Ventsislav Dmitrov, the guy who pulled 500 kg for a double sumo, pulled 705 lbs for a set of 5 with a similar stance and grip, beltless, on a stiff bar, with stiff legs. He could probably pull over 800

Jamal can realistically deadlift 1000 pounds conventional in his peak. I don't love sumo either but Jamal can get a pass cause he's top five baddest deadlifters ever without being 300 pounds even.
Well physically speaking sumo is easier. The weight is lifted a shorter distance than in conventional. Of course in real life personal leverages play a role too but there is a reason why there are so many people pulling crazy high numbers in Sumo. If it was a thing in strongmen I believe we´d see 550kg.
@ doesnt work that way, all the strongmen dont have the hip mobilty to pull sumo. Everyone in the IPF can pull how they want, yet most heavyweights pull conv, they pull that way because its easier. Eddie hall himself couldnt even sumo 400kg So the max your gonna see in strongman games is 500kg until mitchael hooper does 505
