Big respect to the little yb. I remember owning a fsie and drooling over one of these. Then I lost compression on my fizzie so my dad an engineer bored it out to 80cc put a new piston in and it would trash all mates mopeds. It would cruise at 60 if no hills. When I sold it I could have sold it 10 times over due to its “extra performance” 😂😂😂. Am 64 now and still remember those times. A tank of fuel for 45p and a shot of red ex 10p - yes true
Good thanks so much for watching - `If you enjoyed these you will enjoy even more my trip to Ireland on the same bike last year mostly in the pissing rain - go to my playlists and feel free to watch !
Then look out for it on Monday 3:00am UK - most of it is "real time", some is double speed but, remember, when I am doing 15mph, double speed is still only 30! Don't want people to get bored. You will notice the different!
Well done, and also to the little Yam. Done the trip from Malaig and Ben Nevis. The scenery is absolute mind blowing. Congrats on your journey, it was epic to watch. Now go and find a comfy cushion to sit on., don't forget the glass (or 2), of single malt.
Well I’ve just had a good dam soaking made me laugh. Superb set of videos Rob I’m riveted to em thank you so much for posting them must take you a fair bit of time and effort I for one appreciate as I am sure do many others.
Well it takes me about 5 hours per 30 minute video - have to savagely edit out stuff. If you enjoyed these you will enjoy even more my trip to Ireland on the same bike last year mostly in the pissing rain - go to my playlists and feel free to watch !
It was thick in cloud when I did this in May earlier this year I rode it with 3 other biker pals, we could hardly see each other never mind the views you enjoyed. A complete contrast to the previous day’s sunshine when we rode the Pass to Applecross Congratulations on achieving your goal 👏👏
Not a problem being childish, rude people need to be told. I'd have also booted the wing of the car that nearly took you out when you entered the carpark. Anyway, planning this tour myself before years out of weather ever improves, or next May June. 👍
Excellent effort, from you both, the little yb sounds great by the way, watching your vlog has inspired me to return to the highlands ,I only did it in may😁. Great vlog throughly enjoyed following your exploits, 👏👏👏.
Really enjoyed this mini series...feeling inspired..would love you to do a costing episode so folk like me on a budget could get an idea of costs..cheers
Now you asked I thought I would at the end of the series - I was spending £100 (12 days) a night on accommodation - some more some less - eg the Applecross was £200 ON saturday night but less other nights. Food and beer another £30 a night, Fuel @80mpg about £150 over 1750 miles, oil say £30....so there you are I've worked it out £1740ish? Variables would be you can choose your accommodation, eat and drink more or less than me, the fuel consumption of your vehicle, the number of miles you ride to get there!
Rob another great film. Loved it. I have taken every bike I've owned over the Bealach na Ba. So interesting you met Mike (yodagoat) who has another of my favourite UA-cam channels. That was quite a journey you did on your wee bike. Far more interesting than done on a big bike.
Yes indeed, I took my 1959 BSA C15 over it at Easter - ua-cam.com/video/Fgm_PKhdAT0/v-deo.html Unfortunately I have fried the electrics and it is out of action just now!@@RobLittleuk
You had better weather at the top of the pass than I did, but I had sunshine almost all the way down. I am another who does not care for Fort William. Looking forward to the next episode, I rode Glen Coe and Glen Orchy maybe a week or two after you did. I have never been down Glen Orchy before.... what a treat, although I'd love to see the river in spate, it was nothing but a trickle when I was there and was still impressive.
@@RobLittleuk I was taken aback by how horrible Fort William was. I'll admit I was there on a Saturday but given the nature of the country all around it, I was expecting a buzzin Highland Town... whatever I thought that was, Fort William wasn't it. Like a hot spicy curry, I passed through as quickly as possible.
@@neilmackinnon3371 Ironically you should have stayed for the curry - the best bit about the place. Its odd that some people seem to think the place is wonderful. The setting my the loch certainly is and Glen Nevis, leading up to the mountain is beautiful but FW itself is an utter disappointment - even had it been a tourist town like Pitlochry it would have been find but it just seems sad and down on its luck.
I droned Eilean Donan castle, need to put it online. midges dont bother me, must be the scottish blood, they are the scots weapon against the invading Sassenachs, thats why they like you! good route though, need to try that one. Well done!
Thanks, Rob - another nice ride, even though I was leaning so rapidly into the corners over the Pass that I almost got dizzy! 😊 Would you believe that Stanier Class 5 loco as you came off the ferry is older than either you or I? It was built by Armstrong Whitworth in 1935, at their Scotswood Works, Newcastle-on-Tyne. Re the snow, at least you were able to see Ben Nevis in something of it's glory; on my only visit to Fort William the mountain was completely hidden by a cloudbase at around 200 foot.
Last year when I visited the Eilian Donan castle the car park attendant was watching the bikes parking and if you did not buy your ticket you got one of his as a couple of big touring bike riders found out when they got back. He was actually making a point of guiding the bikes in then watching to see if you paid so be warned. To visit the castle itself costs way too much for just being able to get close and take your pictures but luckily the café and toilets are there to make up for having to pay to park after all it is a 007 tourist trap so gets lots of customers.
There's a café in Ft William called Macari's. I want to go in there one day just to ask "Do you mind if I use your loo, Macari?" (That's, like, a 70s joke by the way.)
A good view of the castle can be had by taking the 'old' road over the hill rather than the new road next to the loch. The road is only 4 sheep wide and was used on some of the shots on the TV comic police series Macbeth.

Yes it is a shame we had the downpour in the night but I still thought the cloud added to some of the shots?
Love the route across Skye 😊
I love the look across the sound to that little house all on its own.....I have stood there and wondered many times in the past !

Ok ok I will join the sweary @yodagoat appreciation society. His stuff is good but assume he does not have a wife to restrain him?
Well done m8 . Great effort😊

Not doing bad to get round Scotland and only get a bit of rain.
