What are some of these comments? Oh my gosh that is ridiculous. Do people not understand that there is NOT a "Correct" way to play Wordle? We can all choose to do whatever we want. What are these people's obsessions with streaks? I just don't get it. By the way one of those commenters also left a similar comment on one of my videos when I *slightly went of hard mode. However, they were a little bit nicer with the way the wrote it assuring me they still liked watching my videos. When viewers leave comments like this they need to realize that it just annoys us trying to tell us what to do. Some people seem to just want to criticize everything. OMG ! I wouldn't have imagined such a fuss about the VYING event. It seems so simple to just have fun. Yesterday, I stayed in hard mode and had fun losing. But also yesterday, in French, I was on my way to lose with about 5 possible solutions left after four attempts (traps are often twice as tough in French), and decided to move out of hard mode. And I proudly announce that today, just for fun, I successfully risked a double KAPUT by sticking to hard mode; Here is my enthralling sequence: CRISP READY TROVE GONER LOWER JOKER And guess what: after tROVE, the first word that came to mind was... yessss.... BOXER, but I said Nah ! .. Not interested. In the end, the JOKE was on me.
One should be able to use every feature of the game as part of one's strategy. Coming out of hard mode is one of them (unless you announce hard mode as a rule). Art did the right thing at the right time.
I do agree with those who say why bother starting in hard mode if you are prepared to switch it off during the game - might as well just play in easy mode. I'm someone who always plays in easy mode, so I have no criticism of doing that, it just seems a bit pointless.

Dang, I get BOXER on the first guess for the first time ever, should I expect to get trolled? I’ll be honest, I didn’t think you had it on hard mode, just that you played as if it was on. We all play with the rules that makes it fun for us. My personal rule is that I play connections before wordle. If I win connections I choose one of the five letter words from that for my first guess in wordle. If I don’t win I use a five letter word that meets one of the connections categories. Art, you were really transparent about being alowed to switch out of hard mode and had said that several times before yesterday, so I'm baffled that someone would challenge your integrity because of it. Just for the record, I never play in hard mode and have never gotten anywhere close to your streak.
When I started watching your videos, I may have been rude to you because sometimes I would fail Wordle and you somehow always figured out the right answer, many times very quickly and don't even considering many other possibilities that I did, which was very strange to me. I kept watching your solves and realized that you put a lot of effort on studying the previous Wordle answers and that's why you can quickly figure out and remember which words are still possible. As a non-native speaker, I can't play in Hard Mode, because I regularly don't even know the correct word, I have to look at the remaining letters and test them out, so that my max streak is only 62, having played 312 days. Yesterday you made the right decision to switch off Hard Mode, because unlike myself, you knew many words that could fit the ING pattern and had no letters in common, and as you said, you didn't state you would play in Hard Mode this month. Today I admire you even more because it's an ER trap and you stated 2 more words that could fit with 2 guesses left that you remembered were previous answers, but anyone could get confused in that nervous situation, so that your decision to put your giant streak on the line in order to answer to some cruel people was very impressive. Those comments. 🙄 Blathering of fools. When I saw you were into the ING trap and you started listing the possibilities without mentioning VYING I thought "uh oh, he's about to fail it." What followed was a careful elimination of all the ING options to save your streak. I thought it was an interesting approach and made for an entertaining video, which is the point of the channel. Honestly most Wordle puzzles solve themselves and are mildly interesting to watch at best. This was something different. An alternative might have had you just entering three wrong ING words and ending your Wordle streak, which would not make a more interesting video. It would also make future Wordle videos less interesting for a while since there would no longer be any streak on the line. So good job Art. Don't listen to the nitwits who can't think this through and see that what you did was smart. Some people live to see others fail and can't stand it when that gets taken away.

Thank you for explaining things, Art. I am usually one to use constructive criticism with others when necessary, but I do not do the name calling/attack a person's character. I have complimented and defended you on different occasions. In regards to these games, I barely passed Wordle and had difficulty in Strands not being familiar with many of Taylor Swift's songs. Hints had to be used. I was successful with Connections, but had two misses due to the words, PIXIE, STARRY. As with Wordle, most of you know that I am not a HARD MODE person. Wordle is a difficult enough game and using evaluation words is my forte with tough words. 😎

Thanks, Chazz. I like Doug's approach the best. That's why he's so likeable. He doesn't come across as a know-it-all. Just your typical good guy having fun. The problem is that I went to a competitive school and I work in a competitive industry, and I know a lot of students of mine watch the channel so I have to perform well or else they may scoff at my services.

I got Wordle in 4 with STEAL, BENDY, BIKER, and BOXER. Connections was also very easy for me. I solved it very quickly and was able to get the soda category first.
Congrats on your Connections perfect solve. Able to clear green and purple in that order, then I made one mistake because I never heard of Starry as a citrus soda beverage so I picked PIXIE as a beverage. It was enough enough to correct and pick STARRY instead because then I had a yellow category that made sense.

I watch you get the wrong answer, you'll be freezing cold. Then you slowly get warmer then the penny drops and you get the right answer. It's very satisfying watching you get to the right answer and how happy you are when you get there. I don't care if you stick to hard mode or not. This is your channel and you can run it as you want. You didn't create your channel for haters so don't let them bother you. They might not be real anyway. All you have to do is listen to the people who enjoy and love your content. I did not understand the fuss about going out of hard mode. This types of games are supposed to be fun and entertaining. I have done some of the those "crazy" challenges with you. Fell into the -O-ER trap and lost my streak (hard mode) It's your channel, you play how you want, my comments were not a personal attack, I just don't think the wordle software should allow you to switch mid game. Just a question on you remembering the words… have wordle announced that there won’t be any repeat words (at least until there has to be)?
Wordle has never repeated an answer so far and they have made no announcements about using repeated words.

I watch you get the wrong answer, you'll be freezing cold. Then you slowly get warmer then the penny drops and you get the right answer. It's very satisfying watching you get to the right answer and how happy you are when you get there. I don't care if you stick to hard mode or not. This is your channel and you can run it as you want. You didn't create your channel for haters so don't let them bother you. They might not be real anyway. All you have to do is listen to the people who enjoy and love your content. We might come up with some ideas and changes that might make your content better. But it's up to you, It's your channel. Thanks for what you do and keep up the good work Art.
I did not understand the fuss about going out of hard mode. This types of games are supposed to be fun and entertaining. I have done some of the those "crazy" challenges with you. I did lose on some of the challenges, but I had fun doing them.

Fell into the -O-ER trap and lost my streak (hard mode) It's your channel, you play how you want, my comments were not a personal attack, I just don't think the wordle software should allow you to switch mid game. Sorry if my comment caused you offence, it wasn't the intention. I was disappointed personally that you switched but it's your choice.
BTW Wordlebot shows 17 options for turn 5 (Yorker was an option for Y, an Foyer for F, Gofer for G. There is a HONER in the wordlist - and ummm Boner :s)
