• STORY OF OUR PET CROW
I'm amazed at how quiet your crow is while your dog sleeps. I wish all people had that manners
Peach is sometimes very talkative. It was late evening and he was getting ready for bed :-) Thanks for watching!
I love love love birds. However I really LOVE CROWS and RAVENS.
We also love all birds! Thanks for watching!
I THANK THEE FOR THY SERVICE
I THANK THEE FOR SHARING
YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS BEYOND MEASURE
ONELOVE BELOVED ONES
My theory is, that when it happens that a crow is living with humans together, they can develop their true intelligence (similiar to us humans, which in a good environment develop culture, starting writing and reading books and so on). Part of this is that the pet crows always invent "tasks" which are then very important to do. Our Hugo, when he lived with us liked to unroll a bog roll, but then folded the paper to a pile. Or he liked to sort my screw anchors which he first disordered (first he watched for a while very interested that i did the same for my tool box). Thank you for this wounderful movies!
They really are amazingly intelligent birds! Peach really likes it when we throw little things for him to catch. We use wine bottle corks as they are light and easy on his neck. He could just endlessly catch them and then drop right in our hand, so we'd throw them again! Thanks for watching our videos!
Crows are so smart. I'm glad u have lots of things to stimulate and entertain Peach. I just found your videos and I can't get enough of them.
That's great to hear. Thanks so much for watching them too!
How awfully sweet
Thanks for watching! It was the dog's toy rope pieces that Peach was trying to make even into smaller yet pieces! Thanks for watching and commenting!
A pet Crow, never heard of that before!! Very, very cool. Great video.
yeah my wife rescued Peach last June while we were in Calgary Alberta.
Thanks
A wonderful video . Crows and Ravens are very intelligent birds . Kassie seems very relaxed , although Peach is very busy .
Maybe Peach wants to start a family and build ever a nest . :-)
Yes crows and Ravens are very intelligent and Kassie and Peach have known each other for a year now.
Beautiful
Crows are so cool. Had 2 nest and have 2 babies outside my apartment patio area 2 years ago. It was really fun to watch it unfold over the season.
They are really smart.
Pigeons are really dumb, seagulls almost as stupid. Lol
I see ravens where I hike alot. they are very interesting too. Love the way they fly and invert themselves. And their calls are fun
Thanks for watching!
I would love to see the dog have the same freedom in the house!
Kassie is free in the house during the day. It was almost bedtime and Peach got busy playing, so we filmed it. Kassie was already done with the day. She is very content sleeping in her own little bedroom.
You have two dogs now, one with fur and the other with feather
I have a crow we rescued last may named Mickey, he's a handful and has free roam of the house but he stays in the living room, he wasn't as young as yours but not by much acts like a 2 year old much of the time lol
Peach is quite a worker-----And Kassie seems really tired! :)
Thanks for watching this older video, Ruthann!
@@chv72 Is fun to go back and see the changes your fam has made! :)
Listen to his little claws clattering on the counter top! LOL!
Sorry I called her a "him".
Yes, that's so cute! Thank you for watching our videos!
:-)
Thank all of you for taking the time to put these wonderful videos here for those of us who do not have Crows or Ravens. Someday maybe?
Thank you for watching our videos! Yes, crows and ravens are truly adorable creatures!
Thank you Dennis! Very helpful information. ♡
You are welcome!
Keep an eye on him because thin strands can come loose and wrap around the toe,
causing necrosis and then toe death.
We never leave Peach alone with any strings as we are worried they could wrap around his neck. For that reason we never hang any toys in his cage, so he has to come out and play as we keep the door open when we are around. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Crows literally fascinate me...As a matter of fact, I've never met one I didn't want to have a conversation with... (*\/*)
Yes, they really are amazing birds! Thanks for watching!
