There are good and bad people from all minorites, different affinity groups. Learn to know the differences

Last Friday we had an ecumenical service on the town square and it was great but it was about 100 people at most with some bemused onlookers in a town of 15,000. And while I've been enjoying Russel Brand's show on Rumble and love Jordan Peterson's work, they have been hounded out of mainstream media and psychology respectively. Dan!
Howmany times does christianity have to be re imagined.
When you say that you can only reach God by being christian you have to then decide which church is true.
Methodist, catholic, Jehovah witness, anglican and so on.
Then you have to decide which gospel is truer than the other.
Mark or Mathew, maybe Luke or John.
Has there been peace in the last 2000 years?
Has the poor been fed and the sick healed?
Is their evil in the world?
Why does God allow this even when you believe in Jesus?
Should all christians be born without consent and die as theological martyr's?
    No!
What you are saying is live and believe and your mind will continue no matter what pain you go through here because it is God's will and you will smile through it all.
This is why people do not come to church.
Often mistranslation of text leads to false doctrin.
Scrupture is now being seen in the context of the people's traditions, symbolism and knowledge of the time. The perspective changes dramatically.
If you laid out the history of the gospels and howmany varients their are and howmany complete texts have been found and how John and revelation copy the Old testament, howmany of your followers would stop comming to church?

I wouldn’t go quoting Russell brand. Three years ago, a podcast I no longer watch told fans who kept asking for them to get Russell brand on that they would never get Russell brand on their shoe. They said they cannot say why because brand takes anyone to court who mentions the matter, but put it this way, many women have gagging orders from him.
I wouldn’t go quoting Russell brand. Like asylum seekers, he does anything to make himself look “good”. Whatever is fashionable at the time. He tried being a comedian. He was relatively successful. He tried acting. He flipped massively. Now he’s a truth telling youtuber. Now he’s converting to Christianity when other big names have. Come on.
