Omg the week one red cabbage seed 😂 Enjoying the video, it feels like experiencing the game fresh again! Hope you continue Some non-spoiler tips: Check the TV every day! Explore some more above the wizard's tower... You can view the community center bundles from your inventory. You'll see the icon to the right-hand side. Pets can wear hats. Birthdays are important. You can buy a calendar from Robin to place in your house to easily check birthdays. Animals eat either one piece of hay, or 2 pieces of grass (or 1 piece of blue grass) per day. They won't die without food, but you'll lose friendship with them which affects the quality of their products and they won't produce until you feed them again. You can place a fence on the broken fence to replace it, no need to destroy it first. Hardwood and iron fences last longer, but technically you don't really need them. I usually don't bother until I can afford iron. You can place farm machines in the coop and barn. The Ranching profession only works for the 'raw' (unprocessed) animal products. You can change your profession later so don't worry. You have insane luck with the fruitbat cave lol.
@@breezieseaz Don't worry too much about the red cabbage seed. It's not important unless you want to complete the community center in year one. A couple more useful tips: You can place certain structures on grass starters to essentially 'trap' them. For example, if you place down grass starters everywhere you want to fence off your animals, then place the fences on top of the grass starters, they'll never go away (until the fence decays). The animals can't eat them but they will continue to spread. Budget-friendly grass spreading! You can also do lightning rods (which is what I usually do). Sashimi is underrated. Related tip - there are several 'universal likes', including many cooked dishes. There's usually some exceptions to each dish but they are generally safer than, for example, salmonberries. Give in to your inner snoop (i.e. snoop around more!). Yes, the gambling wheel at the fair is, in fact, rigged. Green has a 75% chance to win. I'm honestly impressed you stuck it out and got the tokens with the fishing game! Also, it is possible to both 'win' and 'lose' the strength-test game (you'll get a single token if you either hit the very top or bottom). The telephone that you can buy at Robin's is honestly pretty useful, especially if you aren't using the wiki. It allows you to call Robin and view the construction costs for farm buildings. Try to buy all the recipes you see. There's basically nothing in the game that is a "get it now or lose it" deal. It may be season locked, festival locked, location or weather-specific, but there's essentially nothing that you can't get later if you miss it the first time. Lastly, continue to have fun! This is one of my favorite games of all times and it's a pleasure to see a new player explore and discover it for the first time :)
I just wanted to say, I really appreciate how pure and "fresh-react" your playthrough is. Most 1.6 content that's out there, people have already played, so they only react to what's new and otherwise have the standard intense playthrough. Whereas everything is new to you, and it's really sweet to "see" 1.6 through completely fresh eyes. I would love to see you continue this series!
continue, there is soooo much left to experience. Getting 10 hearts with Shane unlocks a new animal, he likes hot peppers. He likes beer too, but I refuse to enable him. His cut scenes will break your heart.
This was so fun and cozy to watch. If you do decide to continue playing here’s an Easter egg. Visit the waterfall near the hat shop on the 17th of spring for a lucky rainbow surprise. :)
I like to play games at a slower pace to appreciate all the small details, plus I don't see the point in rushing on my first playthrough. It would honestly just give me anxiety haha.
Hope ya continue playing, still watching atm so no spoilers. I only have 3 bits of advice to new people to the game. 1 Enjoy it at your own pace, its about enjoyment not completion. 2 kill lots of bugs at start to get the bug skull weapon. Its a great holdover weapon tell end game. 3 condem jojo mart. Everyone in the village > Pierre > jojo mart
1:16:11 next time you see a bubble texture in any source of water, fish in it! It gives you a higher chance of fish. They mostly appear during that specific notice you saw in the bottom left corner! Hope this helps!
Pleaseee continue this series❤️ I love watching you play blindly and not knowing anything about the game, and i can’t wait to see what things you discover!!! Stardew is my favorite game❤️
ahhh i love stardew! this video was a joy to watch. as a seasoned stardew player, i thoroughly enjoy your perspective. it’s always fun to see the game through fresh eyes. i love your love for linus, he’s one of my favourite characters! i’d love to see you continue this playthrough if you so choose!
