- When Anne Heche passed away on August 11, 2022, it shocked the world.
After reportedly reaching a top speed of 100 miles per hour, she drove her Mini Cooper into the side of a Los Angeles home.
Although emergency responders were able to free her from the wreckage, she passed away in the hospital a couple of days later.
Anne Heche left a courageous, complicated past behind. From standing up for same-sex relationships in the late 90s to an Emmy-winning acting career, she has forever left a mark on modern culture.
Today, we are speaking with Anne’s podcast co-host, and dear friend Heather Duffy. At the time Anne passed, she and Heather had been working on Anne’s newest book titled, “Call Me Anne.” They were weeks away from finalizing it when Anne died. Heather was able to finish the book through the notes and outlines that Anne left behind.

Loved her as twins Vicky and Marley Hudson on Another World for which she won an Emmy! A movie titled "If These Walls Could Talk" about Women and Abortions. It was an HBO movie back in the 90's. RIP Anne Heche.

I am literally in tears. I absolutely loved her. I only like volcano because of her. I had no idea all the pain she was in. Dealing with a mental illness myself my heart breaks for her. I didn’t even know her personally but for some reason I really don’t know why, I have always been drawn to her. I always wished I had her courage not just with Ellen but she just was who she was. I loved her bubbly manic behavior. The way she died makes me sick that she was stuck in her car for so long before they found her and then what happened when she sat up and looked to be at least alive. I thought she had a chance. 😭😭I wish she was still here with us. ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤

Almost one year has gone since that creepy accident,which will never be cleared up regarding its causes and prehistory. Heather saw it as her task and duty to promote Annes last book but in my opinion she clearly avoided talking and maybe thinking about the accident really much! This may be selfprotection and she doesn't want to know more about it. Or she knows more and can not talk about it. Even if Anne didn't want all this things happen,she did! She caused at least one smaller accident before that horrific house crash and she caused a lot of chaos and suffering for whatever reason! This may not be forgotten,even if it makes no sense to blame her anymore. She may rest in peace! But I wish above all her sons and Lynn Mishele enough strength to overcome what happened last year.
They knew she was in the car and they didn't rescue her on purpose! She was murdered. That car was programed to do what it did. People who are drugged out don't drive in a straight line. They swerve all over. Anne was scheduled to be in a sex trafficking conference that week and they wanted her dead.

Anne was drinking and responded to the Ellen tried to cancel you Ann.
Pretending she was blacklisted is ridiculous. People knew she had severe mental illness, and still gave her lots of jobs.
So why did she risk numerous innocent lives? In her little car ride that blew thru a womans house and ruined her life. She was a fucking coward I think!
You absolutely don't know that what she did was her intent or her choice at all. If you've seen the ring cam footage of the car speeding thru the neighborhood right before the crash, you'd also hear screeching screaming brakes that were applied the entire time and the car was fully bulleting down the road anyway. I truly believe, while not all my questions are answered, that her car was having mechanical issues. I don't understand why she drove off after hitting the storage building prior to the accident. I think maybe that this was the first indication something mechanical was not right, but why she took off in it knowing that is a mystery. Part of me thinks because she did have coke in her system, and because she's famous and under constant scrutiny, perhaps she didn't fully realize what the issue was and just fled in panic so she wouldn't encounter paparazzi and be the front page of every media outlet over a minor incident.( the 1st incident, not the horrible wreck) Even though it's been stated she didn't wreck due to a drug induced impairment, she knew if it was made public the worse possible spin would be exactlyhow the media would present it. I due think the drug did influence her negatively though, and into making an impulsive decision to flee the scene immediately, not knowing what really happened to cause her to hit that garage. That's just my theory, opinion, I can't say for certain. It's also possible with her prior mental health issues she had a manic or physcotic episode, also not a "choice". HOWEVER, to call her a coward and to assume she just didn't give a shit about herself or about hurting anyone else is not really kind at all. It's It's pretty narrow minded and makes little sense given the way people who REALLY knew her speak of her. So I'd say there was a great probability something else between A and Z that happened besides B alone....... Like this lady said, we may never know the answers to it all, but thats just it. We don't know. So maybe to just not think the worst is a good place to start, so we aren't all sounding like bitter jaded people that lack any sense of compassion. Wouldn't that make us the very cowardly type of people you're saying she was???? I find that quite ironic, personally. If it were one of your loved ones that you know in your heart would never choose to do such a thing purposely, wouldn't you feel hurt and frustrated by folks stating it as if it's fact???? Just saying, do unto others, its really easier on the mental and physical parts of ourselves to, well, to quote Heather here...... just not be a dick..... Besides, if she did choose to disregard others selfishly, I'd say its a pretty hefty price her and her loved ones are paying. I prefer to leave the judging up to God....
