I love this song as it shows Def Leppard’s respect for women. Unlike rappers who call women ho’s and other metal bands that depict women as sex symbols, DL emphatically said that we can’t live without them. These guys are role models for the music industry.
Got to see them with Tesla Aug.22 1988. Steve Clark was still alive, then! Real entertainers, and drew a sold out show, that contained 75%,WOMEN, WOMEN! BEST LOOKING BABES IN THE AREA,I SURE. LOL GOOD SHOW,IN A GOOD TIME TO GROW UP AS A TEENAGER! WHEW!
What an album, this is one of best opening riffs ever, used to blast it in my car, with all 1000 watts, the song is one of their best! For a man, the one word describes it all..." Women"... "one part love, one part wild... one part lady, one part child"... can't live with them, don't want to live without them... LONG LIVE DEF LEPPARD!! RIP Steve Clark...
I used to love listening to their album Hysteria on cassette tape on my personal cassette player back in the late eighties and nineties. They are legends.
Still rockin the bells to this in 2022! I'm feeling a mighty ass force, sweeping across the miles & wires tonight! Oh, my friends, I can sense your solidarity, right now! Go forth & conquer! Always! Peace out, everyone!🤘🌈🌍❤️💜🌠
This band changed my life too back in 1987, I've been playing guitar since I was 11, I'm still amazed by the feeling and elegant style of playing. Phil, Steve (wherever you are)...thank you...thank you Def Leppard!
Listening to old songs by Def Leppard brings back memories of me & my brother listening to their music. Thanks to my dear brother he's the one who got me into listening to their music. My brother died not too long after the Hysteria album came out. It took me a while to listen to them again but I got back to listening to them. May both my brother & Steve Clarke rest in peace
Def Leppard rocks!! Listen to them every night. Grew up in the 80’s listening to them because my older brother by 6 years would pump up the volume on his set up! Been a fan since.
If this not best metal song written and performed. It's right up their. I am still listening 2019. Def Leppard, I was fan since they were on vinyl. On through the night.
Amid the glut of glam metal guff during the '80s, there stood the beacon of brilliance known as Def Leppard. They owned that decade with only two huge albums and with good reason: they were the very, VERY best of their genre, by some considerable distance. While their 'peers' were trying to write songs that would get into the top 40 for a couple of months, Joe Elliott and company were busy constructing superb confections that would be remembered for years to come. And they have been.
+azapro911 10000% correct. I have seen them live in concert twice, and would pay to see them again. They played for a small crowd during a tropical storm, with the energy of playing in front of a sold out stadium. Damn great band.
One part love, one part wild One part lady, one part child.. WOMEN!! WOMEN!! we cant live without them... Def Leppard Incredible band one of the Best!!
When people talk about, "Who's the best singer or showman?" No one mentions Joe Elliot. Why is voice is strong and has a excellent range. Yes I love Halford etc.. But to me my hats off to Joe. How long has career lasted? I was a teenager listening to Def Leppard. 2018 still listening, till infinity and beyond. I love Def Leppard.
I remember when I found this album in a drawer at home. My dad had bought it like 20 years ago or something and it was still as good as back then! I listened to it so much!
Def Leppard was the first band i ever fell in love with! Their sound is like no other. I was 7 when i first heard the Hysteria album and to this day it is my FAVE DL album ever! RIP Steve Clark...22 years he left this world and left his legacy behind. Forever a Def Leppard fan
just amazing I remember when these guys were hitting the air waves with something so different so addictive... I was fortunate enough to get my license in '85 and cruise around on Friday and Saturday nights with band like def cranked the fuck up.. life was so good
The 80's must have been a great decade! I'm 20 years old but I prefer 80's rock aswell. I'm writing 80's rock myself. I play and record everything, I just don't have professionell equipment, that's why the sound is not perfect. Here's the youtube link to my new song. Not doing this for likes, so don't give me likes but I'm happy for any (ANY) kind of feedback, just in case somebody is interested:) ua-cam.com/video/kqcBnJXSiGg/v-deo.html
I've been listening to these guys since I was 7 years old in '92. They were the only music that existed to me, but now I can fully appreciate the lyrics and music flow. Great memories.
Know one can make music like this anymore, even Def Leppard cant pull it off anymore. I wish the bands today really put as much love, passion and heart into the music as Joe Elliot does on Hysteria. The 80s rule forever.
I was 19 when this CD came out ... Still have the original ... safely tucked away ... my husband and I and our 28 yr old daughter always listen to 80's hair bands ... and it keeps us all young and happy 💞
Steve Clark will always be one of rocks all time greatest guitar heroes as far as I am concerned, alcohol abuse may have killed him but he will live forever because of the musical legacy he left behind.
Joe, Vivian, Phil Rick and Rick kicked major ass in Salt Lake City two weeks ago. I'm still reveling in the afterglow of how AWESOME this particular song was. I really hope they are under an order of protection from above and around for the next TWO decades! I wanna see them at least 10 more times!
@@Janellbird I started High School in 1990, in Darby, MT. My graduating class in 1993 was 26 people. I was the ONLY rocker, everyone else was listening to country music. I got this album from the penny tape catalog put out by Columbia House. Along with "On through the Night"
It’s now finally in 2018 after watching/listening to women, that I realise how good they were. Drummer one arm now, no prob he’s still one of us, beautiful.
I waited almost 4 years for this. Took ages for them to follow up on pyro. I was very happy With hysteria. Hoped it would rock harder but all the songs are catchy and the album worked great. This is one of the better tracks. Love bites-a masterpiece ballad. Gods of war-a true album cut that glues the album tight when flipping the Lp. When I got this in 87 on Lp there was a lot of talk about it being too long for one Lp. Both sides were over 30 minutes. Still have my (March 1988) signed copy and it sounds fine.
I saw Def Leppard in my small Iowa hometown and managed to get Rick Allens Autograph. Pushed my way through 50 hot chicks like a bulldozer to tell him and band members ...I love you man ...been listening to you since i was 12 ...he said. "I love you too Mate" thanks for being a fan......i will never forget it....you should have seen the looks on all these hot chicks faces....priceless immortal memory. Age 47.
I really miss the music from the 80's and 90's. from about '81-'93. Was one of the greatest time to be a teenager, we didn't know how good we had it then.
Hysteria was a masterpiece. Perhaps the best mainstream metal/rock album of that decade. Hit after hit and not a bad song on the whole thing.
Thank you
I love blasting this and the whole album while driving, it just goes so well together
Hysteria its one of the greatest album in rock history, PERIOD!
I would add one more at least to me. Van Halen 1984
Hell yeah the best!🔥 Music enough said
I CAN AGREE WITH YOU ON THAT TOO MY FRIEND HYSTERIA IS THE GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME TOO
The greatest
One armed drummer....... enough said! This was the best era of music!!!!!!!!
Def Lep, Iron Maiden, Metallica, GnR, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, the list is endless. Music today is a shadow of its former self.
Tyler Whisenant i agree 🤟
Yeah it was insane what a tour !
Houston,TEXAS 1993
I hear ya
Now its a 1 finger drum beat
Their stylishly, signature sound, is off the scale of sexiness! Joe Elliott is so hot! Always will be!🤘💜🌍
Def Leppard is so sick.. 1 of a few Rock Bands in the 80s that did it right
At their peak, an untouchable band. Still kicking all kinds of ass too!
You know the band is tight af when the one armed drummer does't get kicked out. Solid band, epic music.

