Bindi is absolutely insane! Flying and catching rats without any practice, making a mistake with a mink but realizing so quickly that the mink didn’t even get hurt, and they way she literally dives at the rats… That dog is next level, she’s incredibly smart and talented❤️
She's a pitbull they are 110% whatever they do. It's sad to me to not see them as much anymore just all this mutant mastiff garbage everyone wants to call a pitbull.
He definitely picked the perfect dog for his business; she's phenomenal. Obviously his training has a lot to do with it too but she's clearly a very smart dog.
Joseph chose her very carefully from working lines. There's a video where he explained what he was looking for with Bindi, from temperament to skillset to her size. Very carefully chosen.❤
I loved how you picked up Bindi, and waited. Its like she was getting locked it to the angle, speed and distance she needed. Her brain was definitely working as much as her teeth!
I had to stay and watch this, not just for the rat hunting, but how PERFECT these dogs are trained! This is the first video I have ever seen by you and I'm growing more and more amazed each time I see you execute a new trained command. Putting the rats in the bucket on their own, trained to look where told and when told, trained to behave with the minks, everything! Beautiful work!
I think is more than how well trained they are, but they are exactly in the environment they are supposed to be and found their purpose and want to be the best at it.
Holy cow, Bindi was on it! You tossed her like a torpedo, and she got them all! Now you just have to work on catching her better. When she locks on, she like a heat seeking missile. It was AWESOME to see her do that. When you told her to calm down. She steadied up right away. What a heck of a dog. That's why I love pit bulls. They are fantastic working dogs. To see Bindi release the mink immediately is a testimate to her training. What an incredible dog!!!!
Some people forget how athletic dogs can be since we tend to have them in the house. When you let a dog go all out like this, you see how incredible they really are. Great job doggies!
My favorite part of these videos is how carefully you analyze and explain the behavior of the dogs and minks working together. You really get a better understanding of their problem solving skills during the hunt 👍
It’s amazing how well this mink can operate with so many people, dogs and other distractions around. No stopping to hide or eat just constantly in the business of the hunt.
In all manly honesty I got a little teary eyed when Joe talked about Bindi and her love and loyalty. She's a beautiful pupper! Side note, long live on the memory of Sherni, Boss and Washushi (however it's spelled). Love from Scotland
Hi Scotland!! My Paternal Grandparents came to the US from Scotland!! Specifically, Edinburgh!! I did visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and a couple of other towns back in 1988!!! Whenever the Hotels, Pubs, etc saw my last name on credit cards, ID or whatever, they treated me like Royalty!! My only complaint about Scotland is some of your food! I tried Haggis once. Once was enough! No offense but..Ugh!! At least you all like your 🍺 Beer nice & cold! The Limeys drink it warm!! That makes no sense!! The Irish like their beer cold as well!!
What well trained dogs and mink. I’m always so impressed at how well they work as teams and I’m so happy to see the younger generations getting into it!
Man, Bindi is just the BEST DAMN DOG. She let you toss her TWICE and didn't hesitate even a little bit! Talk about grit and drive and trust. What a fine dog. Those two little pups are shaping up nice too.
@Rednecksofthenorth Welcome! Have fun digging through old videos. Bonus points when you find the video where the trained monitor lizard goes after rodents.
@Tyler-dt8cg Joe has her lineage in one of his videos here I believe. I know he has it in his club. I believe hers is mostly used for hunting, but I'm not sure.
@@QueenJerhonda Definitely one of them. I love them dearly, but do not think they're for everyone. Some people don't train or exercise at all and expect a dog like this to be happy being a couch potato. Which occasionally, you do get one like that. But it's few and far between.
@23:45 this is true but also Bindi sees the mink as part of the pack, just as you and your family. You are all 1 pack hunting together. You are doing this the right way. I have seen a lot of farmers just throwing poison everywhere, that’s a loss loss situation. Much respect
This is a similar bit of lore to why there are owl infestations in NYC in Futurama. They released owls to take care of the rats and they became the new rats.
Joseph Sir, I don’t think I have ever seen a finer example of love and respect between a man and his dog working together with mutual understanding 😮 BRAVO! 19:16
Incredible work training these dogs to have no fear! They climb into, jump over, and just destroy anything in their way! Incredible drive and awesome work. And as always the mink is freaking incredible!!
This was amazing to watch, humans mink and dogs working together like clockwork. New dogs looking great but the star of the show is Bindi! what a fantastic dog she is!!!