I just found this video from my reccomendations and its so cozy and wholesome. I've been a cozy causal player of stardew valley since 1.5 and seeing someone not minmax stardew and use the wiki every minute is so refreshing and fun. P.S. your voice is so nice and calming. Im definitely subscribing now
This game is so vast and wonderful, there is so much to unlock and so much I haven't even seen yet (I have around 50 hours in just one of my four save files)
This was so fun to watch you play this for the first time! Little tip! Make sure to check your TV in your house everyday to get more recipes, clues about the town and check you luck and weather each day! Also if you put down some grass on the last day of winter you will get lots of grass for your animals at the start of spring!
This was a great video. If you love birds you'll love the secondary location you can unlock after you complete the community centre. You did amazing for your first time. Can't wait for the next installment
tips; there's increased grass growing on the transition between seasons, so it's most effective to plant grass starters the last day of the season. you can place chests and processing equipment most anywhere! the handiest place to set ones are where you fish a lot and inside that entrance area to the mines, so that you can store relevant things to your dives there. Some people who spend a lot of time will have smelters there too so they can get ore smelting while doing mines dives you can give gemstones to villagers as gifts too! A few of the villagers prefer gemstones to about anything else, so it's worth experimenting with I'd suggest before winter ends, making a lot more quality sprinklers and setting up a grid system so that you don't have to water crops anymore! it ends up saving a lot of farm chore time and if you're not going for maximum efficiency, the amount of sprinklers you can make from the ore you can gather through winter right now is going to be a fine amount of crops to be growing. you can also plant trees outside the farm! I usually plant the trainyard area full of trees to be my main wood-producing orchard, while keeping a more aesthetic permanent grove for tapping on the farm. You can also set tappers on trees around the village instead of just on your farm
just subscribed because your voice over was so nice. It's also a joy to see someone enjoying the game with no prior knowledge! Tip: when you hover over an item, and the little tree icon in your inventory jiggles, it means you need it for the Community Center. Random NPC Like: Sam likes Joja Cola
I don't think I saw/ heard you mention the TV at all, but maybe I missed it. But if not, watching the TV is helpful. You can learn what the weather will be like the next day, learn new recipes, and learn what mood the spirits are in (the spirits' mood affects your luck/ experience in the mines and such) ☺
Half way through and i am wondering if you will ever start checking your luck before entering in the mines! HAHA! I hope you keep going. I have 2,000 hours into this game and just LOVE watching authientic new player gamess where they don't check the wiki for everything.
Red cabbage seeds are only available at Pierre's year 2 summer, so finding them in the traveling cart year 1 is one of the few ways to complete the community center year 1 @@breezieseaz
@@breezieseaz the red cabbage seed is a year 2 exclusive crop, but is also required to complete the community center. experienced players can complete every other part of the community center easily year 1, so checking the traveling cart for red cabbage is essential for more intense play xD not a problem in your playthrough since on a first playthrough it does usually take well into year 2 to complete the community center!
@@amberbydreamsart5467 in my first Playthrough I finished the community center in spring of year 2 because my last item was the rabbits foot. I spent all of winter year one waiting for it to drop from one of the rabbits in my coop.
So nice seeing someone who feels how i feel about the villagers Iike their all flawed yeah but i dont hate anyone, though clint needs to re-evaluate his life a bit(even if it did happen it wont fix it bro)
Not too crazy of a tip but if you click on the 9 things you submitted to the fair you can get them back! Also Sebastian loves frozen tears which I don’t think are used for anything else
Here are some tips... Make hardwood fence it last longer.. If you go over to where the traveling merchant shows up you will see a big log you can break which will take you into the secret woods where you will find hardwood stumps and those respawn every day. Go buy the big chest recipe from Robin and it will help with storage more. When you get the tree fertilizer recipe make it and put it on trees to make them grow faster(only trees it doesn't work on is Fruit trees) Since the 1.6 update grass actually does stay around in winter even tho your animals won't go out in winter so you can cut the grass for hay or if you wanna keep it for decoration you can. Also quality sprinklers are the best until you can get more Iridium(this takes awhile) for the Iridium sprinklers so don't be afraid to make the quality ones trust me not having to water crops saves so much time. Also when you get the option to, I would definitely recommend changing your profession from Rancher to Tiller trust me you will end up making way more money in the end.
