Omg foreal, i have a 2013 Buick Lacrosse 3.6 and i think i might have to replace it myself 😢. I didnt know you had to do all that😭
Why do we have to change the dash evaporator?
A bad evap will case the Freon to leak out and the ac system wont have enough pressure to operate properly.
Breakaway bolt actually but still technically not wrong
Delete this stupid shit
Great video mate thanks going to use this as a guide
Hello, I have a problem... I stupidly poured the wrong liquid through the place where the condensate drains. This place is in the cabin (I took out the condensate drain pipe from the evaporator) now the car stinks... it is impossible to drive. What should I do, help
This is tough, I’ve never experienced this kind of issue but I would try to flush the evaporator casing a few times see if helps
Good job! At the moment my 330 coupe has the same problem. Luckily it´s not my daily driver but at some point it has to be done, just a matter of time I guess. I´ve seen videos of a sunroof delete and that could be an option as well... maybe. Hopefully your roof still works. Thanks for the helpful video! Maybe you have noticed I do like using emojis.
Thanks. Yes sunroof has Ben working perfectly, I chose this option to keep the car OEM and was able to find a low mileage tray on OfferUp for cheep. Good luck on your car also love the emojis ✊🏼.
Oh my. That is ambitious.
when you got to the part where you were in the engine bay, I thought the next scene was going to be "so I had to pull the engine out".
😂😂😂no, thank god
Would a 2012 mini Cooper convertible be the same or is the heater core under the dash console area?
I don’t think so but don’t quote me on this
It is ok the same place, drivers side
How did u fix that?
Had to change the whole tray, Full video on the channel.

Ok seriously... This video sucked ass... Didn't explain shit or help in anyway
That’s not a 2012 connect
Thanks for the clear instructions.. Helped me out greatly. 💪🏽💪🏽
Worst video ever
Thanks 😒
Useless video
Right when he's about to remove the core it cuts.. :o
Coool
how do i know if i need to replace it?
If it’s not leaking anywhere in the engine bay then the only place that’s left is internal. I’ve noticed around 90 to hundred k miles it leaks for any car.
Been there, done that, to repair leaking heater in my 1980 Ford.😊
That car is beautiful 😍
wtf happens there buddy?
Changing out the evap
Clean as 🤘
Hola 👋 como estas que bueno ❤😂🎉
Thanks, very helpful

Where can I find you to work on my car?…
Did you pieces come pre-painted. The only ones I’m finding are all white.
No I had a local body shop paint it for 50$
Good job bro was this all one day ?
Yes sir all in one day my brother
I wish i could get ur contact info i am about to start the exact one right now i am sitting in it looking at your video lol
🥹
First I want to say thank you for this video, thank you. I'm helping a friend with her 2009 Rav 4 that starts and runs for a few seconds and then shuts off. She was told it's the immobilizer box failing, and your video is the first I've seen mention exactly where that box is(and yes what you said you think is the immobilizer is the immobilizer as I'm looking at a replacement right in front of me). I'm wondering if you remember how it is in there, could one reach that bolt and be able to unclip the connector to the immobilizer without having to actually take out the whole white mass, maybe only have to take the top of the dash off?
No problem, I try to help out as much as possible. From what I remember it was a really tight fit behind the hvap housing but what I would to do is take the top part of the dash and try different pick tools to just unclip it and leave the old one hanging there and just relocate the immobilizer in a new location. That seems like the easiest way to go about it. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
@@chaughtaihassan That thought was running through my head, glad to see you think it might be possible too. Thank you very much.

I think you mean Butyl tape.
😬yep
hello, what did you do about the tape on the long piece? remove it all or just not peel it. only the rear piece gets taped correct?
Yes I left the tape alone on the long price they are free moving parts so no need for them to stick. Only the last trims need to be stuck down.
Bro I think you got other things to fix in that car first 😭
Which ones?
do you have a link for the springs and clips?
I got them from eBay but I believe now they even sell on Amazon with fast shipping.
@@chaughtaihassan aliexpress too much cheaper if u can wait
One of the plastic pieces that holds the spring broke and the spring scratched the paint on my 335i
Yea it’s better to tape the spring or it’s going to cause more damage until you replace the trims. Also if it’s left dangling and breaks when the top goes in and out you’ll have to change the whole convertible top metal hinges. It’s a pain so just prevent it.
Thanks for posting. I just saw they are now selling the hinge covers on Amazon. They were so hard to source a year ago. 🙄
Yea, year ago bmw was the only place to get them and they were ridiculously overpriced.
hey bro quick question. when installing the trim, which piece goes first? the long piece or short piece in the back
The short one, it acts like a guiding piece for the long one. When putting on the short piece make sure to clean the surface really good.
perfect video bro. exactly what i needed. i was worried because my springs looked a little fucked up, but i seen yours and they don’t look the straightest either lol. anything i should i be careful of?
Yea mine weren’t the straightest either I believe to change the spring you have to change the whole arm and mess with the alignment for the roof so instead I used 2 needle nose pliers to straighten the springs out being careful not to break them. I noticed as long as they go in and clip you should be fine. The parts I ordered them from eBay, dealer quoted 1000 because they apparently don’t sell them individually any more. Only thing I would say is to align the trims before hand because once the 3m tape sticks and you remove it it’s not as sticky the second time. Easy job shouldn’t take no more than 15 minutes. Mind been one for a few months and still holding up perfect. GOOD LUCK.
@@chaughtaihassan i know man exactly what i heard, and i bought my car sight unseen, when it came i noticed both twins were missing. the 3m tape is only for the small piece right? not the one that attaches to the springs i assume.
Yes the the backs, the fronts are for the springs
@@chaughtaihassanhey man, how did you remove the rear trim that’s held with the tape. do i just pry on it with heat? also when i install the trim, which trim do i install first? because it looks like the rear trim has to clip into something
Transit Connect ? 🤔
black
🤫
😏 'promosm'
What ?
Did you have to disconnect the battery?
Yes, with a project this size it’s always safe to disconnect the battery in the case of the transit connect it was under the driver seat.
Strange design. Taking everything out in order to remove the ac evaporator.
😢
Gotta love those jobs 🤣
