Ford Explorer 2012 to 2019 evaporator core removal

Quick guide on how to change the evap or dash on an explorer. Side note there 4 total air bag clips three on the passenger and one on the steering wheel. Please do this at your own risk this is for educational purpose and before attempting anything remember to disconnect the battery -Enjoy.

When i turn on ac it seems like metal or a hair salon smell. They talk about this issue?
2018 base model. Yikes

Check the exhaust see if you can find the plastic bag stuck on it. If it smells like burning hair most of the time it’s something stuck on it. If not, change your cabin air filter that’s a overlooked item.

@@chaughtaihassan put new hepa cabin filter in myself but smell remains. Thanks for the response. I hope it's not what you had to do in your video that was alot of work

Had to take hepa filter out cause it was restricting air flow it seemed. Put new regular filter in got better air flow. Still dealing with smell. Got appt with an honest ac guy coming up

@@chaughtaihassan got back from a mechanic Monday he is saying it's a stink smell to spray where the ac comes in from outside with deodorizer. Says he doesn't smell freon or carbon monoxide. Smells like hair salon to me. Funny part is the other mechanic told me I have a freon leak.

Strange design. Taking everything out in order to remove the ac evaporator.
