Al you are such a breath of fresh air. Your encouragement to others is so great to see. I have to say, the slaver chops Bull Dog was a highlight for me here. He was all of the nope about going up that hill haha. Vaping on a run indeed. Vaping???? hahaha RESPECT sir
Ha, really appreciate that! Yeah, that bulldog did not have the commitment I was looking for! Clearly don’t do hill sprints often enough. Although… neither do I!
Bloody cracking video Al, as much as it hurt so much all I want to do is do it all over again, major post ultra blues! Thanks for the shoutouts, I was well in the pain cave just over an hour behind you but we got there in the end! Absolute pleasure running with you guys. You lot smashed it! 💪👌
Loved part 2 Al. Great video. Your energy was still strong/positive to the end! Nice to see. I was getting ptsd flashbacks as you were nearing the finish 😅 Those last miles are toughhh! Look forward to the next video
Mate, not done a distance even close to this but I always get a bit emotional watching folks crossing the line after doing a challenge like that. Absolute legend.
Well done! It was good to tag along with you all for the last couple of miles. I honestly thought with the amount of folk I’d chatted to over the course of the day, I thought all would have finished well before me but it was such a morale booster when you lot appeared.
You too and huge congratulations! Ultras are strange like that, you often can’t tell exactly where you’re at in the pack or quite how well you’re doing!
Thanks Brian! It’s a really accessible event, lot of support at checkpoints and the cut offs are generous. It’s just the distance and time on your feet that’s the big tester!
I love your enthusiasm
@@GTE_Channel thank you! Appreciate it!
Well done indeed-great film and a cracking achievement

Solid weren’t they. From Ovingham back home was tough in the dark. Ha, I did have a few low / grumpy points mind you!
Well done Al. Another epic run 💪. I’ll have to add The Wall to my ultra bucket list ✅ 👊🏻
Cheers Ian! Yeah, good idea. You’re a great runner too, think you could smash a brilliant finish time out!
Great Video(s). Huge Congratulations on finishing!!
@@deshall1885 thanks Des! Appreciate it!
Wonderful effort, Al. And what stunningly beautiful scenery. So different to anything we have here in Australia.
Thanks Neil! That’s probably because of the constant rain / sunshine mix. We get all four seasons in a day! If not quicker!
Mate, not done a distance even close to this but I always get a bit emotional watching folks crossing the line after doing a challenge like that. Absolute legend.
@@dougspeirs thanks Dougie! You meet some absolute warriors at events like this one! Really inspirational!
Great running Al. Watching that brought back some memories (and some parts I must have blanked out), hope the recovery is going well!

I get a cameo attepting to fill me bladder at the CP at 50 mile - a task that I ballsed up every time. Well done Al
Haha, class. It’s always a struggle! Although I actually did well this time around - the pack helped for sure.
Brilliant mate , well done , makes me want to do it next year 😮

Epic job weldone !

Well done Ai
Ive done a few 100k ultra so i know how you are feeling.
A few?! Wow! Well done Selina! I’m feeling better now though… planning my next adventure!
Amazing how far you can run powdered only by fist bumps.
Haha, they’re better for you than electrolytes! Nearly 20 hours of that stuff is enough for anyone!
did you get your free ice cream at hexham???
I got a token but just didn’t feel like it! Can’t remember what I had actually! I remember a cup of tea for sure!
Ah this was exactly what I needed this evening, as covid has stopped play. :( Well done on an incredible achievement!
Ahh, sorry to hear you’re not well! If this helped in any way though - I’ll take it! Thank you so much!
22 minutes… was that missed in the editing or just showing good ultra Vaseline use? 😂 🍆🥜
Haha, I’ve only just realised! Russ clearly needed to apply despite me doing a bit to camera! A true ultra runner!
@@AlPepperRuns just adds to the gritty realism 😂
@@ikampbush1722 jokes aside, it does, doesn’t it. Chafe can lead to many a DNF! I carry body glide on all my long runs!
