Im no expert but I can tell that the condition of the bots are jank. Masks are probably melted, seems like an air hose (which moves some parts like arms or hands) is leaking profusely, the eyes dont sync, etc. It would be nice to fix them up or put them in a museum of sorts (like in a glass panel view of the show) and be able to do maintainance checks frequently while being able to play to the public in a museum/exhibit sense...
I remember for my 17th birthday my friends tricked me into a surprise party at Showbiz. It was one of the last Showbiz Pizza places left. It was in 1989. Since my birthday is in July, all the songs they played were patriotic. My mind's eye still conjures up the big gorilla keyboardist singing " I'm proud to be an American " by Lee Greenwood. It was too funny and we had a grand time. I miss those animimatronic monstrosities. Now my own boys are too old to request Chuck E Cheese as a birthday venue, and there is not an animimatronic band to be found.
Angela Adrian That’s such a lovely story. And it makes me sad that animatronic bands have become obsolete. I really wish Disney would bring back the animatronic bands since their theme parks have proved they’re capable of making astonishing robotics. Maybe take the bears from Country Bear Jamboree and put it in a Chuck E Cheese type place. Just an idea.

They've obviously been neglected since Creative Engineering cut ties with Billy Bob's Wonderland. It's incredibly sad.
Aaron says how he has to replace the masks because they lose shape, and this proves it with Rolfe at the start pushing up his nose. And duke doing what moody little kids do
these are prety much the decaying corpses of the rockafire explosion i cant believe how terrible they look. here watch this video this is how they should look /watch?v=t4aIblRt72g
Apparently, the reason this specific animatronic set is so disheveled is because the owner and the creator of the animatronics and the band concept, Aaron Fechter (also created Whac-A-Mole!) The owner of this location hasn't been contacting Mr. Fechter for help and maitenance as a result, though I don't know the specifics of the fight. There are so many of these shows that are still in good condition, thankfully, but they are private or in other countries (Mr. Fechter's own company has one complete band left for sale for about 10,000 dollars in perfect condition, for example!)

In a weird way, I think it's kind of rad they still have the show up and running considering its condition lol. I believe the creator, Aaron Fecter went out to help restore this show a few years back, but the condition of it was worse than he thought. I was born in 85 and my sister was born in 81. We both have pictures of all our birthday parties being at show biz pizza. If you never experienced show biz pizza as a child and then watched it disappear into a big rat...you wouldn’t understand why the animatronics being old, DON’T MATTER to us. The fact that they’re all there, means everything to me! I’m calling my sister and we’re gonna take a family trip here!!🤗🤗🤗
I grew up on the Rock-a-Fire Explosion and The Masters of the Universe. So sad to see the Explosion in such bad shape here. In the documentary, there are many people who own a complete Explosion in working and pristine condition. The creator of the animatronic band also has his own channel where they perform with new music. An awesome experience to witness on UA-cam. Thanks Jacob for documenting this.
I grew up going to this billy bobs. I'm so sad the anamatronics are not working properly. I wish they would fix them up. I always loved watching the shows at billy bobs. If you're in This area you should go to Camden Park it's a little amusement park in the west end of Huntington West Virginia.
I love Camden Park it is AWSOME of you are reading this in 2018 that's when I went I might be going again but Camden park has been there for over 100 some years
I’m so glad these later got totally fixed. I’ve seen worse bots at actual Chuck E Cheese locations in the 1990s. Any neck or body movement would be jerky and send the entire figure rocking back and forth, and by the end of each show, most of the figures had the backs of their heads popped open and flapping around, except for the one that just plain didn’t work. In comparison…
Showbiz Pizza Channel In Staten Island we had a RAE but it was so decrepit and terribly maintained. Eventually they stopped them playing as a show in around 2008-2010 and just put two of them in display cases near a jungle gym. The gorilla didn't even have a face, which was kind of terrifying as a kid 😂. Eventually they were GIVEN FOR FREE to a collector on the Island. I believe he is Jo King is his UA-cam.
Well there's the Rock Afire bar, Bear A Dise, a public show in a restaurant in Canada which is almost a BBWL 2.0, and show performing publicly in Ireland.
wow, this brings back wonderful memories.. but, when I had my son's bday party in 1988 or 1989 in Hackensack, NJ, Mitzie BLEW UP!! We grabbed our pizza and drinks and hit the parking lot whilst the building was on fire!! Now that building section is a restaurant. And my son's friends are left with memories of the last time Mitzie sang! And thank you for bringing Billy Bob to youtube!!