I've been feeding 5 old crows for 20 years. I assume it's the same ones because they are here every day, and there's always 5. They are terrified of me, and I have never let anyone scare them. They watch me fill their feeder, and watch for me to leave them venison, fish and scraps, but if I am anywhere in sight they won't come in.
Yes, they could be very loyal! Thanks for watching our videos!
You need to put some carpet on top of that book shelf!
Yes, it is slippery for him to walk up there but he doesn't like walking on carpets which is good as carpets stay clean :-) Thanks for watching!
try rubberized drawer liner or a thin rubber door mat cut to fit :)
grytlappar i would worry his claws could get caught in the carpet ...
When I was a child, we had a pet crow as well. He loved tucking food in between the pinch pleats of the draperies and he sometimes liked to find shiny things and hide them.
Awesome video. Peach is sooo cool! Maybe he was trying to make enough bedding for a big nest he plans on building for Cassie... lol.
:-)
haha yeah maybe...
Zeus The German Shepherd
I'm already subscribed. Zeus is a cute pup.
:-)
He has very fun with all this stuff! Is this Peach and Kassie? I have never seen this one before! Only now it was recommended from UA-cam for me! It's a big help when I miss something! 😊
Glad to hear that UA-cam is recommending our videos to you.
Great video! We have one, 16 years old now. He has a heavy molt in the fall every year. What do you feed Peach?
Thanks for watching! We feed Peach soaked high quality dry cat food, also fresh fruits and cooked vegetables, hard boiled eggs, un-processed cooked meat, soaked nuts and seeds. Peach himself compliments his menu with spiders whenever he finds them.
I think he's trying to make a nest for the dog
Crows are pretty smart in general
You are right, they are very smart. Thanks for watching!
If I were your neighbor you'd hate it cause I'd always be over wanting to hang out with Peach and your GSD .
That would be nice! :-) Thanks for watching!
Can you share the things you recommend feeding a crow? Also what things to avoid feeding them?
Crows could be fed soaked cat and dog kibble, oat flakes, corn, cooked rice and wild rice, cooked cauliflower, hard boiled egg yolks, soaked unsalted nuts, whole grain bread, any unprocessed meat (vet advised us to cook it but raw beef should be fine, too). These are the things we feed Peach. We also buy him freezer dried meal worms and crickets, but these should be given only a little at a time and other food before and after since too much of these could clog their system. They love those things and could easily eat too many at one sitting! We were told avocadoes should not be given to crows and, of course, no salty or sweet things. Otherwise, they are eating pretty much anything in the wild! If you wonder about something specific, if it is good for crows, feel free to ask as we might know from personal experience with feeding our Peach! :-) Thanks for watching our videos! PS: Do you have a crow or you want to feed wild crows?
What a delightful video! I think it's wonderful how you let Peach out to have some freedom. No boredom for this little feathered friend! I thought it was so funny when she was slipping on the smooth counter, almost like she was tap dancing hahahaha!
Yeah, that was a fun video! Glad you found it!
I enjoy watching this old video.. Two geniuses - one at work.. The other taking a power nap! Being a genius is very tiring! 🛌😊
Peach looks like she's shredding the rope pieces for nesting material. When she stuffs some under the lamp it seems she might have picked that for a nest site? Has she gone back to putting more stuff there or spending more time there?
We just found out last week that Peach is a boy. Peach hangs out here all the time.
That is good....thanks for explaining so civilly! Bless you.
Your pet crow is so cool!
Thanks for checking it out.
I seen you sub. my channel so when a person does that I have to help support a new friend's channel, Thank You!
I absolutely love watching your videos . Dennis ,you and your lovely Lady are very sweet and caring people. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching and a very nice comment!
hi I have been enjoying watching videos on your channel with my husband. in fact, your videos helped us make our mind to buy a german Shepherd puppy. you two look really happy with Kasie. By the way , can I ask you a question ? how long did it take for your dog to be house trained?
