fixed it, thanks for this video. I didn't know that you had to keep tightening the screws until it was fully tight on each side... I thought that I just had to tightened both of them once... no wonder my handle bars were moving so much... videos like this are lifesavers lol...
You guys should make a video of female vs. male hubs, I have no idea of the difference and I need new hubs so if u could it would help a lot. Thank you
+payten densmore Great idea! I have both versions in front of me right now. I can start working on that video asap. I'll give you a shout out if you want. 👍
+great lil cesar I have a video on spline drive cranks. I have yet to do a video on just the bottom bracket but you might get some useful information out of it: ua-cam.com/video/410_urTtEIs/v-deo.html
+RoboWarrior If the spokes are not cracked or broken than you should be fine.. Spokes can be bent a little but never cracked or broken in 2. The crash might have bent the rim but as long as the spokes are only bent and not broken you can re-true the wheel.
Unless you buy from a reputable bike shop, the spokes can be loose to begin with, even as you ride, they will need to be tuned until they properly stretch and seat themselves. Take your bike to the shop, and get the wheels trued and spokes tensioned. It'll make it feel a whole lot more reliable to be running nicely tuned wheels.
Can you make a video about Bmx tires? Im about 160lbs. Everytime i take my bike for a ride, the Wheels just starts losing alot of air. The wheels' PSI is 40. (I know its not the best PSI) Im thinking about getting a new bike with stronger wheels, But i dont know if it would help. Any suggestions?
+IboPlays Yea we can make a video about that. 40psi a little low to me. I usually ride 60-80psi and I'm 140lbs.. Higher quality tires are usually rated around 100-120psi max.
sup you are growing pretty quick keep it up i got a question i just got in bmx i bought a 2016 fit mac 2 lime green can u do some research on it and reply telling me if its good and what good /baf about it please?
+EastOakland ShadeyMob Thanks We really appreciate that. It's not a bad bike. It should be fine to shred on for now. Later down the road, could even be a year or 2, you might want to buy a new frame and swap all of the parts over to it. For now your cool with that. It's not bad.
i tightened my compression bolt for the forks too much, they still only just spin but dont sound the best, ive snapped 3 allen keys in the process plus stripped the actual bolt (not the threads that connect it to the fork). the pinch bolts arent even needed because its so compressed, how can i fix this??? D:
im looking for a new frame but i dont know wich size is good for me im thinking about a 20,75/21 but i dont know wich one will be better for me im around 1,70 CM please help me lol
+.::Roy::. The difference in those sizes is not very much. Mostly preference in feel. I Personally suggest a 20.75" because I'm 188cm tall and ride a 21 comfortably.. 21 is a popular standard, so you can't go wrong with it, but I personally feel a 20.75 would suit you better.
Help me, after i install my headset i see that The gap between dust cover and the head tube also the gap betweet the lower head tube and upper leg got skewed, but no play no stuck, it spin freely, but i'm still affraid with that skewed gap, is my steertube bend? Or is it the bearing problem? (The headset is not a brand new btw)
+Dull ARKHAM Make sure you have enough spacers, in between the stem and frame, so the top cap isn't bottoming out.. If you don't have enough spacers it won't fully tighten down on the bearings.
It looks like u thigh tried the pinch bolts first than the compression bolt and that's bad y will end up striping your bolts and hav a hard tim removing your stem off the forks
+DARK BLITZ No we didn't do that. We even said in the video that you have to tighten the cap first.. You actually can't tighten the pinch bolts first or the bearings never seat and always stay loose
+DARK BLITZ I see what you mean now. My stem is soo loose on the forks that they need one of the bolts to be barely seated to line up the wheel.. It's so loose that if you don't do it the bars will basically fall out of alignment as you tighten them. Just one of those little quirks my combination of parts have.
Make sure you have the correct bearings for your application. Integrated bearings can sometimes stick out of the frame by a few millimeters, depending on how the steer tube of your frame is made.

I’ve had my bmx for about 5 years and I’ve only checked my bearings once and it’s still running and working fine
Thanks lads that was great, especially how you pointed out some potential 'rookie' errors.
the best video out in very specific
Sick helpful asf

+The BNC (Bmx News Channel) okay that would be great and thanks
Thank you for the great advice. I hit subscribe for more great information😊
What size Allen key for stem bolts to adjust the angle on handlebars thanks
Generally, most bmx products use an allen head bolt that takes a 6mm allen key.
Thanks for the tutorial 👍, really help me for installation headset integrated
So when did they do away with the bearings on the fork setup
Still helpful in 2021 glooks bro
Hehe I totally didn’t forget about the washers or what ever they are called 😅
yeah i think i lost one when i was fixing my bike cuz the forks move forwards and backwards and i’m not tryna drop in when it’s like that
I appreciate this video you guys..i just fixed mine cuz of this thanks!!

I'm a tad new, I dented a few spokes in a crash, would I want to replace them, or will they hold up?
+RoboWarrior If the spokes are not cracked or broken than you should be fine.. Spokes can be bent a little but never cracked or broken in 2. The crash might have bent the rim but as long as the spokes are only bent and not broken you can re-true the wheel.

My dust cap doesn't fit on my fork, anyway I can make it fit?
+Alexander Peters That's unusual for it not to fit. Usually they are made to perfect size.
My forks are stuck I’ve taken everything off except that ring thing (bc I can’t get it off) I can’t get my forks to go off even a little. Pls help

my front end is shaking like crazy how and what should I do
This video really helped thanks 🤘
Ive been having problems on hard steering. So it was the bearing then?
good video. helped me out a lot
I have a mountain bike but my washer has snapped as u showed in the start and my headset never really tightens up so would I need a new washer
+SandyWaif2 Gaming Yes. Your problem is either a broken washer or not enough spacers.
are all headset same size or diffrent size bc my heaset is lose and im still learning

Mountain bike integrated headset can fit in bmx?
I doing same like in video but I Steel have looseness in head set
+Dull ARKHAM Make sure you have enough spacers, in between the stem and frame, so the top cap isn't bottoming out.. If you don't have enough spacers it won't fully tighten down on the bearings.
Just grab a hammer 🔨
What kind of bike is that? What does it say on it
Verde Regent frame.
Really helpful
My headset clicks any advice
Nice video
My headset squeaks when I turn it and it feels wobbly from side to side when i pedal but i don't knoe whats wrong with it
I clean my headset when my headset sound like tha
I don’t know what I did because it’s tight but will not spin
You have to use grease on you’re bearings to help it spin correctly/ smoothly

Mine doesn't pop out like that headset*
I CANT FIT THE BEARINGS IN!!!!!!

"30$ is pretty cheap" for that money i would be more interrestet to Buy a new sprocket or chain
+Affen Crime Bearings are not an upgrade you have to be interested in... They are an essential part of any and every dialed bike.
30$ is not cheap
