- Every month Stealth Camping Alliance - which is a group of like minded individuals who stealth camp and post content on UA-cam from around the world. Each month SCA has a challenge that SCA Members can participate in.
This month's challenge - The August SCA Challenge - Was and is to: Camp like Steve. Steve Wallis is a is a popular UA-cam channel who loves to camp.
I was set to do a video in honor of Steve for his birthday which is in September, which is part of the challenge. However, things dramatically changed with Steve's latest video post concerning the passing of his wife Jess. Therefore, this video has taken on a different approach.
The filming is a bit different than my typical filming due to the nature of events that have recently taken place.

Thank you for this beautiful tribute. I'm Steve's sister and the loss of Jess has been....unimaginably painful for everyone. She was genuinely the best person I've ever met and I will miss her until the day I die.
Steve is with friends and family and is taking the time he needs to grieve and is safe. If anyone feel so inclined, we've requested that people volunteer/donate to their local homeless organizations. Jess always had kits in her car (gloves, bus tickets, water, food, etc) for anyone who needed help. She would love to see people help out their fellow neighbours.
Let him know we are praying for him ! Blessing to you all and may God be with you and Steve and her family also!

Guys I know it's just UA-cam and I'm no saint or anything but maybe we could all go out this week and try and do something good for the less fortunate. This would make something good come from such a sad event. I never met Steve or his late wife but I'm grateful for his content and it means a lot to me and it would feel good to honor his wife this way.
Sam this is actually what Steve mentioned in his video on Thursday about donating to a to a food bank it is great that you are thinking this way his sister commented and I pinned her comment above this is what Jess did When you read Steve's sister's comment yes yes always help the less fortunate
My son and I hunkered down Steve Style Saturday night, keeping Steve and Jess in our thoughts. I slept in my truck bed and he slept in his hammock, no extra gear. Got up in the morning and packed up and got on our way. So simple, no fuss, inspired by Steve and his life. Hope he stays strong and keeps it up.

I had only one surviving close family member, his birthday was September I always sent him chocolates via amazon to make sure he knew I was thinking of him. He died in 2020. When someone dies the world changes and the saddest part of the new world is that life goes on. Grief is the price we pay for loving, someday you will be able to remember them with laughter, for now just go thru it. God Bless and Comfort you.

Steve seems like the most humble guy on UA-cam. I’ve watched his content since day 1 and look forward to his Thursday video releases. He was one of the main influences for me starting my channel (albeit different than his, for now). When I saw Thursdays video I couldn’t help but actually cry along with him. I couldn’t imagine what he was feeling and how tough it had to be for him to sit there and relive it for his subscribers. I’m glad the camping/bushcraft/survival community is showing support for him. I saw your video pop up in my feed after watching Corporals Corner and seeing him give Steve a shout out as well. You got a new subscriber and I’m eager to check out your older content and your upcoming content as well! 👍🏻

It is heartbreaking to hear and to see Steve and his family having to deal with a major loss. The whole community banding together for Steve and for the memory of his beautiful wife is very nice to see.

What a really touching way to show Steve how much you care and how you hurt for him. When I saw his channel the other day and he told us the horrible news I could feel his pain and cried for him. As you spoke I could see how you felt his pain as well and again I cried like a baby. You’re a very honorable man and I’m honored to watch your channel. Yes, for sure, never expected that and just wanted to shake his hand to pull him into a hug! Steve is like me, the kinda man that would shrug a hug off open armed. Lol. We are too tough for that. But it is sometimes what we want and need.

I came here when I saw it in my recommendations. When I stopped crying I subscribed. Great to see you carrying on after a CVA, I had a massive one 7 years ago , but haven't recovered too well. Many of us have spent more actual minutes with Steve than any other person/celebrity we've ever watched on screen? Except all his minutes were real. No fake stuff, camera tricks, and no commercials. Then we fell in love with Crazy Neighbor and Beautiful Wife Jess...Our hearts break by the million.

I can`t help but relate with my wife/life leaving a year ago from a stroke after 44 years/43 married, because every couple everywhere reminds me. As for Steve, all I can say is all the habits of your interactions will linger for a very long time. I`m going to share this/she`s in my dreams-always at my side etc. (it gets personal)

I've been on disability since 2008. I have major legs and circulatory problems. Watching your's and Steve's videos along with a few other's had given me the desire to lose weight(short term goal) and get out there myself(long term goal)....make my own footprint in UA-cam land. Happy and appreciative that I found both Steve's Channel as well as yours. Being from Western Pennsylvania I kind of relate to your experiences a bit more. And to see how humble and respectful you are just makes me more eager to see your next video. Keep it up man.