This honestly made me cry because hurricane is basically my hometown all my family lives there but that was where they would take the kids its just sad they dont take care of amazing stuff
Me and my friend had to make a animatronic for my brothers collection and now if I see animatronics that aren't taken care of its just, really, really sad.
i feel so bad for all of these characters, they really don't deserve this. one ones that make me the saddest are dook and mitzi. they look so sad and scary. they need to be repaired.
OMG! Showbiz Pizza Place in Southland Shopping Center in West Mifflin/Pleasant Hills, PA was my first job after high school in the early '80's! I remember Billy Bob, Beach Bear, Mitzi and Fatz very well. l wore that Billy Bob costume hundreds of times.....for the birthday parties in the store, Children's Hospital, radio promos, a few places with Pittsburgh's indoor soccer team, Pittsburgh Spirit....and what a bunch of jackasses they were. This video brought back lots of memories
Not sure how this appeared in to my suggestions.... But it brought back memories from 25 years ago in Flamingo land, Scarborough in the UK.... Where I saw this for the first time.
Coming back to this video and seeing them now is very weird because they are actually fully restored now it looks great I recommend going back if you can to see how good it looks
OMG I thought I would never see these animatronics again. I was one of those kids who saw them when they first appeared. Ive read all these horrible remarks but in their day they were great! Thanks for bringing them back!
+The Carpetbagger DEFINITELY NOT THIS ONE. I know a lot of people THINK that they are experts on the show but one persons opinion is an opinion but a lot of people are to hard headed to open their minds and realize that Billy Bob's Wonderland saved The Rock-Afire Explosion.
+LukaTronic You are correct. CEC used the same mechs on different stages and switched masks and costumes. I know this for a fact because I worked at Showbiz and CEC in the same building and we swapped out the entire band, stage carpet, and costumes over three nights after the store closed for the day. +Showbiz CEC You are right, this isn't the worse shape the band could be in. I heard a few bushings and Bimba air cylinders squeaking but this is common. +Bojangles True. This place keeps a legend alive. The reason they seem twitchy is their Zeeks air dryer isn't quite working up to par, and some moisture is in the air lines.
I've been to this place. As a huge fan of Show Biz pizza I made a U turn when I saw the sign for this place. It was really sad to see how bad these characters look and how much repair they need. I wish Aaron Aaron Fechter could get a chance to rebuild these characters. You should visit his place down in Florida. He seems like a really nice guy with lots of stories.
Aaron went there and tried to fix them up, but the owner named Rex treated Aaron so badly and threatened him with violence. So Aaron immediately took off and never went back there again.
So sad to see them in such condition. In Valley Stream, NY when I was 16 (1996) I worked for a place called Funstation. (Imitation Chuck e Cheese) Somehow I ended up becoming the one who had to maintain and fix their Rockafire Explosion set up. I still to this day never forgot the controls. It would have a touch menu that would lead to different shows. Yet, keeping the figures in one piece was the hardest part. - Funny memory: Once when the kids were eating their food in the room with the band, the bear's jaw unhinged and almost fell off. All the kids ran out screaming. lol! I quickly screwed it back in as fast as I could but the damage was done. Poor kids.
These exact characters were at a party place on long island, where I live called the Fun Station. They were taken out a few years ago. They creeped me out as a kid.
When I was younger my brother actually had a record or the Rockafire Explosion. I'm almost certain it is still at my parents house. It was basically the actual voice actors singing popular songs.
Omg I was freaking out when they were singing thriller for Michael Jackson I was so happy 😁 omg I was so impressed with how they worked and talked and sang and stuff omg!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had my birthday every year at showbiz in Memphis and was terrified when Billy Bob came out to sing happy birthday to me! I got my self stuck in a metal chair some how, trying to get away from him and they had to cut me out! No bull shit. Such a great time to be alive back then.
+crazydogladynikki - Couldnt agree more! What child is going to not only recognize but also understand what moonshine is?!? I truly enjoy these videos, but OP may need to relax a bit... To each their own, but this seems to be overkill. Cheers!
Its physically impossible for an animatronic to go through a human's skull or skin.1) As said above, the jaws aren't strong enough 2) Most animatronic teeth are part of the mask, and most masks are made of something soft(not sure what it is)
I saw a video put up by the creator of the rock-afire explosion showing Mitzy's valves. Her valves are leaking water, and the same is most likely the other amimatronics. The costumes need some serious cleaning, and the various moving parts of the amimatronics need restoration or replacement. This is sad to see this kind of disrepair, especially with beloved characters like these. I only hope they can get repaired soon.
when i saw cee-lo green a few years back live in vegas he had a band of animatronics like this for part of the show but they were in imaculate shape and looked great!
