Bible Scholar Points to Eclipses During Jonah's Time and Christ's Crucifixion

- People all over the country are making plans to watch the solar eclipse when it crosses the United States on April 8.
"It's pretty dramatic," says Dr. Daniel Kennefick, a physics professor at the University of Arkansas. "A total solar eclipse is a very unique event because the moon, by a strange coincidence, happens to be the same apparent size, in our skies, as the sun. Of course, the moon is much smaller than the sun but it's also a lot closer and it's precisely the right distance that it blocks out the sun while leaving the area around the sun which means we get to see the solar atmosphere called the corona."
Eight major U.S. cities will be in the path of totality - that's the 115-mile-wide track falling under the moon's central shadow.

It isn't a "strange coincidence" that the moon looks to be the exact same size as the sun from our perspective. The universe is clearly designed. Anyone who can't see something that obvious is blind.
But it’s not always the exact same size from our perspective. The sun changes sizes from our perspective throughout the year. That’s why the sun is completely covered in a total solar eclipse and 91% covered in a annular eclipse.
That the sun is 400X bigger than the moon.

Things are getting worse, that's a fact. Well, we have better ways of documenting all the ways the world is changing for the worse. Now that information is widespread, people know when tragedies happen, it wasn't so for previous millennia.

I viewed a total eclipse from Ellettsville, Indiana. Near Bloomington,south of Indy. All day (before, during, after) traffic was strangely less than normal.
It was a spectacular event. I'm thankful to get to witness the moment of totality. 😮

It was business as usual when we had the total eclipse seven years back and I don't forsee anything different this time around. Last time the temp dropped very noticeably, all the flowers closed up , the birds quieted down , the shadows through the trees were very odd and then ....... everything went back to normal!😊
You haven't been studying the 2 eclipse put together have you and the markings that they make. It actually says something in latin. Look a little closer and don't be caught in the dark. The season is upon us and you're doing your due diligence and studying revelation then you will be Caught! Open your eyes... Read the Bible and study prophecy. We are in this season but we do not know the hour. Now start the 40 days of repentance.

Nobody is saying that he's coming today on the eighth. We will not know the day but we will know the season and this is the starting of the season. The Lord will not come like a thief in the night to believers only unbelievers. We now enter the next phase of 40 days of repentance.

There was no lunar eclipse at the rolling of the tomb. There was supernatural darkening of the sun at the time Christ died, recorded by biblical as well as non biblical ancient sources.
A lunar eclipse wouldn't create darkness.

1.) With Pesach being 2 weeks after new moon: ON full moon there is no option that the moon is between the sun and earth...

What I find insane is schools in East and middle Tennessee have canceled classes for a partial eclipse whilst schools in west Tennessee where we will have 99% totality didn’t cancel them….

April 8 is the feast of the Annunciation, when the angel said Mary would be overshadowed (eclipsed) by the Holy Spirit.

It was dark for 3 hours while Jesus was on the cross. It was not an eclipse.
Correct!! Jesus was crucified at Passover, which occurs at full moon, when Sun and Moon have Earth between them, thus no solar eclipse. Possibly, that would allow for a lunar eclipse, which occurs at night.

The pre-trib rapture is a dangerous DECEPTION. The rapture happens AFTER the 6th seal! Read Matthew 24:29-31 and realize how it is referring to what is also described in the 6th seal of Revelation 6:12-17. Both verses talk about the same event, Matthew makes it obvious that the "rapture" will happen AFTER this event has happened which the book of Revelation says happens in the 6th seal.
How can the rapture happen before the 1st seal if the Bible makes it very clear that the verse "he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." happens after the event described in the 6th seal?
We are not appointed to wrath, that doesn't mean that we wont be on the earth while everyone else has to deal with locusts and sickness.
What about Matthew 24:3-25. Do you really think that Jesus was ONLY speaking to the disciples when He spoke those things about what is to come in the last days and what we need to be prepared for? These words are meant for us believers to know what will happen and how we need to be prepared. Why would Jesus warn us believers of what is to come if we aren't even gonna live through it?
What about the verse "“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains." Why would Jesus tell us to look out for the abomination of desolation if we would be raptured before it even happens?
" Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another." Yet another warning, telling us believers to be prepared to be martyred for our faith.
Do you realize that 90% of disagreement within the Christian faith is people who interpret scripture differently?
You WILL continue to be deceived if you lean on your own understanding and cherry pick verses and interpretations according to your own bias and what your favorite teachers are telling you.
It is true that God removes his children from judgement because we are indeed washed white with the blood of the lamb. Just because God won't express his wrath towards us doesn't mean that we wont go through end-time hardship and persecution.
God didn't bring the Israelites out of Egypt BEFORE his wrath was manifested in the land. Not only that, but the wrath is very similar to what we see in the book of Revelation. The Israelites were in Egypt WHILE the wrath of God was made manifest through the angel of death who killed anyone who's door wasn't marked by the blood of the LAMB.
Would anyone be able to use the deliverance from Egypt as an example that "God always removes his children before judgment" The Israelites were in Egypt while the judgement was happening! They weren't appointed to the wrath, but they went of out Egypt AFTER.
If anything, the story of Noah's ark should show that we need to prepare for the flood to come into the boat so that we will be safe when the flood comes. The Bible also says "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the last days" The end-times will metaphorically resemble the events that happened earlier in the Bible, this does NOT fit with the pre-trib rapture. "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ Isaiah 46:10
Matthew 13:24-30 with the parable of the weeds and wheat shows us how the weeds will be collected in bundles to be burned THEN the wheat (talking about believers and non-believers) "First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.""
You believe that the wheat will be gathered first. That wouldn't be a good thing to believe if you acknowledged this verse which says that the weed will be gathered first.

Yep. It is only going to be seen by a small area, much less not seen worldwide. The signs and wonders mentioned in the Bible will be seen worldwide.
It can’t be shown world wide because that’s not how the solar system works. For example, different countries are in different time zones. A solar eclipse can only happen in the daytime. It could be daytime here and night time somewhere else.
You know most 🇺🇸🇺🇸 people have a superiority complex and suffer from main character syndrome. Christ was crudities exactly during this eclipse. Wow. A lot might be happening. During he was on the cross the thunder went on and an earth quick. And, darkness as well, rain and all this stuff. Sun was gone. People then realized they took the wrong action towards him.