This video was one of your best! I’ve had dogs of many breeds my whole 48 years of life training and showing. You couldn’t be more right saying there’s nothing better than a dog! I have retired showing dogs and now just have 9 mixed breed rescues. I love watching you work with the dogs and your wife and girls. They are turning out to be great little dog handlers. Seems you made great choices for the new addition with Cherry and Poppy! They will be up to speed in no time. Your wife has great camera skills. She did a wonderful job capturing all the action! And of course Queen Bindi stole the show as usual!
Great video, entertaining and informative. The big dogs were solid, the mink was a monster like you said, and the JV squad little dogs were promising- loved seeing them squeezing around fearlessly into the tight spaces, eagerly hunting for prey. Your wife's patience and support can't be underestimated, but you probably already know that. Cool to see the kids being trained along with the small dogs. Can't say I'm a fan of letting dogs drop 8' to the ground- maybe knock the rats down to the dog's level instead. I knew Bindi was in shape, but there was one closeup view your wife took of her haunch and torso (Bindi's!) that showed she's just solid muscle, with a healthy tone, looking like a perfect balance of diet and exercise- your experience raising animals shows. Thanks for posting this one, Joe, obviously lots of work, both in the field and also editing- appreciate your time and effort in making and sharing it.
@JosephCartertheMinkMan Dachshunds were bred to go after rats, rabbits, badgers, etc. in their own tunnel homes. So, in the future you could look into that.
@26th_Primarch yes I've gone down that road and was rather disappointed. Dachshunds suffer from dwarfism. Dwarfism severely deforms a dog's body and reduces their athletic ability significantly. It's the only working dog I've ever seen too slow to keep up with me add a brisk walk through rough terrain. Rats run fast, so a slow awkward dog really isn't ideal for my purposes. Even terriers are too slow a lot of the time, and to be frank they run like a thoroughbred compared to a dachshund.
Joe Bindi is definitely the best…only other dogs I’ve seen that come close are Boss & Sherni…. I miss seeing those two…I’m sure not near as much as you do…throwing Ms Bindi up on the top plate to grab that rat was absolutely fantastic!!!
Have been watching for years, first time commenting. Your dogs and mink are amazing, and you are a great trainer and handler. You are right about dogs being the greatest. I was involved with dogs most of my life; veterinary field, breeder-owner-handler of show dogs, groomer. My last dog was a white GSD, he died March 26, 2022, at age ten to cancer, and I am lost without him. I don't know who hated squirrels more...him or me. He was my last...I cannot take the heartbreak anymore. Love watching you, the dogs, and your family, God bless.

Seen some incredible dog work on this channel, flying Bindi just took it to a new level. The trust she has to be thrown and have no problem doing it again, what a bond...
You have amazing dogs and family. Bindi has been a super dog from the get go. Poppy and Cherry fit right in with the family. Really miss Boss though. This job was exciting to watch. Amazing scene with Bindi and mink working together. Almost like a tag team in a superhero film. 👍👍
I would be so proud to have you as my son, you have such a beautiful family. 53 here and have been watching for over 4 years from Tucson Az, we have been battling with hybrid rats, for anyone curious what they are, their a cross between a brown or roof rat with a pack rat. We went to KY back in the spring of 2021 in our RV and have had them since, not sure if we brought back a rat from that area or just a coincidence, the Twin exterminator brothers did a video a while back here on YT in a mansion by us that had roof rats, which are not native to Arizona so many folks moving here are bringing from the southern/east Coast
Bindi makes kill bites against rodents with similar fragility in bone structure to the minks in literal half seconds, their spines are especially vulnerable, exactly where she was grabbed. My point being, that dog showed INSANE reflexes, and intelligence to be able to bite with that much power and confidence on reflex 10000 times but still be able to reverse the action no less than half way through when you need to. That was crazy, i've seen it before but never with a dog that big and the friend that small.
I'm not sure how I got here, but I did a few days ago, and I'm hooked, and I subscribed immediately! Now the first couple days and videos I watched seemed to be all the ones with the high kill amounts so when I heard the "ssss" "ssss" sounds I thought that was the darn rats 🐀 and I thought in large groups running from danger maybe they did make that sound until I finally happened upon a video of you explaining that's you making that sound. 😂It happened to be a lower kill count video, so its pace was a bit slower, so I finally heard the actual rats 🐀 screaming, well, sorta. All this time...darn, If I would've been in a farm setting if EVER in one (low chance) I'd been kicking my feet around listening for that sound so I knew to get the heck out of there only to know I wouldn't even know they were there and that to me is the scariest part.😮
ha ha ha yeah my cousin thought the same thing and one day we were talking and he said, "Why do rats make that sound every time they run?" I had to try not to chuckle when I explained that it was me making the sound to tell the dogs I see a rat running.
