Super helpful. Loosened the side bolts to fold the bars to take my bike to the pump track, but when I got there my headset was super loose. I used this video to diagnose my loose top cap and luckily I had my ratchet with me! Thanks a bunch.
thanks, really helped me figured it out that the barspins part actually helping to solve the problem really well, a bit messing with the bars really helped
Dude thanks for this video. I’m 36 just getting back into biking and it seems like I forgot everything in the last 20 years. I couldn’t figure out why the headset was so loose. Just did it out of order and tightened the side bolts first. Thanks again.
thanks bro i fixed it today i can finally not be scared to do a barspin or something without fearing my whole stem is going to come out lmao, good video!
I honestly got scared this morning my headset was loose and I thought something broke I’ve had the bike for about 2 months and never a problem with the headset pretty easy fix thanks dude
im not gonna lie i was getting really stressed because it was so tedious and was making me mad so i was basically yelling at you the whole time through my phone but i figured it out because of you and i thank you
I jsut got a brand new shadow headset before hand my forks weren’t sounding lose now I got the new one and it sounds lose it seems like not going to at first but once you bunnyhop or anything it starts idk why it didn’t so this before please help me I jsut got my bike painted and have been waiting to ride and I can’t ride it yet intell I fix it it’s driving me crazy
All I have been trying to find out is what the specific part is called.. ik what park is snapped it basically stabilizes the handlebars so they don’t jiggle.. I fixed it before but it wasn’t long maybe a day or 2 that it came loose again
There are a few things that could be happening. One: you may not have tightened the compression bolt enough. Two: you could have a bent fork steerer tube. That happened to my friend's and it made his headset constantly loose. Hope this helped!
