About Aloha From Hawaii:
Elvis Presley made television and entertainment history with his Elvis, Aloha from Hawaii concert, performed at the Honolulu International Center Arena on January 14, 1973. It was beamed live via Globecam Satellite to various countries, on a delayed basis to approximately thirty European countries and it first aired in America that April 4th on NBC in edited form. The American broadcast version included four "insert" songs that were shot just after the concert. In all, the concert was seen in over forty countries by close to 1.5 billion people, a global ratings smash. Never before had one performer held the world's attention in such a way. Aloha from Hawaii presents Elvis Presley at the pinnacle of his superstardom, giving one of the most outstanding concert performances of his career.

Elvis interpretation of music was so beautiful. He actually reminds me of my deceased younger brother. He was smart, talented and good looking, and lived homeless. He died at the age of 42 in july. When i watch jailhouse rock, he actually looked like him in one of the scenes. i dont know why people become self destructive, but may they both rest in peace, i still love you Ronni, kathy

The news reporter that spoke with Elvis about Aloha from Hawaii said that Elvis was the only one that could do the satellite concert because he was well known all over the world. I agree. More people watched it than when man first walked on the moon.
I have never heard a single bad song from this great performer. As a seal to one of the greatest concerts ever is this signature tune, sang in the most emotionally captive ways. He was the greatest at his craft.
I love how the last girl he reaches out to tries to take his ring and he catches her and smiles at her it's absolutely amazing!

A girl at some concert similarly tried to snatch a ring, a scarf or a lock of hair off Elvis and wound up hurting him a bit. I can't recall the particulars at this very moment but do remember reading that E was quite upset about it.
his tailors were pretty pissed that he tossed his gold belt and cape into the crowd. those cost hundreds of dollars and they had to be replaced right away for the next shows

Perfection, there is no other word to describe this beautiful man. The live version of this song always gets me; I’m not such a fan of the studio recording but when he did it live and hit that note, it gives me chills. I went to Graceland a few years ago and my husband laughs at me because I started crying the minute I heard Welcome To My World when we on the van that takes you to Graceland. He knew I was going to be fangirling the entire time. Being in his house was so peaceful and so serene, I still can’t believe I was there. I will always love Elvis. ❤️❤️
I’m only 18 years old so I was born 27 years after Elvis’s death but I’ve grown up listening to his music with my grandma and just love it. This is one of my favorite of Elvis' concerts. I used to lined up my dollies and stuffed animals around the television and watch a VHS tape of this show. I would pretend we were at the concert. Elvis passed beyond the veil 11yrs before my birth but his music has been a constant in my life. His talent is so incredible that he continues make fans all over the world even to this day. He transcends time and lives on in his music, films and the hearts of his many fans. ♥️

I just went to see Graceland and I am so touched by Elvis now. My parents loved him, especially my mom and I remember them having this performance on tape. They have both passed away and I felt like in their honor, it was nice to go since they never did. Through me, I hoped to feel alittle closer to that for them. I can see why my mom loved him so. @@ireneduke5022 He died around like 7-9am in the morning as when they found, rigor mortos has set in by the time they found him at 1.30, this happens 4-6 hours after dying. Through that night he went to the dentist, had his hair washed, played racquetball and sang and had a laugh afterwards until they went to bed around 5am

I remember the good times when I was little, and every afternoon, after doing my homework, I kept playing in my room while my dad listened to his songs, sitting on the couch, after working the whole night, and usually my father would drink soda and offer me too. At that time, I didn't know rock well or had any idea how iconic Elvis Presley was/is, but today I see that I ended up becoming a fan like my father. ❤❤❤

You know what’s great about this, is how lazy Elvis sings this classic track. And it’s amazing because it’s Elvis. He half asses the beginning of the song and closes with a bang. Classic American icon all day long; twice on sundays. Elvis forever.