Thanks for watching our videos. it took about a couple months if I remember correctly.
thank you for your reply :)
It is normal for a pup to have an occasional accident in the house up until the age of 6 months and even beyond. Just try to make a good guess about when your pup really needs to go out and then let her out immediately! That way they learn to always do their business outside. :-)
Beautiful bird and wonderful video. However I hope you don't leave Peaches unattended with all that thread. It would be too easy for her to get her little feet entangled in it, and then she might accidentally get hurt. Not trying to rain on your parade. It was just a concern I had while watching her. Everything is fine as long as you are around to observe the action, Love.
Thank you for watching and for your concern! We are very careful with Peach and scared to even let him play with very small objects thinking he (or she? :-) might swallow them accidentally. Vet told us though that they puke out anything that doesn't go down and we have seen that happening (extra fiber from food, pieces of wood, etc), so we've been more relaxed about that. We never leave him unattended with any strings as these could get wrapped around his neck.
Yes, Dear, that too...the string around the neck. I was trying not to be too graphic, but with our animals, care and observation are everything. I can tell you really love your little bird. We do too, Sweetie! Enjoy every day you have with her. She is a real heartbreaker! We all want one of our own now.
Yes, crows are such fascinating birds and our Peach is so sweet :-)
bird looks like he could use a nail trim
You are right! Peach needs his nails trimmed. We'll do it soon. Thanks for watching! We have one video from last winter about his nail trimming, it's called Bird Wants Nails Trimmed.
Its amazing how a busy mind needs to keep busy. I'd love to adopt a crow or raven.
That's right! He keeps always busy inventing all kinds of games for himself! When he runs out of ideas, he comes and sits on our lap to be petted! Thanks for watching, Mike!
Hi I love watching your videos. Where did you get that gate for Kassie and has she always slept there? If so how did you work with her to make her not want to sleep with you?
Thanks for watching our videos! We ordered that play pen online when Kassie was a young pup and needed to be restricted. She is used to sleeping there as she considers it her own bedroom. She goes there herself when it's bedtime. We never allowed her to sleep with us as this habit is hard to break later. We make exceptions only when we are travelling with her :-)
Dennis F thank you so much for replying I'm going to search online and see what I can find for when we get our pup.
PEACH is wonderful!!!
Holding a crow is on my bucket list. I love them. How do I get one to trust me. I live in Victoria BC...lots of crows. Does yours talk much?? I love the clicking sound they make.
awesome vid ! it´s always a pleasure to watch Peach ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a great dog, but I would not keep him in a cage.
We do not keep her in cage at all. She just sleeps in this area by habit since she was a little pup.
Busy little thing. Does peach sleep with the dog? 😊
When Kassie was little, her kennel was right next to Peach'es cage. Now their sleeping places are further away from each other but when they are both free to roam the house, they stay together. I'm sure Peach would sleep right by the dog's side but we always put Peach into his cage for night. It takes some convincing first but he actually flies there himself when it's bedtime!
He is a Good Birdie!
❤❤❤
Very Cool!
The claws seem a bit too long?
Peach gets his beak and nails trimmed a couple times per year. This video is from a couple years ago and probably was in between trims.
Peach back home? No more bird rehab?
Peach did not get along with other crows there as he had become imprinted on us, so we had to bring him back home. Thanks for watching!
how do you guys deal with peaches droppings?
Peach'es droppings are quite predictable as he likes to stay in certain areas in the house, so we put newspapers under where he is perched. Thanks for watching and commenting!
People ask me the same question all the time about my dove, who flies free in my apartment. The answer is very simple. Uh, we wipe it up.
I recently became infatuated with these awesome birds. I can't stop watching videos about them. I want one so bad. lol.
super interesting. So much enjoyment from just watching them examine and process their surroundings. figuring stuff out for themselves. I can't get enough.
it's a very busy crow
He sure is!
I'm new to your videos today and already a huge fan. I love Peach and Cherry so much. 🐥❤