To me. This was the best album of their career. Waited 5 years for it to come out and it was worth the wait
Def Leppard ROCKS ! Always has.. I'm 55 years old and going deaf in my left ear. Too much Def Leppard too LOUD. It was so worth it ! :-)

Best intro to a rock song I've ever heard! I love that riff, it's gorgeous! Melodic and hypnotic- what Leppard did best!

yes very true
I vote this guy for president
Yup your so right about that, they were playing rock and I was playing ARMY. Dam the 80's were great for them and myself.
Ya I woulda been 7-8ish. Them and Guns were the top.
Obviously different styles, but so dominating.
This kind of tune is very tough to find now.
Def Leppard para mí entre las cinco mejores bandas de la historia del rock - histeria una obra maestra !!!
I love this freaking group what great talent they all have RIP Steve what a awesome guitarist he was
Interesting lyrics. After 3 decades, this album still Rocks!

totally agree, has to definately be in the top 5 all time with as many hits that came from this album
Def Leppard is so underrated. Joe Elliot as a singer, showman is the best. I have seen them live more than once and they don't disappoint. 2019
STEVE CLARK WE MISS YOU MAN !
Steve Clark has a special section in Heaven.
The string section for sure!
Who?
@@wayneholmes6460 - go listen to Justin Bieber, because that has to be what you love if you don't know who Steve Clark is.

Great song, and one of the best off the Hysteria album! Pity it wasn't released in the UK as a single! Why not, I have no idea.......
Always loved the guitar solo in the end sounds very cool and goes perfectly with the song.
Oh yes. Brilliant.
It’s Phil’s second solo that separates the men from the boys.
Two great solos in one song.