I hope you know that I always look forward to your next video. I remember seeing some random post on my recommended youtube videos and it was a video of rat catching with Boss. Now I have no idea why youtube recommended that to me, because Ive never watched anything like that, but man, I am so glad it did. I will admit, when I first saw the caption, I was grossed out, but I decided to give it a chance beacause a part of me was so interested in that. Now, you've literally become a part of my thursday routines 😂. You and your channel have taught me so much, things that I never thought I needed to know. I've got to become familiar with your family, which I adore btw, and your talented animals. I know it's a good day when I get that notification that THE mink man posted. Basically, what I'm trying to express, is that your channel is very educational, welcoming, exciting and I appreciate what you do. Can't wait til next weeks video!!
not ever have I been a dog owner as I am allergic to dogs. However Joseph, I agree whole heartedly that dogs are truly man's best friend followed by minks of course.
So dang cool how you and Bindi team up. She knows the plan and exactly how you're gonna throw her up to get the rat. Such a smart girl and so cute to see her grow up
Well, done to bindi Juno, Cherry and Poppy. Well, done to Fire the Mink she did a wonderful job and chasing the rat from the fence and all over the place, I just love that mink. Maggie you did a wonderful job in filming. Sending Love to all the dogs and fire the mink. from, Jacqui, Perth, Western Australia.
Love watching your animals do their job, so glad I found your channel. Using mink as a flusher is such a cool idea, and they're so freaking cute. Thank you thank you thank you for rescuing them from farms. I hope this catches on so more can be spared the fur trade.
Your black mink is beautiful. You are so RIGHT about a dog. Truly mans best friend. I have 2 German Shepherds that are my family.. It is truly amazing how your dogs are with the mink. But they were raised together and look like they have fun together. Good video. CHEERS
This is insane watching Bindi and the mink like that. Seeing how they grew up together and played together, it makes sense how they can work side by side so easily! Bindi is an incredibly focused dog
Your mink is amazing. I haven't been keeping up with the mink you're breeding, but Ms. Fire is a very tamed Mink (compared to some other Minks you've had) since she didn't panic or freak out when Bindi accidentally picked her up! You've trained your dogs and mink so well, it's crazy how far you've come over the years, Joe!
Once again Bindy shows how much of a Swizz army knife a dog can be if you train it using the same Methods as joe. Fascinating, so kudos to Bindy (cpt. Crunch) for demonstrating the ability to pick up things on the fly, often without any specific training for a given action 🤯
Idk what rodents should fear more, a bald eagle or a flying pitbull

@JosephCartertheMinkMan Dachshunds were bred to go after rats, rabbits, badgers, etc. in their own tunnel homes. So, in the future you could look into that.

Maggie you did a wonderful job in filming. Sending Love to all the dogs and fire the mink. from, Jacqui, Perth, Western Australia.

Thanks! 😊
21:37 no way I could comprehend half of what I saw? Bruh, I saw it all. With ease i might add. Gamer brain.
Olive has her hands full with a new born baby and a new dog. 😂
She wanted another baby for Christmas this year and the other day she told me it was hard being a mom of two lol 😂
Good video. CHEERS
This is the best video i have seen in a long time
Bindi's just carved out for ratting. She's a natural ! 👌🏻🐾
Pest professional here your right about the roof rat identification but the main one would be the Long feet for jumping.
This is better than watching race cars. Way more action and not nearly as repetitive
Fire the mink is beautiful! So lithe and athletic.
Your intro is amazing, looks like something from discovery channel!
Unreal! I can’t believe she flew up there and got that! GO BINDI 🎉 14:45
What a good girl, bucket and she places it in the bucket. 😊
Once again Bindy shows how much of a Swizz army knife a dog can be if you train it using the same Methods as joe.
Fascinating, so kudos to Bindy (cpt. Crunch) for demonstrating the ability to pick up things on the fly, often without any specific training for a given action 🤯
Give the cameraman a raise