If i owned these animatronics, i would give them a new chance and repair them and create new masks and stuff, after that i would create a tortilla diner. Its my dream and hope it to come true
I'm a big Rockafire fan and Billy Bob's is still running this set to death. Aaron has a UA-cam channel and there are still sets around in Canada, Ireland, and the US.
You can watch a documentary from 2008 about their history and where they are now. I believe it details a man’s obsession with them to acquiring some of the most mint sets of these animatronics. It’s just called The Rock-afire Explosion.
The wolf thing holds the puppet like its dead

Well there's the Rock Afire bar, Bear A Dise, a public show in a restaurant in Canada which is almost a BBWL 2.0, and show performing publicly in Ireland.
omg this is soo creepy. i've only watched restore rockafire performances, so watching this gave me an unexpected shock
This is scarier than Dan Bell's nightmare fuel videos!
3:22 quite possibly the most unsettling thing I've seen in years
You should go to Creative Engineering in Florida next to see these guys in their prime
150 dollar tickets
Moozensoo there not set up there anymore Aaron sold all the shows...
David turbo i thought he kept one of them?
wow, this brings back wonderful memories.. but, when I had my son's bday party in 1988 or 1989 in Hackensack, NJ, Mitzie BLEW UP!! We grabbed our pizza and drinks and hit the parking lot whilst the building was on fire!! Now that building section is a restaurant. And my son's friends are left with memories of the last time Mitzie sang! And thank you for bringing Billy Bob to youtube!!
I am from northern NJ and remember hearing about that fire back in the day
*They all look so sad and depressed*
*cries*
This honestly made me cry because hurricane is basically my hometown all my family lives there but that was where they would take the kids its just sad they dont take care of amazing stuff
i find this disturbing, if i was from this era i would understand
Well if they where the same condition like they where 20 years ago, they would not be scary.
I keep seeing this guys vids and here he is again!
Me and my friend had to make a animatronic for my brothers collection and now if I see animatronics that aren't taken care of its just, really, really sad.
I showed this to my dad and he FREAKED from the memories
Wish they would have never went away. I had birthday parties for my children there in the 80's, at Show Biz Pizza.
i feel so bad for all of these characters, they really don't deserve this. one ones that make me the saddest are dook and mitzi. they look so sad and scary. they need to be repaired.
I"m going to have nightmares tonight now, thanks Jacob........
the way the animaltronics move is creapy
I’m so happy the animatronics are fixed now
is this one in business still?
+Creepy Pasta yes
Creepy Pasta yeah I went there today they are still in business
Madison Batten yes ! Go there all the time , it's an arcade , labor tag , and pizza
Laser lord this phone
Yes it’s in my hometown
This was absolutely terrifying
Not sure how this appeared in to my suggestions.... But it brought back memories from 25 years ago in Flamingo land, Scarborough in the UK.... Where I saw this for the first time.
ITS THE BAND FROM GRAVITY FALLS
PieHasNoFriends ;-; :0000000
PieHasNoFriends ;-;
its based on it
PieHasNoFriends ;-; Hoo Ha the owl is dead..
You gotta love Hoo-Ha Owl's Pizzamatronic Jamboree, I mean, who doesn't?
PLAYER SLAYER That is one of my favorite episodes because it reminds me of Showbiz pizza..
Scandia Amusments in Kelowna BC has a working show!
My parents say they remember seeing Showbiz Pizza commercials of the rockafire explosion but they never actually went there
Honestly, I would've started laughing so hard if Mitzi fell
This place needs repairs but Aaron is banned
Coming back to this video and seeing them now is very weird because they are actually fully restored now it looks great I recommend going back if you can to see how good it looks
Their creator gives shows in his studio with the animatronics in top notch shape.
Seeing Rolfe like this just makes me sad. :/
OMG I thought I would never see these animatronics again. I was one of those kids who saw them when they first appeared. Ive read all these horrible remarks but in their day they were great! Thanks for bringing them back!
To see the abandoned Rockafire band I stumbled across check here ua-cam.com/video/ckWv-Rf-r0M/v-deo.html
In that video they are hardly moving.....In this video they are flailing spastically....Not sure which is worse
Were they singing thriller?
I LOVE YOUR VLOGS
Omg! I live like 30 mins from here, I used to go here when I was a kid in the 90's. Definitely the same show
those robot puppets are creepy as hell, I would not want to see that at night alone.
At night, they just stand still in a limp or leaning without a single movement, and is aired down.
I would rather be the security guard at five nights at Freddy's then work there ;-;
madison stalnaker time to get the blow torches and have another fnaf 2 ending :) (cause the building burns lol)
Ofc you're banned to be there when it's night-time. The place is closed.
