Although Jackson had an extremely hard child hood as he lost his father at a young age, became part of a militia at just 13 years of age, was struck with a sword by a british officer, and became an orphan at 15, he still became succesful working as a lawyer. Paula Davo P.1

I learned that Jackson was considered a man with a temper because he fought in several duels, but he exchanged bullets when he shot and killed one man, even though duels were an accepted way of settling conflicts and disputes.

He was known as a man with a temper due to his tendency to duel. He also lost both his parents and siblings at a young age, becoming an orphan at the young age of 15. he was also known for his victory at the Battle of New Orleans.

I learned about the Election of Andrew Jackson and how it didn't just symbolize the shift in political participation. But also created the idea of Jacksonian Democracy, no government would be controlled be the wealthy or elite. They thought this would change politics forever but this past election proves otherwise.

In 1828, during Jackson's presidency, most states had dropped the requirement of land-owning to vote. The election symbolized the shift in ideals that now all white men could vote.

I learned that the Democratic Republicans split up into two. The Democrats and the National Republicans. The Democrats were supported by the people, and the National Republicans were supported by merchants and businessmen. Kinda like Democratic Republicans and Federalists part 2.
