ADV ride in Tongariro National Park on the 42nd Traverse Track, NZ 2 x DR650's and 1 x DRZ400. Lots of rain, slippery as hell but it b eats a day at work for sure
Yeah we were lucky although raining for 2 days straight all be it a gentle drizzle. Rivers were picking up and yes it gets much higher. Thanks for watching🤘
Nice work DR brothers. Wish I could have been there. The worse things about the modern sports cam is stabilisation. Makes everything look easy and smooth. It doesn'y convey the gradient, the bumps, temperature and feed back on the seat of your pants. I get what you mean. I would prefer to do it winter where most say you shouldn't do it!
Good video. That volcanic ash on the deck is very slippy when wet. Did this several years ago on a GSA with others most of whom were on big BMWs. We had to be manhandled up some of the worst slopes but the heavy BMWs do it quite well - like a tractor.
how long to do the 42nd? a bit of course language but think its makes it honest, not done this yet but on the list, also on a side note, the 2 dislikes must be from harley riders who have never had an adventure ride.
Chris thanks for watching. Apologies for some coarse language....I happen to be a 52year old grumpy bugger who sometimes thinks he is 20 again. The 42nd took us about 5hrs taking it slow and steady, plenty stops. Lovely ride would be better when dry 😜
love the commentary🤩
Holy moly good effort in those greasy conditions! Nicely done, not sure I'd be brave enough to try it in winter :-D
You and me both!
Enjoyed that. Lucky, the river is often much deeper. Welll done.

So true David, even while editing you question why that big uphill doesn't look so bad anymore...haha. thanks for watching
Awesome 👌 see you next around....
Yup looking forward to more adventures, awesome to share this with you and Iwan.
49:01 I dropped my bike in the exact spot last time :p
Yup, nearly done and then this clay rutted uphill for good measure to top it off. Never a dull moment
i did this yesterday on a mtb and man it was hard work
Good effort 👍

Absolutely slippery like grease. The best adventure bike is the one you have. Thanks for watching 👍
