Bit of a correction on 5:40: A spy can get an assist on a destroyed building if he places a sapper on the building and a teammate destroys the building while it is being sapped.
A videoediting question (anyone can answer); how did you get the TF2 animated character models (and any animated ingame special effects associated with them) with a transparent background such that you could composite in your own background? Did you capture videos of them against a greenscreen custom map or something?
great vídeo as always. But although you explained that the first medic to start healing you gets priority on the assist, I think it would be worth mentioning that this even applies if the second medic Ubers or Kritz the target. It is too common for a gibus medic who is just following a random guy to steal a good 5 or 7 assist when I Kritz him, simply because I commited the sin of healing my team as a whole, switching targets constantly and launching arrows :(
After Jungle Inferno, airblasting people into kill barriers will sometimes ignore the airblast, crediting nobody for the kill. It'll just credit anyone who did damage. Additionally, the Shortstop's push will never credit you for pushing an enemy into a kill barrier, despite it dealing 1 damage.
As a comp player and engineer main who often uses the frontier justice, thisis actually really valuable information Thank you! Been trying to figure this out for quite some time after thinking I should get sentry assists but them just not happening, but now I know that my damage has to be the most recent damage, and within 3 seconds, and debuffs or bluffs or healing can get in the way of assists being awarded to me sentry. Also, odd thing, it seems as though it is impossible for an engineer's sentry to get an assist from the engineer who built it, by which I mean if someone is peppered by my sentry and I finish them with my shotgun, no assist will be awarded
Another thing for buildings: You can also assist in destroying a building if it's sapped, if you hit a sapped building and it dies to the sapper you get an assist on it I think it works the other way around too where the spy gets the assist for sapping a building that is then destroyed but I'm not entirely sure. Though I don't know how a medic's healing plays into this, further testing is required.