You are a true friend, Tony. You know exactly how Lisa felt when you had the stroke and more than most, understand how a loved one feels during that sort of experience. It is evident in your commiseration with Mr. Wallis’ terrible loss. I try to understand how my wife dealt with my event, but I never truly will. She is a super strong lady. Just subbed to your channel, as i am also with Steve's channel and have for a very long time, just don't comment a lot. I have since 2019 placed all my faith in our Heavenly Father, i had 3rd stage breast cancer, went through chemo, 30 rounds radiation and a full mastectomy, my life was forever changed in that moment, he stood beside me the whole journey, cancer free but i do suffer from mild PTSD the thought of it coming back. I go solo camping as a female and enjoy being out in nature.. i was in Louisiana a year ago on a solo road trip, great state.. well you are a humble man yourself and i will now follow your journey, I'm starting on another one soon here myself.. hugs from wisconsin ❤. I pray for you on your recovery from a stroke, my late Mom had a stroke that in turn gave her Dementia later in life.. i lost almost my entire family, my Dad 2008, Grandma 2008, uncle 2008 then my Brother in 2012 mom in 2021 half sister 2 wks later and last my ex Son in law 2 wks after my Sister. So the grieving part can take a lifetime to overcome, it stinks, but if you believe then continue this journey he put before you and know he has your back and is always beside you. Until we meet again, thank you kindly sir, you're a sweet gentleman. .

We do miss our loved ones now and do grieve for many days, weeks and well years.... but praise God that one day we will all rejoice! Until then we find comfort in being in His creation. I believe they come to us in our dreams and whenever you don't expect it, I've seen my Brother once standing in my bedroom doorway with a glow all around him smiling , within secs he was gone, seen my Dad once in a dream, my Grandma and Mom... so i truly believe we are still connected after death.. hugs to you again from wisconsin.. keep enjoying life as i will try myself to keep enjoying..

I have lost 3 husbands. Each grieving process was different. The last one still makes me cry in anguish. Married to 4th. Told him, I GET TO GO FIRST!!! Steves video made me cry, and what he said, made me concerned for him. Glad he has family and friends like you.

When I saw the title I thought that video was a prank or clickbait, as soon as Steve stepped into frame I was like “oh no…” (edited for language) that video made me actually cry. Love the tribute and video. I was praying right along side you brother, for Steve. I can't imagine what he must be going through. Even as a believer, and knowing I'd see my wife again, I'd still be lost without her. I wouldn't know up from down for a long time. I appreciate brother's like you holding him up in prayer. As I will be. I've never met him or talked to him, but it feels like he's family just from watching his videos over the years.

I meant that I cannot imagine the grief he is experiencing because I know I would be devastated "if" I lost my wife and wouldn't know up from down. So sorry about the confusion. I find there are 2 types of UA-camrs. 1 type show off there success. The other type are down to earth people like Steve and yourself. You guys touch people's hearts and souls like you are our personal friends. When I watched Steve's video about Jesse's passing, I felt like I was listening to a family friend. I was at work On lunch when I received his video notification and when I saw the title, my heart sank. I was in shock, still am.
As a fellow Canadian, Steve and Jess are examples of what kinds of people Canadians are and should be.

Very tragic news news last Thursday and it is still tough. But the outpouring of support and prayers from literally hundreds of thousands of people though it's very heart warming. Not to mention all those who are doing some kind of act of kindness toward a fellow human in need in her name Is awesome.

I live in North Louisiana and never heard of Louisiana Crunch Cake!!! However, I’m about to embark on a trip to Walmart to discover this delicious looking treasure! I love that you like them so much that you made shirts with the name on the front. I stopped to watch your video because I thought you must be from Louisiana. What a delightful video with your Ramon noodle recipe. I’ve only watched a few of Steve’s videos and I enjoyed them all. He is in my thoughts and prayers. Please let him know that like him, I’m a widow( much older) but he truly does need to take time to grieve. Only time, prayers and good friends can heal such a pain. Sending blessing to Steve and you and to all the community.
I am not sure why they're called Louisiana crunch cakes but boy are they good I can't wait to hear that you tried them look in the bakery section Greece section they are usually on a table with other little pies.