Funpaws TFM I know that and you don't need to be rude I meant that the employees aren't even allowed in there at night bc it's too dangerous
madison stalnaker
the reason they do that is because if they step on a wire in the dark they could get elecrocuted
Isolated whispers fnaf is cancerous shut up
I remember going to showbiz pizza in millington tn as a young child. Those animatronics used to scare the crap out of me. Happy to see them again.
I was born in 2005 but I still love them❤️
I'm 11 and my sister is 3
XD
Poor kids.
I wanna go SOOOOOOO bad
These exact characters were at a party place on long island, where I live called the Fun Station. They were taken out a few years ago. They creeped me out as a kid.
this place is not taking care of the show
I'm 3 yrs to late but they are just letting them run untill the go boom
When I was younger my brother actually had a record or the Rockafire Explosion. I'm almost certain it is still at my parents house. It was basically the actual voice actors singing popular songs.
Omg I was freaking out when they were singing thriller for Michael Jackson I was so happy 😁 omg I was so impressed with how they worked and talked and sang and stuff omg!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every time this Rockafire plays.. Aaron sheds a tear.
I wonder if fnf was inspired by this place
it was!
Cool Kid volgs Nope. It was inspired by Chippers Lumber and CO.!
Tord. Larsson Lol
GiantBananaHoldingAGrapeFilledHotpocket My god... calm down! Just disagree and move on, don't blow up about it in a comment...
Cool Kid Shut up with your fnaf crap
Had my birthday every year at showbiz in Memphis and was terrified when Billy Bob came out to sing happy birthday to me! I got my self stuck in a metal chair some how, trying to get away from him and they had to cut me out! No bull shit. Such a great time to be alive back then.
And why don't they remake them? They would be awesome to see but I guess money would be an issue...
''an excessive amount of moonshine on the stage for a kids show'' Yeah!? LOL :D Wt?? Ha ha ha....
+crazydogladynikki - Couldnt agree more! What child is going to not only recognize but also understand what moonshine is?!? I truly enjoy these videos, but OP may need to relax a bit... To each their own, but this seems to be overkill. Cheers!
Freddy fazbear & friends dislikes this video
Il MaxelCapo lI yah
***** fanboys and fangirls does
I have never been to this place and I'm happy to showed me this video because it shows what happens and what's there so thank u for that :D
I wonder if anything happened to the animatronics in 1983 and 1987. Hmmmmmmm..............
***** hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
STOP FUCKING FNAF FANS RUIN EVERYTHING SHIT
GiantBananaHoldingAGrapeFilledHotpocket STFU
Its physically impossible for an animatronic to go through a human's skull or skin.1) As said above, the jaws aren't strong enough 2) Most animatronic teeth are part of the mask, and most masks are made of something soft(not sure what it is)
I didn't say anything like that. I just wondered if they broke down or acted weird in those years.
This reminds me of fanf its creepy.
Five nights at freddys
Scott Cawthon was based off of Billy Bob's for FNaF. The fox-coyote thing has his own stage, just like Foxy. The leader of the band is a bear.
TheFangirlMusician 0990 The "fox-coyote" is actually a wolf! His name is Rolf de Wolfe and his little puppet's name is Earl.
when i saw cee-lo green a few years back live in vegas he had a band of animatronics like this for part of the show but they were in imaculate shape and looked great!
Ugh... I hate animatronics soo much. They're just so creepy to me. Their faces, actions.... They're just to much for me..
I'm A Pumpkin :u this is a horrible example to show exactly what they are
If i owned these animatronics, i would give them a new chance and repair them and create new masks and stuff, after that i would create a tortilla diner.
Its my dream and hope it to come true
so sad to see these animatronics in this shape. there are better shows out there with the rock afire explosion!!
Awesome video X3
I think this is the only time I've seen them perform.
Show Bizz Pizza was bought out by Ckuckey Chese
livvyosity wow I did not know that 😀
Fox by Day ,o.o,
Oh...
Whops...
no it is YOU who got it backwards (look it up)
I had a few birthdays there as a kid. I live about an hour away from Billy Bob's. I live where the moth man is from haha.
Wow....they're-in-bad-shape...
Akemi Satomi-[kawaii-neko]
i just looked at your name
and?
very cute
also i like your profile pic
I'm a big Rockafire fan and Billy Bob's is still running this set to death. Aaron has a UA-cam channel and there are still sets around in Canada, Ireland, and the US.
can you go to freddy fazbears pizza
+CraCra I think it's fake
You're fucked in the head.
It's fake
CraCra It's fake :/
nO
You can watch a documentary from 2008 about their history and where they are now. I believe it details a man’s obsession with them to acquiring some of the most mint sets of these animatronics. It’s just called The Rock-afire Explosion.
